The Radison location was the best part of the stay. We were going to the Lexington and the beach and they were both right there. The staff at the Radison was very friendly and helpful. However if you are looking for a clean room you may want to check for something else. There was a huge wad of hair in our room and the air conditioner was very loud.

the hotel was great, injoy the ocean view. the water was warm so around 2 or 3 o'clock the jelly fish would come to shore so you needed to swim before that time. there were lots of shops within walking distance.

If you want to see USS Lexington, this is the place to be. For me the only one - truly with no alternative. The hotel is on the beach unlike some other better ones. Apparently the hotel was jait renovated, however, somehow it gives me the vibe of a slightly dilapidated vacation place from the 70s and well past it's heyday. Overall we were quite happy with the hotel. It was very clean..nice room. Love that is was right on the each and walking distance to most of the things we wanted to see. Our last night, my grandson got sick in one of the beds. We called housekeeping and they were there within 7 minutes. They cleaned the bed, gave me extra plastic beds for his night […] clothes and were very sympathetic with him. They won major points in my book. The only down side for us was the cost of the breakfast buffet. $10 for adults and $8 for kids is a little steep for the basic breakfast foods. Parking can be a challenge. Very small lot for all those people. Our overall experience was a good one. I would recommend this hotel. Nice pool, right on the beach and close enough to all the good landmarks. I loved this hotel! They were pretty much done with renovations when we checked in and I thought the hotel looked great. I found the staff very helpful in recommending places to eat that were within walking distance. There was a damaged ceiling tile in the bathroom that I requested be replaced (it's creepy to have a tile with a hole in it!) and this […] was promptly done. You can't beat the beach access and access to good food and tourist attractions! The only negative that I found was the hotel restaurant, it was terrible! Don't waste your time or money there. The rooms were a bit small for the price, but they were very clean, and I really enjoyed the closeness of the hotel to the Lexington and the Aquarium. You could walk to both of them, as well as to many shell shops and restaurants. Now for the negatives. Our toilet did not flush well. It took several flushes before even urine would go down. Hotel staff […] wasn't very helpful. We called down for a taxi, and the staff never called it in. We waited for nearly an hour to find out that the person who said they were going to call us a taxi never did. While the restaurant downstairs is convenient, if you want decent service, you're better off going to one of the surrounding restaurants. They were having a breakfast buffet downstairs the morning we left. I've been to many hotels, and it was the same stuff you'd find on a free continental breakfast at other hotels. However, they were charging expensive restaurant pricing for it. When we decided to order off the menu instead, it took us 45 minutes to get served. Not to mention that one of my parties meals was so gross that she had to send it back. Overall, I'd give this hotel 3 stars. Gorgeous view. Clean rooms. We got two rooms for the five of us. The one on the corner is a family room which is very roomy, so we could have possibly all fit in just one room. Both rooms have balconies with fantastic views, well worth the top dollar you pay. And it's so convenient to dip in the water and then walk right back to your room to have a nice shower. We paid about $10 a person for some very limited selection, and a glass of juice is extra $3. I think this hotel will eventually be nice, but when I checked in there was renovation going on all around me. The lobby was all torn up, they moved the restaurant up to the 3rd floor, the desk clerks made it sound like it was no big deal. It got worse as I went to my room on the 6th floor and found countertops lined up and down the hallways, covers […] off of electrical outlets and........masking tape with numbers written on the tape to indicate room numbers. Really?? All I could think about is how easy it would be for someone to move all the taped numbers to different doors. Room was fairly clean but the balcony door would stick and TV remote didn't work properly. 10 minutes after I checked in, there was loud knocking on the door and 4 men told me in broken english that they wanted to come in to install a counter top. I told them the counter top was fine, but their broken english didn't allow them to understand until 1 walked in and saw the counter was already installed. The free appetizers in Happy Hour were non-existant until someone reminded the bartender and he went out and brought back some chips and salsa and some chicken tenders and sat them on the bar in front if them. BUT......like I say, these may have only been temporary incidents and maybe after the renovations, all will be OK. Oh.....by the way, for my entire three night stay, the electrical outlet cover was never replaced on the open outlet in the hallway. Read more

The over-all stay at the Raddisson was a pleasant stay except for a few items that were hard to over look. The hotel was in the midst of remodeling and we had non-stop nail banging and drilling the whole time. We only visited the lounge once and found the bartender rude and hostile. This was the perfect location for us. Beach was literally out the back door of the hotel and we were able to walk to the USS Lexington and Aquarium. Room was cleaned and newly renovated.

The bar service is good; the drinks were good. The waiter was helpful and a very nice young man. The food was cold when served at dinner and was spicier than represented by the waiter. Eventhough the lobby was under renovation, the hotel was wonderful. The staff was so cheerful and friendly, from the front desk to the maids. To me, that is an indicator that they take care of their employees. The location CANNOT be beat! We parked our car and walked everywhere for 4 days. Hotel was being renovated so this was somewhat of an inconvenience. However, once the renovations are complete it should be fine. Our room was very clean. My experience was terrible. I usually don't post reviews but the Radisson in Corpus deserves a negative review. The hotel lobby area is under construction which I understand however the rooms were very dated and in poor condition overall. I got in very late and when I laid down on the bed in room 402 it was hard as a rock and all springs. I have stayed in numerous hotels at corpus christi ( I live in san antonio). All I can say about the Radisson is WHY DID I NOT KNOW YOU EXISTED BEFORE? It could have saved me a lot of headaches with the other hotels. I have stayed at the "Omni" "Bayfront Inn" "Quality Inn" "Holiday Inn" and "Embassy Suites" and none come close to the Radssion on the […] Beach. It is a great location the lexington is in your backyard literally. You can walk to the Texas State Aquarium and arrive there in 5 minutes. They have a private beach that well maintained I did not see any trash what so ever. Management goes out of their way to keep this place clean trust me I saw it first hand. A spring breaker threw a coke bottle at the trashcan but missed, knowing that she missed she stil didn't pick it up. I saw a manager look at us and then shook his head and picked it up himself. It was a great stay. I only have TWO complains. First do not get a room that has twin beds there is not enough room to do anything but sleep and maybe sit at a corner. I'm sure the King size rooms don't have this problem. My second complaint is that they are working on renovations they have a sign that says "sorry for the inconvinence but are are working on rennovations for your future stay". Lovely. On the beach. Remodeling almost complete. Includes new mattresses and furniture. Easy walk to local restaurants. Not downtown, but excellent on the beach location. Just 1000 feet from carrier Lexington, on permanent display. In hotel restaurant and bar. Great balconies.. specify ocean side. Sunrise is into your room.. beautiful.
