The room was clean, definitely redone recently, but incredibly small. Several feet on each side of the bed and a shower door that opened inward because there wasn't room for it to open outward. We stayed on the first floor and you could hear the metro underground. Not sure if this would have been quieter on an upper floor. We loved this hotel. The staff was really nice and the rooms were freshly renovated. It's a very short walk to Gare d nord also. I rated it high for location because of its proximity to the train stations. Otherwise its within walking distance of the louvre and Notre dame.

Room was clean and newly refurbished, bathroom was nice/new but small. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful and spoke good english. We did have trouble with WIFI and had to go to the lobby to connect, but after 3 days someone came to our room and fixed the problem. When window was closed the room was quiet enough, but with window open it was very noisy because of the trains, metro, buses and traffic on the street. The location was okay, just a little sketchy for walking around at night. There were a lot of restaurants and bakery's within walking distance, and a grocery store right down the street. Had a wonderful stay. Very clean. Spoke english at front desk. Kept our luggage for the entire next day. Very close to Gare de L'est. Very easy metro and bus network access. Breakfast was pretty expensive so we skipped it and ate while we were out. Everything else was awesome.

The hotel was absolutely wonderful....extremely clean, friendly very helpful staff who spoke good English, incredible location....right across the street from gare de l'est metro station which is a major metro station with very easy access to the city center (about twenty minutes) and very easy access CDG airport (one metro stop to gare du nord where […] you can take the train (about 45 mins). I would definitely stay here agin, it was a great place to come home to after a busy day touring the city. I stayed in the comfort single...perfect for one person. It had a double bed and just enough room for everything I needed. Small but with everything I needed. One thing to consider--the walls are a little thin and you can hear the tv in the next room if it is loud....it was not a problem for me at all and this is something I think you will find in most hotels, but if you are a very light sleeper you may want earplugs. We booked a Privilege Room since those rooms seem to be in the renovated part of the hotel. The room was more spacious than we expected and quite clean. The neighboorhood isn´t that pleasant but it is very near to a metro station and both Gare de L´Est and Gare du Nord.

Hotel is being extensively renovated (8 of 12 rooms on each floor) and the entire hotel had a dusty smell. The air conditioner in our room was not working and we had to leave the balcony door open to let some air in as room was stuffy otherwise. The room we were given had vintage appliances -hair dryer seemed to be from the 80s. The hotel is very convenient […] for using the metro and the hop-on hop-off tour bus stops just around the corner. We used this bus to get a lay of the land for our first two days and then used the metro. Shower had good water pressure. There are several cafes nearby serving a delicious fixed price breakfast for much less than the hotel. We liked a couple of places right in front of the train station. The hotel was in avery good location, near one of the main train stations,moblity was easy to and from the Airport and it's located near a metro station as well. If you like whodunit theater mysteries then this is the right hotel for you, if you don't run the other way. Upon entering the hotel I encountered a woman yelling at concierge about someone fixing her ac. The guy at the concierge desk was curt and condescending with his responses. Do not be fooled by the beautiful doors on the outside the hotel is run down and gave me a fright for the two days I stayed. To make matters worst there was a pigeon's nest outside my window smattered with pigeon feces. The hotel is being renovated so it's a bit of a mess. The room I stayed in was already renovated but they could've have done better job on the shower as it leaked everywhere. Although the hotel provides free wifi, I could rarely pick it up in my roomand ended up sitting on the stairs in the coridor.

The room was very nice and quiet (room 605) The neighbourhood was a little on the rough side but not too much. The service was polite and nice. This was fine for a quick place to sleep and get back to business, at a reasonable price for the area. The hotel is conveniently situated about 500m from Gare du Nord and by the Gare de l'Est. However, it is undergoing renovation and is a building site right now, so no breakfast room, lots of plastic sheets covering areas of the building, and a bit […] shabby chic.
