rooms are tiny, shower construction a bid odd, bed is horribly soft, great sound proofing in the hallways however and great double glass windows, comfy rain shower, breakfast abundant and tasty, the worst coffee however. expensive.

Just a 5 minute walk from the train station and an easy walk to all the major sights, this is a great location. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Room was clean, quiet and well appointed Euro small but completely adequate EXCEPT the promised WIFI in the room did not exist unless you put your iPhone next to the door to the hallway or out the window - frustrating! […] Strong WIFI in the lobby tho. Covers on the bed were a bit thin. Bathroom was compact but great shower with hand held unit and rain shower head, also nice toiletry goodies! The hotel has an incredibly convenient location. It is just a 2 minute walk from central station. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. My wife and I stayed at the Central Hotel for two nights before embarking on a Baltic Sea cruise. In summary, this is a good, clean hotel, at a good price (compared to others out there), in a great location, making it an excellent value. From Arlanda Airport, Central Station in Stockholm is only about 20 minutes away, non-stop, on the Arlanda Express […] train. From Central Station, the Central Hotel is just across the street, and walking distance to Gamla Stan (old town). We took a side trip by train to Eskilstuna, so having convenient train access was a plus. The room was small (by US standards) and had no air-conditioning, but that was not a problem given it did have "Swedish air-conditioning" (meaning, you can crack the windows) which worked out fine. Free WiFi and a central lobby computer made communication with family, friends (and work) very doable. Breakfast was excellent, and in Swedish style (cheeses, sausage, pate, lingonberry yougurt, plus the scrambled eggs and bacon Americans are accustomed to). Very clean, and the staff was very responsive, allowing us to check in early as soon as room became available. I think the key in picking a hotel in Stockholm is to first define what you are looking for. If you want to spend more, have a view of Gamla Stan, and live in American style, the Sheraton is a great option. For us, we subscribed to the view of when in Stockholm, do as the Swedes do, and the Central Hotel provides that. Good luck in your travels! Read more

I have stayed here before and this stay was like the rest, FABULOUS in every way. I had a single room with a window to the back courtyard, the recycling bins are occasionally picked up at 1 am, but the rest of the city noise is nonexistant. Excellently located by the central train station, though the area itself is somewhat lacking in character and seemed rather desolate at night. Still, it's very conveniently located to the Stroget, Gamala Stan, and City Hall and everywhere else I wanted to visit. It's also rather close by to the grocery store on the Stroget which was handy for water […] and snacks. In terms of amenities -- The breakfast was good with both warm and cold offerings and were constantly restocked. The wifi connection was strong and steady. I had my own computer but there was public pc in the lobby by the reception for guests to use. Nice hotel. Location is good, with , many stores (mcdonalds, pubs, bars, markets) nearby. Really close to train station. Confortable walking distance to historic center and tourist atractions. The room was fairly clean and faced out into the hotel's rear courtyard, but the single bed was rather small. I did not appreciate being woken up at 6:30 am every morning with the noise of a dustbin lorry reversing into the courtyard at the back, and listening to the rumbling of bins. The shower drain smelled very strongly of sewage and the tile grout was covered in mildew and mold. I went out and bought some bleach and mildew remover and cleaned the shower myself. The response from the front desk was indifferent and no one from the hotel management contacted us about it,

I stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. Its in a perfect location, across the road from both the rail (Centralstation) and Bus (City Terminalen)- when you arrive from Arlanda airport, it is so convenient. But its main convenience is for the city itself - The main shopping areas are a few minutes walk away. Also have perfect access to many key bus routes […] right outside the hotel, and are right next to the main Underground station, T-Centralen - From a location point of view, it cant be beaten (and i know Stockholm very well) The hotel itself is very clean and tidy - The rooms (we stayed in two single rooms), were not huge, but perfectly reasonable for a city centre hotel - I saw into a few others during the stay, and they all looked of a very good size. They are well appointed, and clean and tidy - Nice showers and bathrooms too. Great for the money, and as base for exploring the city they are ideal. The hotel offers breakfast which is the usual continental selection - hams and cheeses, and a variety of breads - but also hot food, including bacon, scrambled egg, sausage (Swedish style frankfurters - which are yummy), and meatballs (it is Sweden after all!). Also nice pastries, cereals, coffee, tea, make your own toast. They also serve coffee and cakes from 2pm each day, for free, which is great, in the lobby bar. Staff were very friendly, and very helpful - Special mention for Annika, who was so helpful in printing off our boarding passes. Cannot recommend hotel enough! Read more

Absolutely amazing hotel. It's located quite centrally and directly across from the train station so it's super easy to get anywhere. From the outside it does not look like it is anything special (in fact I was a little scared when I saw the hotel's sign), but inside it is quite lovely. The room was perfect - cozy, comfortable bed, lovely bathroom with […] a rain shower, flat screen tv with numerous English-language programing. It also has free wireless internet and a spectacular breakfast. I got a really good deal and was beyond surprised. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and I would even pay double of what I payed (which is about the regular price per night) to stay here again.
