Truly a hidden gem! Looks run down on the outside, but the rooms are incredible on the inside. High four-poster bed, a gas burning fireplace, really romantic/cozy. Ski/board locker outside the room so you don't have to drag them inside (we stored our Mammoth beer there to stay cold!). Amazing made to order breakfasts every morning (strawberry cream […] cheese stuffed French toast one day, spinach tomato Romano omelette the next). Afternoon snacks. Pam and her husband were wonderful hosts, very informative. Located centrally between Old Mammoth Road area and The Villiage/Mammoth ski resort. Off the main road, so no traffic. The cinnamon Bear Inn is inexpensive, but for that price they have cozy rooms and great service. The location is nice but not within walking distance of the slopes. The people at Cinnamon Bear are great, the location is good, and we even got upgraded to a mini-suite at no additional charge. The only problem was that the bedding was not clean which made us think the whole room might not be so clean. They had an old-style comforter on the bed that had not only hair and stains, but yucky white stuff crusted onto the […] bed cover. (Gee, I wonder what that could be). We immediately removed it from the bed altogether and went to the closet to get another blanket. That too had hair on it so we didn't use it. It was about 20 degrees outside! Once inside your room, you'll find it clean and serviceable. The facility itself is a hodgepodge mess of buildings sited on the deliveries side of a shopping center. The very affable innkeepers make you feel welcome in a visiting-aunt-Millie sort of way. An old, questionably clean, jacuzzi is the only amenity, and some rooms open directly on to this […] noisy eyesore. Though a welcome after-ski perk, you may want to request a room farther away. A delicious (albeit single-choice) breakfast is served 7-9A. I stayed during a heavy snow weekend and found a requirement to move cars to accommodate a plowing schedule annoying. You are also required to dig your own car out of any snow. Not sure the Inn can do much about either, but many local hotels have underground parking. This is NOT a Ritz-Carlton, but you didn't pay for that-- so you're likely to be pleasantly surprised, if not charmed by this quirky and inexpensive Inn. Read more

This place was definitely worth the price. The cheapest in the area, close to shops and the bus service, wonderfully friendly staff, yummy breakfast. I stayed at for two nights at the Cinnamon Bear Inn to visit the surrounding areas - Mono Lake, Bodie, Juno Lakes - and found the Inn a very friendly place in a convenient location. Fireplace in the room and most excellent breakfast. And I even saw a bear during my stay.

We got a suite instead of the deluxe double unit. The sofa bed in the living room was uncomfortable to sleep in with a shape like valley. The pillows are giving me a stiff neck the next day. Other than that, staffs were friendly and we got great tips on where to dine and had a hearty breakfast during our stay.

While it was a little difficult to find the hotel, due to road maintenance, our stay was delightful. The staff could not have been nicer. After a very long day of hiking the Park we were pooped. Staff help load our bags to the room. Very convienent to walk to dinner and shopping. For the price, you just can't pass this one up.

The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was great! The room was adorable, but could use a little updating. The inn is located close to restaurants and shopping but it's not on the main road so it is quiet. The couch was very uncomfortable to sit on but we don't vacation to sit on the couch! Old motel refurbished on a shoestring budget into a bed and breakfast, old worn mattress with egg crate overlay, threadbear bedding. Dining room was pleasant, food above average. Located near shopping, restaurants and a good coffee house though our room faced road construction and the backs of commercial buildings.

My wife and I stayed 6 nights and it was ideal for us. They upgraded us to a room with a kitchenette, which meant we could do our own cooking and save money. This unit came fully supplied with kitchen needs, but also plenty of extra towels, tissue and even a vacuum. I hate to be fussed over at a motel and was there to hike the many trails, not lounge […] in the hot tub. This is not a view motel, but is centrally located, clean and reasonably priced in an expensive resort community. We stayed here during summer for one night on our way to the Yosemite (Tioga Pass) and really enjoyed our stay a Cinnamon Bear Inn. Late checkin (10pm) was no problem, staff are really friendly and the break fast is awesome (freshly made omelett). Overall, a cute family hotel with great value for the money.

room was fine. bathroom was very small, bed was uncomfortable, no air conditioning so it was hot at night even with the windows open. the owner was very nice & helpful. i'm sure in ski season it would be fine as it had a large heater. close to some good restaurants.
