I stayed for three nights during the off-season (November). The weather was bad until the morning that I checked out, but once the skies cleared I realized that the view of Lake Pend Oreille from my hotel room was absolutely awesome. Nice room. The wall-mounted AC system is loud (in a good way) and can be used to drown out any unwanted hallway / parking […] lot / railroad noise. Nice workout room, and I would have used the pool / spa if only it were warmer outside (the interior halls are NOT heated). The local eateries that I visited were awful, but I understand that I was in town during the off-season and therefore a number of restaurants were closed or observing abbreviated hours. I did not eat at the restaurant on-site - no particular reason, but be advised that breakfast was not served until 8 am and this did not fit in with my business schedule. Read more

The BW Edgewater was dated, the rooms were average, views were lovely, but the train going by 50 yards away was annoying. The customer service was hit or miss, two people I talked to went above and beyond, but the other two were the opposite. The exercise room was a bad joke, the bike was an electronic model, but the cord with plug was gone and the […] stair climber had obviously never been serviced so the chain was so full of gunk it wouldn't move. The Edgewater is a laid back, resort hotel reminiscent of the old days of Campbell's in Lake Chelan. A ground floor room that opens onto sprawling lawn that dies into the lake shore. No need to get up at 6 am to stake claims on the beach. No need for your hair done and makeup to dine in the exceptional restaurant. Best part? Not crawling with people - even in the park. A block walk along the river leads to numerous dining venues. Very nice facility with great view of lake/marina. My son & I stayed and location to Sandpoint and other points of interests was easily accessible. Also very nice restaurant on site and very friendly staff. We were very happy with our stay at the Edgewater in Sandpoint for our anniversary skiing trip. It's location is perfect with a restaurant & bar onsite, a friendly staff and a nice quality room with comfy beds. And you can buy your lift tickets for Schweitzer for $10 off at the front desk. Sadly, I have given my recent stay at the Edgwater in Sandpoint, ID a poor rating. The Sunday deck person was unprepared for emergencies. The lock on my room jammed and I could not access my room. This is not a happy situation with a group of young girls whose mission is to get in the room change and go swim! There is no AC in the halls.. After some […] wait, the maintenance man arrived, rescued our things from the room (via ladder and balcony access).
