Great location across from Gare de l'est train station. Subway and buses around the hotel. Nice renovated rooms with soundproof windows and coffee maker. Will book it again on my next Paris stay.

We loved this hotel. The staff was really nice and the rooms were freshly renovated. It's a very short walk to Gare d nord also. I rated it high for location because of its proximity to the train stations. Otherwise its within walking distance of the louvre and Notre dame.

it was difficult locating the hotel from the train station due to hotel signage being too highup in the building: even though hotel is very, very close to the train station. but once we got into the hotel, even at the lobby, we could discern that it was going to be a comfortable hotel, and it was! Room was clean and newly refurbished, bathroom was nice/new but small. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful and spoke good english. We did have trouble with WIFI and had to go to the lobby to connect, but after 3 days someone came to our room and fixed the problem. We had a little balcony that looked out onto the street and overlooked the Gare de […] Est. When window was closed the room was quiet enough, but with window open it was very noisy because of the trains, metro, buses and traffic on the street. The location was okay, just a little sketchy for walking around at night. There were a lot of restaurants and bakery's within walking distance, and a grocery store right down the street. We had a McDonald's on the corner that was open early so we could get our coffee. Easy to get everywhere by public transit because of the train/metro station being right across the street. Read more

Had a wonderful stay. Very clean. Spoke english at front desk. Kept our luggage for the entire next day. Very close to Gare de L'est. Very easy metro and bus network access. Breakfast was pretty expensive so we skipped it and ate while we were out. Everything else was awesome.

The hotel was absolutely wonderful....extremely clean, friendly very helpful staff who spoke good English, incredible location....right across the street from gare de l'est metro station which is a major metro station with very easy access to the city center (about twenty minutes) and very easy access CDG airport (one metro stop to gare du nord where […] you can take the train (about 45 mins). I would definitely stay here agin, it was a great place to come home to after a busy day touring the city. I stayed in the comfort single...perfect for one person. It had a double bed and just enough room for everything I needed. Small but with everything I needed. One thing to consider--the walls are a little thin and you can hear the tv in the next room if it is loud....it was not a problem for me at all and this is something I think you will find in most hotels, but if you are a very light sleeper you may want earplugs. We booked a Privilege Room since those rooms seem to be in the renovated part of the hotel. The room was more spacious than we expected and quite clean. The neighboorhood isn´t that pleasant but it is very near to a metro station and both Gare de L´Est and Gare du Nord.

Hotel is being extensively renovated (8 of 12 rooms on each floor) and the entire hotel had a dusty smell. The air conditioner in our room was not working and we had to leave the balcony door open to let some air in as room was stuffy otherwise. The room we were given had vintage appliances -hair dryer seemed to be from the 80s. The hotel is very convenient […] for using the metro and the hop-on hop-off tour bus stops just around the corner. We used this bus to get a lay of the land for our first two days and then used the metro. Shower had good water pressure. There are several cafes nearby serving a delicious fixed price breakfast for much less than the hotel. We liked a couple of places right in front of the train station. The hotel was in avery good location, near one of the main train stations,moblity was easy to and from the Airport and it's located near a metro station as well. The room was clean and elegent though it was small but for me it was ok and confortable. The staff are very freindly. I will go back again and stay in the same hotel if possible.

You can't beat the location if you are traveling by train and want a convenient place to stay for Gare de l'est and Gare du Nord easy access. Although the neighborhood is grittier than some, it seemed safe and has plenty of cafes and boulangeries and we walked to Canal St. Martin area. If you like whodunit theater mysteries then this is the right hotel for you, if you don't run the other way. Upon entering the hotel I encountered a woman yelling at concierge about someone fixing her ac. The guy at the concierge desk was curt and condescending with his responses. I approached the desk after she left to only meet the same condescending […] tone!! Do not be fooled by the beautiful doors on the outside the hotel is run down and gave me a fright for the two days I stayed. To make matters worst there was a pigeon's nest outside my window smattered with pigeon feces. Then when I visited my parents room I saw that their bed was practically on the floor, I don't think they had a box spring for their mattress. This hotel was extremely good value for our stay and the staff were very pleasant, helpful, and spoke excellent english. the convenience was outstanding with the East Train Station and the Metro station right outside the door and we walked everywhere from NotreDame to Arc deTriumph, LaFayette mall, and Champs Elysses (because we wanted, we took the […] subway many times as well). The room was fine by most Paris standards (they did upgrade us due to the length of our stay). Several local restaurants, cafe's, and bakery right outside the door. We were there in early July, so weather was great, which was good since the room air conditioner seemed inadequate (we did not talk to the desk to correct as we merely opened the patio door at night and did not stay in the room except for sleeping). Though the Hotel was under renovation ( which was known to us in advance)that didn't disturb us at all. The room was very nice and quiet (room 605) The neighbourhood was a little on the rough side but not too much. The service was polite and nice. Those who have stayed in Paris before will know to pay a lot and not expect much in return when it comes to hotel rooms, so I was pleasantly surprised with this one. It was modern, had a great flat screen TV, really nice and friendly staff. Rooms nicely done,clean and quiet but small. Tea and coffe in rooms could be of better quality . Quite good location for those who need to get to the tube/train but also some doggy people around station. Service nice and helpful. Generally ok hotel if you need a few nights to sleep there.
