Nice hotel in a very good vacation. Close to boutiques, cages and restaurants. Very easy to walk to all the main attractions as well.Genuine Expedia guest review

great hotel in a fabulous location, off the main tourist drag. Right across the bridge from Trastavere where we had dinner and spent time at night. Highly recommend.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to Everything, this was a great place."
Breakfast is included, very good! Beds are comfy, but the pillows are hard, not comfortable. Hotel rooms nice and very clean, also close to great food- cross the bridge for good food and prices, Visit Hostaria Pizzeria, Vicolo Caruso, Vicolo De Cinque. 27 ask for Alex - prices are great and the food is delicious! Hotel was within walking distance to […] everything- we walked the entire ancient city with no problems. Absolutely safer to walk, don't drive. Also, get a driver to pick you up from the airport. One thing, we booked thru expedia which noted that the hotel would only accept payment in the local currency. When we went to check out the hotel would only let us pay part of the bill in local currency, some Italian law about limits paying no more than $1200 in cash, Just be prepared to pay the rest with debt card. Also be prepared, street vendors and unsavory characters will do anything to help you and your money part! Many scam artists on the streets and in the piazzas, just keep walking and pretend you don't understand is the best way to del with this. Also, Rome never sleeps, but the windows in this hotel are pretty soundproof, another plus. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Close to beach"
We drove, so not the easiest hotel to find, but the hotel is close to the beach. In a town that is built on the side of a very steep cliff we were in a perfect location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Everything but wifi"
We enjoyed our stay at Ponte Sisto Hotel. Located near the Ponte Sisto pedestrian hotel, it was within walking distance from most tourist attractions (if in good walking shape) from the Colosseum to the Galleria Borghese to the Vatican City. The rooms are rather spacious by Roman standards and the bed was comfortable. The staff was very ready to help […] whether calling a taxi or making a reservation . The hotel has a beautiful courtyard and a spacious area to use wifi. There is the rub though; wifi was not available in the rooms. It is rather surprising that such a hotel lacks such an amenity. As much as I liked the Ponte Sisto, without wifi I would stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Love the hotel, but needs wifi in the rooms!"
I love this hotel and have stayed several times because of the ambiance inside (plus amazing courtyard and roof deck!) and the fantastic location. I really have no complaints except one: they MUST get wifi in the rooms. It's a real inconvenience not to have it. They offer you a cable at the desk but it just won't do with modern computers or iPads, iPhones, […] or other tablets. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good hotel but bad WiFi"
The hotel was as advertised. Great location for seeing Rome. Well updated, modern, clean and has Italian charm. But I was there on a business trip and needed WiFi and while they advertise they have it (for free) which they do, the bandwidth is so low it is effectively useless.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
very nice and upscale. single room was really small but ok for 1 if you are only sleeping there. great location if your kid goes to john cabot university and you are visiting.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great first time experience in Rome"
The location of the hotel was great! We walked everywhere. We found incredible shops, restaurants and sites just by wandering around. The room was just right. It was a girls trip and we had single rooms. The rooms were small but in a cozy, not tight, way. Bed was very comfortable. We always woke up ready to go! Breakfast was a delight. Staff was very […] accommodating. My luggage decided to stay an extra day in Amsterdam and was arriving in Rome a day after I did. Because I was scheduled for a walking tour, the staff handled the situation and my bag was waiting for me at the end of the day. We ended each day on the Sisto bridge, enjoying a gelato from the shop 20 steps from the hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great off-season stay!"
I can't really think of a single bad thing to say about the Hotel Ponte Sisto. The staff was very friendly and helpful...giving us directions, recommendations and offering assistance for anything we needed. The hotel was very clean, well maintained and reasonably quiet (the seagulls were the loudest thing we heard during our 4 day stay). The full breakfast […] buffet (included) was very good and had a fairly wide range of items to choose from...from healthy choices to the other end of the spectrum. The location couldn't have been any better in our case. We had planned to walk to all the major sites around the city and found that most everything (The Vatican, the forums, the collesium, etc) were within 30-40 miutes waliking time. There is also a wide variety of restaurants within a few minutes walk and a very nice Gelato place across the street. We would definitely stay here again for our next trip to Rome. "Across the romantic Ponte Sisto bridge......."
