What a beautiful room! It was more like a suite than a regular room. Breakfast was good but a little misleading, with some options included in the room and some for extra cost. It needed a clearer explanation, but was still good and ample.

For the price we paid, it was incredible. Better than our expectations in terms of most everything. It really deserves more like a 4.5, but that's not an option. The only reason I'm not giving it a 5 is that the breakfast left much to be desired. One of the other guests told me that the front desk person went to try and get some food from the on-site restaurant, but she never came back, at least while we were there. It was especially disappointing since the place is outside of Santa Fe (one of its more charming features, otherwise) and there wasn't anywhere else to get breakfast. There's a restaurant on the premises, but it is not open for breakfast (another disappointment) and closes early -- around 7. Food issues nonwithstanding, we had a marvelous time and definitely recommend it. We had a quiet, private, clean room with a balcony, which was lovely. We had access to an outdoor hot tub, which we really enjoyed. The service was friendly and helpful. The grounds were beautiful and well kept -- lovely to walk around while sipping tea in the morning. My husband and I spent one night here over a fall weekend. They are pet friendly, but don't punish you by putting you in a 'special' room only for people with dogs. We had the small pond-view room. We had our own porch, where we ate our free continental breakfast and listened to the sound of the fountains in the ponds. The grounds are beautiful. We didn't have time to tey any spa treatments. The restaurant is plain and has a rather small menu, but we didn't try it. Sitting on the patio overlooking the lovely pond was great, as was eating breakfast outside with the local cats.

I was disappointed in that the room looked shoddy and carpet dirty and worn. The screen door had a hole in the screen and the deck also not well kept. The bed had poor support. Only a small hand soap bar was given, no bath bar.

The hotel grounds are nice. They definitely need to clean the place up and remove all the weeds everywhere. I get that it's supposed to be a bit rugged but weeds and thorns everywhere is not fun. The first night of our 3 night stay they checked us in to a casita with no air conditioning. I also requested a rollaway bed but didn't get it until the second […] night and after much insistence. The second night we were finally moved to a casita with an AC that worked but was somewhat smaller. The beds are very small and the carpets need a good cleaning. It is a wonderful place to stay! It looks and feels more like a retreat or resort than a hotel. Sunrise Springs is located within 20 min. from Santa Fe plaza--so, if you do not mind driving, you will find a very calm and beautifully landscaped garden, with a pond, old weeping willow trees and one-two stories buildings of NM "adobe style" and color. […] Add a swimming pool big enough to swim (not just soak), spa and the restaurant, tea house and more. Room was smaller than those shown online. I think the more you pay the larger the room. Asked for ice and never received a reply. Bed was comfortable. The place was hard to find. Many large trees and shrubs keep the grounds littered with leaves, otherwise it was clean.

If you don't mind a little funkiness and less than perfect maintenance this place is a real find. It is definitely not being kept up well but the basic infrastructure is great. The really nice part which is not reflected in the ratings is the beautiful setting in the countryside not far from downtown Santa Fe and very near I-25 if you want to zip up […] or down to other locations. It's been several years since we stayed here and it has run down quite a bit. No longer has yoga or massage on site (you can call for it). Saved $50 by going thru Expedia. We enjoyed our stay because of the wildness of the place. Grounds and rooms were outdated and run down, ice machine was broken. Very rustic. Far from Santa Fe. We did not have time to walk the wetlands. If your business is in Santa Fe, stay closer to the town.

It was out of the way, but was very secluded. 75 acres of natural gardens and huge trees. The gardens are unmanicured, and a bit raw, but that's the point. Kind of an oasis in the wild. Rooms were very nice - we stayed in the casitas.

With 69 acres it was easy to get lost in the dark and confused. The grounds are beautiful and the pond, water fountains, trees and art were wonderful. We enjoy nature and this place was a wonderful place to connect with nature. The internet was accessible, all of the fixtures worked properly, check-in was friendly and fast.
