Good Hotel,great location, and lots of fun

The hotel was nice. Being on the beach was a bonus, the Lexington and Aquarium are a short walk to get to. Blackbeards restaurant was great, Pier 99 was not so great, bad service, hot beer. I love where this hotel is located, but did not like where our room was located. We got a great view of the air conditioning units and the parking lot. A/C was not working well so it was very sticky and humid in our room and when we opened up the balcony door to get some air flow, we were welcomed with not the sounds of the ocean, but the noise of all […] the outdoor a/c units right below our window. The hotel radisson was close to the use Lexington and aquarium which was nice. The beach was nice clean enough. The hotel itself is in bad shape, seagull poop splattered all over the back walls by the beach, the outside shower from beach to hotel had a major leak from the handle. I was pleased with the hotel. The room was large..nice beds and the balconies were awesome. I would stay here again.

Will stay again, hotel need to open up more days.

hotel was great for the most part. Great location be warned about the local transient in area, not that the hotel is responsible but be forwarned. The bartender in the 3rd floor bar didnt have a clue. I booked a room with Sleep Number beds but the room had Serta beds. We complained and were immediately upgraded to a Business Class room at no extra cost. Very nice hotel, convenient to State Aquarium and USS Lexington, but across the harbor bridge from Corpus Christi. We love the location of this hotel. It is right on the beach. They do NOT have an Ethernet connection in the rooms even though we were told they did. The restaurant was not very good. Although there were not very many people there the service was slow and the food was of poor quality.

Good value

The room was so small you could hardly walk around. The sink in the bathroom was very low and the door to the bathroom barely cleared the stool. Employees very friendly. would not stay again because of the room.

In town for business meetings and relaxation. Wanted a hotel on the beach which was quiet but still nice. I had a beach view room which had a great view off the balcony. The furnishings were nice. overall for a beachfront hotel in CC great property. The staff was very helpful and professional. Unfortunately there was a problem with the plumbing the […] evening i arrived and the next morning. No cold water only very hot water so showering was not an option, yes sponge bath. Air conditioning is wall units. They cycle on and off and mine was very noisy so not much in the good sleep department for me all night. Also not a fan of the sleep number beds not comfortable at all. the only thing i did not like about this hotel is the small swimming pool.. otherwise everything else was great. The fact that it is located on the beach, it is very convenient to The Grey Ghost and the Texas State Aquarium. There are also several eateries within walking distance. I'll stay there again.

This is a nice hotel on the CC bay beach. My work takes me to several beach-side locations on the Texas Coast. There are often problems with mold, mildew, sand, rust, maintenance, and air conditioners that just can't keep up with the humidity. The equipment coughs and wheezes all night, keeping you up, while they work to cool the hot, damp beach air. […] Not so at the Radisson--the a/c was well maintained, efficient, and a relatively quiet backdrop for a good night's sleep. This hotel is close to the Lexington, the Aquarium, and just across the bridge from downtown and the courthouse--5 minutes normally. Yet, it's on the beach, and you can come back to the hotel from business appointments, change into beach shorts, and spend a quiet moment in the beauty of the salty breezes on the beach. It's a world away from business pressure. The staff members, though not big-city professional types, were very nice. They worked to make you happy in a Corpus Christi kind of way. For a vacationing family, this hotel is a little pricier than some of the others on the same beach, but it's definitely in a class above the others. There are other nice hotels downtown, but they don't have the beach like the Radisson right on the property. As long as the rates are suitable, I will plan to stay there my next trip. Read more

It was nice to be right on the beach and to have an bay view from our room. But, the price was a little high for what we got in the room. It needs to be updated if the prices are going to be at this rate. It looked like I walked in to a 1970s movie. Although the hotel is in a good location - on the beach, it is badly in need of some maintenance. Air conditioner appears to be a very old window unit - very loud kept me awake all night. Room was in need of cleaning - lamp not working, bad electrical outlet, painting needed. Food at the restaurant was questionable at best - honeydew melon on Belgian […] waffles???? Hotel is old as all hotels in texas gulf, but kept in good shape, sand in the beach is very coarse (lots of shell pieces) and good restaurants are all about 7 miles from hotel.

The hotel was a decent stay. The pool area was ok but could have been cleaner and too many people who weren't staying there were swimming in it. The hotel room was ok. It was clean except the bathroom could have been cleaner and the AC didn't work well in the room. It was hot in the room til about 2am.

I heard a lot of things about Texas beaches not being what I am used to considering I am from cali but they were wrong. It was gorgeous!! Our view was amazing. I can't wait to go back and get the same room at this awesome hotel. The staff was really sweet. Wonderful place to vacation!! Wish I was there now...heehee!!