Hotel Ponte Sisto has a good location near Campo de Fiore,Trasvestre and many shops and restaurants within a few feet. The very romantic bridge Ponte Sisto is across the street and many walk in the moonlight to cross over into the hip and young croud of Trasvestre. We easily walked to and from the Vatican from the hotel and Plaza Navonna was about a […] 10-15 minute walk The room was a little tight but had a very nice view ,a large closet and a large bath. The staff was pleasant and the breakfast buffet was bountiful and yummy. The interior courtyard was quite beautiful and romantic, even though it was too cold for outdoor dining in December. "Great hotel for proximity to certain key sites"
Well locted for those seeking proximity to the Jewish Ghetto, Synagogue, Capotoline Museums and Forum. About a 30 minute walk to the Vatican. Staff is cooperative but not overly warm. Decent views. Our room had a small veranda that was charming. Very nice breakfast. All in all, a good value that we would recommend.Genuine Expedia guest review
Loved this place! Great location, near the Campo di Fiori and the Trastevere and within walking distance to so many sites. I had a single standard and it was small but clean and cozy, overlooking the courtyard. No wifi, but if you have a cable, the internet works fairly well. There is wifi in the very charming lobby/breakfast area. The staff was WONDERFUL […] - they will point you where you need to go, call you a cab, recommend restaurants and tours, AND they speak English. We had a great experience with this hotel. Very clean and cozy. There are no showers but a very large bathtub. I love it but my husband had a hard time taking a bath as suppose to a shower. "Great location, good value."
Great location, just a couple of minutes walk to Campo di Fiori. Across the bridge is Trastevere. All the major sites are within walking distance. The hotel itself is at par with the typical 4-star hotels in Europe. It's comparable to a Marriott Courtyard in the U.S., except of course, it's in Rome. The room I got on the 5th Floor was small. It had […] a double bed, a table, closet, and bathroom. There was a well-stocked mini bar. I didn't mind this too much because I didn't spend much time in the room, but if you're planning on using your room a lot, then you might want to check on the square footage you're getting. What it has going for it is cleanliness. My room was spotless. So was the bathroom. That's always a big plus in my book. They serve breakfast in the morning, and it's a feast: breads, meats, eggs, cereal, cheeses, yogurt, pastries, coffee, juices, etc. It's enough to keep me full until dinner. The staff was very courteous and accommodating. I would recommend this hotel to friends. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great Location, Good example of Euro hotel"
Love the area, especially as my daughter was in school just across the Tiber. The staff was extremely helpful. The hotel room were comfortable, the bathroom was up to date, but the decor is classic Euro style, circa 1995Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel is very nice and a good value for the rate. It is close to many of the sites but in a fun neighborhood area that has great restaurants and shops. I had no problem with noise that some complained of but I live in a major city so use to it. Staff was very professional. The breakfast was great. I would stay again.Genuine Expedia guest review
Ponte Sisto met all of our expectations. The location is unbeatable if you plan to focus on old Rome. We just had to cross the bridge to Trastevere which was were we wanted to be. Campo de Fiori, Piazza Farnese, the Pantheon and even the Spanish Steps were all within walking distance. NIce breakfast. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the garden, […] which was very nice. The room was on the small side, but still comfortable for 2. The bathroom was nice and modern. The neighborhood was noisy, so a room away from the street is preferable. The location was outstanding - about a 15 minute walk to all the major sites: Roman Forum, Vatican City, Spanish Steps, etc. The room was very nice and clean. Good breakfast with a lot of variety. This hotel is in a great location, very close to Campo de Fiori, which has great restaurants! We were also able to walk to most major sites (we took cabs to the Colosseum and Vatican areas) from the hotel. There is a little market a few doors down that has water and snacks, and a great gelateria across from the hotel. The room was very comfortable, but […] the only probelm we encountered was that the shower leaked water all over the bathroom floor. "Solid hotel within walking distance to many sights"
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It's a short walk to many lively piazzas and if you like to walk it's a good home base to get everywhere. We walked to the Vatican, Colosseum, Pantheon and the other major attractions. They weren't short walks, but it's manageable. At night, we would stroll along the river and get dinner close to the hotel. The staff […] was helpful in recommending places to eat and the hotel was clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning is sufficient and eating in the hotel courtyard was a great way to start the day. This hotel was recommended to us by a local because of the area across the Ponte Sisto bridge, Trastevere, has a lot going on at night and it was a fun place to be. Also recommend going to Campo di Fiori and Piazza Navona for dinner and people watching. All are within a 10 min walk from the hotel. Definitely recommend this location and hotel. "Great hotel for everyone"
