The Westin was perfect! Stayed in a suite with friends for a weekend away. The hotel was clean and the service was great. The location is perfect for walking and dining in the old port and totally accessible if you want to spend time downtown or further North. No complaints!

Price at the restaurant was high ei $16.00 for glass of house wine. Gym under reno and card for other facility didn't work

We only stayed the one night at Place d'Armes hotel, on our way back to Vancouver and then home, but we wished we had more time, and will return. The hotel staff were both welcoming and efficient (not a combination one often finds), and the hotel itself was immaculate in every respect. The room was flawless in its design, the bed was soft enough to be comfortable, but not so soft as to feel like one is clambering from a bean-bag, upon rising, (as I found in so many hotels in the States!) I particularly appreciated that the designers had eschewed a bath/shower combination in the large bathroom, and installed a large, stone-clad, walk-in shower with a beautiful glass shower screen, instead. The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring Old Town Montreal by foot, which was just what we wanted to do, since we only had the one night. When we checked out, we left our luggage with Place D'Armes, mentioned when we would return for our flight and, when we did, a taxi was already awaiting us. Immaculate service.

Location.
Situated in the heart of Montreal, Hotel Europeenne is within walking distance of National Library of Quebec and University of Quebec-Montreal. Also nearby are Notre Dame Basilica and Bonsecours Market.

"Hotel Europennee"
because of the location it is a little bit noisy.

The sheets were a bit dirty when we got there, but despite that the standard was definately ok for the price. The breakfast only contained some coffee, muffins and croissants though... Hardly worth it. If you're looking for a cheap hotel with a good location, this hotel is worth the money... Not suitable for longer stayings though since it was a bit […] noisy and not the best hotel ever.... Read more
"good and convenient room"
We found the room small but good enough space. We had slight internet connection problem, but worked fine later. For Air Conditioner, We had to call the reception person to put on. It took sometime to get cold. The Very Awesome fact was the Morning BreakFast. One need not have Lunch. The Muffins was very fresh and BIG SIZE and also the fresh Croissants […] and the Orange Juice. We didnt had time for cofee :-(. I defintely recomment the stay and would personally book again. Read more

"Europeanne"
I guess the biggest disappointment was expecting a hotel that wasn't! This is more a hostal or at best a motel so if it was catogorized as that the I would say it's a good place to stay. It's an old building but clean. If you get the bigger room like I did it back up to the inter-city bus parking lot so you get lotsa noise. There is no air conditioning, […] just a fan so maybe very unconfortable during a hot day. Breakfast is minimal and wi-fi wasn't strong enough to cover the whole building so we couldn't use it. I would recommend it as a hostal/motel but this is not a hotel quality establishment. Read more

"Hotel bien placé à Montreal"
Très bon accueil Chambre agréable et propre Prix raisonnable Petit déjeuner sympa
Un peu à redire sur la propreté, notamment des draps et serviettes de toilette couverture pas très épaisse, mais chambre correcte emplacement idéal à deux pas du centre-ville et petit déjeuner correct
