I had to catch an early morning flight out of Heathrow and the tube starts to run at 6am which was too late for my flight. Having read prior reviews warning about noisy rooms overlooking the dumpster, I requested a quiet room. Though I had to wait an hour (the noisy room was immediately available!), I took advantage of free wifi in the lounge. The room I ended up with was clean, comfortable, and very very quiet. A delightful place, and a good value for London.

I have stayed at this hotel many times and it has been consistently excellent. Location. It's right at Paddington, so extremely convenient to Heathrow on the Heathrow express train. On the down side, Paddington is not exactly the west end, so if you need to be in the West End after midnight, it's a half hour walk, a 10-15 minute bus ride or a 10pound cab ride back to the hotel. Arrived London Heathrow at 9:30PM, took the Heathrow Express to Paddington Station (15 mintues), then walked around 100 yards to the Hotel and was in my room by 10:30PM. Was not impressed with the condition of the air conditioning unit, it was very wam during our stay no matter what we set the thermostat at. There was a high charge $$$ (for the use of the hotel (business center) computers if you needed anything off the net (like a boarding pass printed out) and did not carry your laptop. Most people on vacation, don't […] want to drag one along, hint hint--but might want a boarding pass check in for the next flight, or a quick email to home to say you have arrived ok. There was no Bible in the room drawer. No ice machines. Lots of external noise from dock loading and unloading during the night hours. Superbly convenient because of its proximity to the train station - we love getting the Heathrow Express train and being able to wheel our luggage up an escalator and directly into the hotel lobby. My room was looked on the alley side right above the loading docks. So each evening minutes before midnight the first delivery truck arrived and woke us up. This continued throughout the night. Paddington Train station with direct trains from Gatwick Airport, the Heathrow Express departing every 15 minutes and Metro stops (20 minutes from where the EuroExpress leaves for the Chunnel) make it the only place to be! It is connected to Paddington Station, so you can literally hop off the Heathrow Express and be in the hotel in less than a minute without walking outside. As I arrived early, they held my luggage for me and even let me use the Executive Lounge to change clothes and get a refreshment free of charge. […] Since it is conveniently located at the station, all of London's attractions are just a train ride away, and at the end of the day when you're tired and jet-lagged, you don't have to walk a million miles to get back to your hotel. I often go through London and stay at the Sofitel at T5 or the Hilton at T4 in Heathrow. It worked out that it made just as much sense to stay at the Paddington Hilton this time. I actually preferred the room to the Hilton at Heathrow itself.

We stayed for a weekend after completing a 12 day cruise out of Southampton. The ship arrived early in the morning and our prearranged shuttle was on time so we ended up at the hotel around 10:30 a.m. Understandably, our room was not yet available and we were able to check our luggage with the bell captain. The comfortable lobby allowed us to sit for […] a while as my wife was suffering from suspected food poisoning and did not feel like venturing out. Our room was available around noon and I was able to venture out to Leister Square to pick up our London Pass. The hotel is adjacent to the Bakerloo tube station which is extremely convenient for catching a circle line train to get just about anywhere in London. The back door of the hotel leads directly into the Paddington train station which has an express and regular train to Heathrow airport. We caught the first train to Heathrow on Monday morning which saved a lot of pounds over taking a taxi. The room was very comfortable, the building is older so it was a bit of a walk to our room, but once in the accommodations were first rate. Complimentary coffee was provided in the room, we did not use the overpriced minibar as there are stores in the train station and across the street which have the same items for one third of the price. Decent pubs are nearby as are American fast food restaurants. Hyde Park is within walking distance. Read more

The Hilton is the closest hotel to Paddington Station -- it is a recognized brand and is oh, so convenient. Unfortunately, right now, workers are tearing up everything right next to the building -- that means noise and dirt so you can't open the windows even though there is no real airconditioning to speak of. Operator does not answer phone promptly after approx. 11.00 pm to set up a wakeup call. Gave up after several attempts and set up the alarm on my watch

Good room, attached to the Paddington station via walkway (look for the signs coming off the Heathrow Express). Internet fast, bed comfortable, room on the small side, but I was never there. Probably the most convenient hotel in London. Change currency across the street to avoid the service fee (3 shops to chose from).