The hotel almost seemed hidden in the small cobblestone street but as soon as you entered the lobby it was simply beautiful. Traveling with an infant can be challenging however upon arrival the warm welcome from the hotel staff made us immediately feel eager to start our vacation. Check-in was quick and the bellhop helped us to our room, taking a moment […] to give us a brief overview of the systems in the room. You have to insert your room key into a slot by the door to keep the lights and power on. The room was spacious and a lovely cot had been provided for my 10-month old son. Breakfast was a feast with a lot of variety and a good way to start the day. Having the breakfast in the beautiful outdoor courtyard was simply priceless. The staff warmly greeted the guests and made sure we were comfortable during breakfast. The front desk staff was very helpful with directions and also helped us confirm our pick up time with the shuttle company for the return trip to the airport. The hotel is well situated and for those who enjoy walks, it is about a 30-minute walk to the Vatican and a 15-minute walk to the Piazza Venetia. The hotel room had no coffee maker, ironing board or iron. Also we had to go up a flight of stairs to access the elevator hence the stroller had to be carried up or down this spot. However the staff helped us. Despite these shortcomings I will highly recmmend this hotel. We had a great experience and would certainly return. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
It was a great stay overall. The only complaint I have is that we couldn't bring our own food to the courtyard, which is a problem if you want to save money on some meals and buy food at the nearby grocery. "Excellent location, pleasant hotel"
First the good news: the location of the hotel is superb. The hotel itself very nice. Rooms are large enough for a couple, comfortable. The courtyard where breakfast is served - charming, as is the breakfast. The less good news: The staff at the reception desk (with two exceptions) is neither very friendly nor very efficient. We were in Rome during […] an extremely hot week; the air conditioning in our room went of and on at night in a strange pattern: we woke up on the average twice a night: once sweating, the second time freezing. "Ponte Sisto - great location; great room"
We stayed at Ponte Sisto for 3 nights during an Italy trip for our honeymoon. Our room was beautiful - king size bed, large tub/shower. There is an elevator - after a small set of stairs from the lobby but the porter will take your bags to your room. There is a lovely courtyard/patio with tables and chairs and umbrellas. The breakfast was beyond expectations. […] The orange juice was amazing. There was an assortment of breads, meat and cheeses, jams/jellies, scrambled eggs and bacon, cereal, fresh fruit, coffee/tea and an assortment of fresh juices. It really was quite a substantial spread. Cappuccino and expresso were available on request. The location was superb. Quick walk across the pedestrian bridge and you were in the heart of the Trastevere area with lots of character, restaurants and lively night spots. Walking the other way from the hotel you are in the Piazza Navona in 10 minutes. There's a small grocery store about a block away. Location is close to several bus routes also - including one that will drop you right at the entrance to the Vatican museums. Front desk staff was helpful and very nice. "Hotel Ponte Sisto--a lovely Roman Retreat"
We stayed at the Ponte Sisto from December 27, 2011 until January 2, 2012. This is a lovely and confortable hotel in a location great for Trastevere, Navona, and the whole Tridente. The rooms are larger than the average for Europe, and spotlessly kept. There is a beautiful central courtyard which is inviting even at this time of year (the weather was […] GREAT). Breakfast was plentiful and ranged from eggs and bacon to pastries to fresh fruit and yogurts, will a very cordial staff. We WILL stay here again on our next visit to Rome. Great location, just across the river from Trastevere and a short walk to Campo de Fiori. Only downside was the lack of wifi in the room, though they did have an internet connection if you have a laptop. I did have a problem w the wifi in the lobby, though not everyone in my group did. "Excellent location; street side is LOUD"
We spent 8 nights at the Hotel Ponte Sisto which is a delightful hotel. The staff is really amazing, kind, friendly. We felt like we came home whenever we returned. The building is beautiful and well maintained with a lovely courtyard, a well-stocked bar, and a delicious breakfast. The only blemish on our stay was the noise from the street everynight […] from about midnight until 2 am. Anyone going to the hotel, and I would highly recommend it, be sure to ask for a room that is not on the street side. Ours was a triple and there aren't very many of those, probably all of them are on the streetside because of the logistics of the building. The consolation prize was that we had a terrace. That was lovely. If the hotel can find a way to mute the street noise, this would be a perfect choice. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Ponte Sisto Hotel"
Stayed at the Hotel Ponte Sisto early Nov, 2011. Over all experience very positive. Good location, but still have to spend time walking or just traveling to major sites that included challenging narrow, cobblestone walkways which is typical of Rome. Although I was worried when I saw that hotel entrance was down a narrow alley with graffetti on walls […] we soon got over it and felt very safe in the neighborood. It's just Rome:) Most front desk staff were very helpful. Housekeeping woman we saw every day was the sweetest lady. She felt like your Mom! "Very nice hotel near Trastevere and major sites"
We were pleased with our stay at the Ponte Sisto. We wanted a hotel near Trastevere and some of the major sites (Campo di Fiori, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, etc.) and this was a good stepoff point. Very clean, well-maintained rooms and a friendly, helpful staff. Room was very nice and spacious and overlooked the beautiful, classic Roman […] courtyard. Hotel is less than five minutes across the bridge to Trastevere and Campo di Fiori on the same side of the river. However, if you're interested in the ruins, Via Veneto, Spanish steps, Vatican, you will probably need to take a cab. Hotel was nice for the price we paid, they failed to inform us of their parking limitations, had to park a block away at 40 Euros per night. The rooms with window to the side street are very noisy, if you want to rest insist on an inside room to the atrium. The management of this hotel should learn what Happy Hour is, 10 euros for a cheap glass of wine […] with some cheap cold cuts is excessively expensive.