We loved being able to walk to the Aquarium and the Lexington and also to a good restaurant. Also a very short drive downtown to a good restaurant. Some of the staff were amazingly helpful. We asked for a room where we could play games on a table. An employee from maitanance made arrangements with the manager for us to play in a conference room for […] 2 different nights. Also, another employee gave us discount coupons for the Aquarium and Lexington after we mentioned we were going there. The 2 bad things: Something was terrible wrong with our air conditioner. It would start and stop at unpredictable times during the night and was very loud. The 1st night we all did not get very good sleep. The second night was better, but still decreased our sleep. I would not recommend this hotel unless they fix their ac. Next,I left my cell phone wall charger on the day we left. I realized I had left it and called immediarely the next morning. After 3 unsuccesful attempts over 4 days, to get someone to try to find my charger a front desk employee named Lisa said she found what she thought was my charger. We stopped by the hotel on our way back home and it was not my charger. I find this very aggravating. I felt that the housekeeping manger should have contacted the houscleaner for our rooom that day and ask her about the charger. I feel I this situation was handled in a poor manner. Read more

Not bad for hotel on water location good, next to uss lexington. The only nad thing was the outside trash on the property. The restaurant was fair. The room was clean but needed to be updated. Would stay there again.

Hotel was nice, good location. BUT those sleep number beds, I HATE THEM! We had twin beds and they stunk. One person moves and you bounce the other out of bed. If you're a couple don't accept a twin bed. Shouldn't be twin beds in the bay view rooms.

We were a bit pessimistic on our way to the Radisson, as my husband had read some negative reviews about the hotel. Well, we were pleased 100%; great places to eat nearby, and our room was very clean. Would definitely stay there again.

Best location, hotels is truely on the beach, great pool side bar !! Excellent DJ party !! Staff was truely great !! Food in restaurant was excellent!!

Friendly hotel staff.... great location .... walking distance to what we went to Corpus Christi for-the USS Lexington and the Texas State Aquarium. Would stay at this hotel again.

My husband surprise me with a getaway for mothers day that evening and it was just what I needed. The jacuzzi in our room was perfect just like my view of the water and lexington. We took a walk by the water and could see our room from a far. The bed sheets were nice and soft and the coffee was good as well. I enjoyed my stay and recieved our wake up […] call as asked . Even though I lived in CC for most of my entire life, I have never stayed on North Beach. The Radisson was awesome for our first stay. The staff was very accomodating to our two little girls. Even though my little angles threw fits. We will be going back soon. We really liked the Sleepnumber bed in our room.

The room was good but we went to the bar for a drink, it was terrible. They didn't have all of the ingredients but didn't tell us. After they served us an incomplete drink they still charged us full price for our drinks. I even asked for a discount. They had signs outside for pool bar but it wasn't open. The hotel staff was wonderful but the hotel was old and smelly! There was also a roach in the room. The air conditioning was broken and the room was muggy all day. It was humid and we were beach front so I am sure that added to the temperature. There is also only one restaurant near the hotel. All the buildings surrounding the hotel are abandoned. Due to my position at work and personal travel I have to stay a night or two in hotels almost every week. I can say that this hotel hands down has the customer service I've only found in much more expensive hotels (i.e.; Four Seasons). The service was prompt, courteous and very welcoming. I really wanted to like this hotel, but I can not recommend it. More importantly I can not recommend Corpus Christi, Texas as a vacation destination. The town and specifically the area around the hotel are just dying and in need of a serious face lift. That would be okay except the locals haven't acknowledged it yet and appear to be simply skating on […] their gulf beach location. The hotel staff were definitely all nice and they tried to help, but their standards are just so low. It almost felt like people were in a state of denial or apathy about their current condition and future direction. They recommend local restaurants that are complete greasy spoons or the local fast food joint (WhataBurger), and our service experience in the Radisson restaurant was just laughably bad. I repeat that everyone is nice, but some good tough love from corporate training would go a long way at this property. For those that would wonder if my standards are just too picky, service is the least important thing for me in a restaurant. The general condition of the hotel (fixtures and furnishings) is just good enough not to be horrible, but it all could really use some love and some style. We won't be returning to Corpus Christi; and if we did, we wouldn't return to this area or this hotel. As a side note, the Lexington tour was close in proximity but also similarly disappointing with no tour guides or self guided audio tours. I was so excited and interested in this attraction, but we received no real information from going on board, no war time stories etc that make this type of tour memorable. Think Alcatraz Island's self guided audio tour. The gale force winds in spring time Corpus Christi are a deterrent; but overall, I think the tag line of the weekend was what a local told us when responding to what he liked best about CC, Texas, "It's 30% cheaper." We rented a beach side view room which had a balcony per se but the building extended out so there wasn't a very clear view of the beach. Plus the balcony area wasn't as clean as I would have liked. There was some sort of sticky substance on the railing and floor which I assume might have been bird poo. Everything else about the place was great though. […] It's within walking distance of the USS Lexington museum which was great by the way. Nice and Clean, easy access to area attractions.

I was not entirely happy with the cleanliness given the price. The beds are sleep number, but small and do not really work that well. It was loud with doors slamming all around us and kids above us bumping around till morning hours. We were down to ONE elevator upon check out and stood in line 30 minutes just to get on the elevator to check out. I can't […] say I will stay again. Very disappointed. Checkout ckerk never even asked how our stay was also it took 3 phone calls and over 3 hours to have an extra blanket sent up. Unacceptable! Read more
