Pacific Plaza Resort - Oceano

Loved the spaciousness of the rooms and fun decor. We really appreciated the cheerful staff and their quick response to our needs. We also enjoyed the Hot Tub. We would love to return to this hotel for a longer stay. A true "home away from home."

The maid did a terrible job cleaning the room the bedding from the couch was not even folded the coffee table was not wiped clean the couch bed was broken and missing several springs and would not even close I took out the mattress out and slept on the floor

The front desk person, was OK. But, not real enthusiastic. The room was actually quite clean and well taken care of. There were two televisions, one in the living room and one in the bed room. I honestly thought this hotel was going be more like an inn/motel. How wrong I was... The moment you walk in, you're welcomed by the cleanliness of the room as well as a spacious living space. Stayed there 3 nights over the past weekend, and was very pleased with the experience overall. We started out with a two bedroom suite (full suite + the adjoining room), but they were sold out for Sunday night, so we had to move into two separate smaller rooms. the front desk staff was very helpful in this process. The rooms were clean and well equipped, […] and the beds were comfortable. The full kitchen was great, and saved us a ton of money on eating out. Cons: While the hot water in our first rooms worked great, the second smaller room that we moved into did not. It took _FOREVER_ to get warm, and never got hot (no pipe insulation I'd guess). the house keeping standards were clearly posted on the door, yet other than the beds being straightened up while we were out, there was no other sign of their presence, including wet towels left on the floor not replaced. Plan on being self sufficient... Could use some updating, feeling pretty early 90's in decor and technology (19" tvs, next to no wi-fi signal in either room, despite being basically right across from the office). Again, despite those minor challenges, I felt that we got GREAT value for the money spent, and would do it again in a heartbeat. Read more

This is a lovely find of a hotel, and a block away from the beach! We couldn't believe the rate we received on it, too--sure it is off-season (mid-October), but still--the rate combined with the suite, the beautiful grounds, and the location is unbeatable unless you're going for a Motel 6! This was a solid 3.5-4-star hotel. The room had a spacious living […] room, a full kitchen, and a separate King-sized room. TVs were in both the bedrooms and living room. The decor was very clean and tasteful--not outdated in the least. The bed was comfortable, and our 4-year-old daughter slept on the sofa bed without getting up to come in our room (like she does at home :-)) Our room was located in the back, which backed up to a gorgeous nature preserve/small lake (not visible from the room), but the bird wildlife can be heard from the balcony and when outside. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating when we added an extra night to our stay (at the same awesome rate). Our family was camping on the beach, where we would visit every day, and they couldn't believe that the nicest building on the block was where we were staying. Having stayed here several times in the past, we find the facilities clean, comfortable with a friendly helpful staff. Short walk to the dunnes and beach area and several eateries nearby. This was a great place! We always stay in Pismo but couldn't find anything so we tried this place out. It was an easy drive to our favorite places in Pismo. The rooms were spacious and clean. Beds could use an upgrade but it wasn't bad for a weekend. Free wifi (it didn't work our last day). Pool was small but sufficient since we weren't there to swim! Can't be a better location. Each room is a suite so if you have little kids, great place to accomodate everyone. Pool/hot tub too and located just down the street from the dunes entrance. but available services were definitely lacking. No Ice machine at the resort (or should I say "hotel"). Toilet made a very loud noise after flushing..... sounded like a fog horn. We had a basic suite with a king size bed, living room and dining area. It is located within walking distance of the beach. The facility is 2 to 3 miles from most dining facilities. The TV's in the room were very old with very limited reception. If you need a place to stay close to the beach, this place works fine.

The "mini-suite" was one bedroom that was poorly decorated and a very old and faded bedspread. Included in the bedroom was a small table and 2 hardwood chairs + one stuffed chair. The "kitchen" consisted of a microwave on top of the bathroom sink and a small half refrigerator placed where some shelving had been removed under the bathroom sink. We just got back from our trip and stay at this 'resort'. The bed was so uncomfortable that we had back aches the very next morning. We had a studio, in order to use the sink in the bathroom we had to close the door, otherwise the door is in the way. Though, the unit had a small kitchen, lack of space made it very difficult to use the area. The noise […] from the nearby bridge was like the thunder roaring every other minute. My daughter and I went for a girls night...I picked this hotel for the location between san luis and pismo...The room was very clean...The hotel is right at the entrance to the dunes so there is alot of traffic of that nature, although I don't recall a lot of noise...The pool area is small and seperate from the jacuzzi, but warm, we were the only ones […] in it at night...Breakfast is the usual pastry, cereal stuff...It is a little hard to get to from the 101...Overall great place for a family (full kitchen with all the amenities) that plans on going off roading and doesn't want to camp out on the dunes, otherwise its too secluded from everything else...We still had fun though, just had to drive to get everywhere else Read more

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The suite was actually a one bedroom condo, complete with a small kitchen. The kitchen has a full refrigerator, stove, coffee maker and assorted pots, pans and utensils, as well as dishes and cups. The bedroom was spacous with a separate bathroom. However you have to walk through the bedroom to get to the bathroom. […] The sofabed in the living room was a queen size, perfect for two little girls. The fireplace in the living room made it very cozy. We will plan to stay there again. The only complaint is that although there is no smoking in the room, the patios of all the suites have a little table and chairs - and an ashtray - which looks like it gets used often. We could also smell cigarette smoke from the other rooms. The pool is small and the spa is in a separate area not adjacent to the pool. But both clean and heated. Overall, very nice for the price. Trevligt hotell nära Oceano Beach (promenadavstånd). Lägenhetshotell med sovrum+allrum med köksdel. Enkel frukost men inget frukostrum så man får ta med frukosten till rummet.
