"Exceeded our expectations"
We booked this hotel because it was on State Street but not in the busy area. We were really happy with the service and loved the relaxing pool area. It was easy to catch a tram down to the beach ad restaurants. We would definitely come back again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location for the price"
It was a pleasant stay; the staff was friendly; the swimming pool is quite large.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great place to stay"
Rooms are recently remodeled and beautiful for a Santa Barbara stay. Location is right on State St and in walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Love this place and plan to stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good one night stay."
Very clean and new interior rooms. Beds a bit harder than we like. Nice bathroom. No bath mat, no extra security lock on door. Nice keurig coffee maker. Only had decaf in room. Free wifi with ok connection. Could not stream movie. AC is a window unit. Free breakfast was great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I booked this hotel based off of location and the pictures on the website. The hotel is even better in person. The staff is courteous and always there to help. The hotel is perfect walking/biking distance to the beach. I couldn't have been more happier with my choice. I will try to stay here each time I visit SB, if the price stays the same.Genuine Expedia guest review
This place is newly remodeled hotel so everything is new however it's a small hotel. If your looking for a clean room, this is it. If your looking for any extra like Bar or Restruant thus isn't itGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to downtown, a mile from the waterfront"
When we arrived the staff was friendly and welcoming. The hotel has been renovated nicely from whatever it was before. The room was stocked with the amenities and the bed was comfortable and clean. The carpet was clean & the area is quiet and safe. A market half a block from the hotel. An excellent hotel for the $$Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"In Town for Graduation"
Shared a room this weekend with family for UCSB graduation. Pool area is nice, light breakfast is included, and room was spacious. Our only draw back was the bathroom that was not completely private. It was a frosted glass sliding door, not a traditional door that shut completely or locked. None the less, it was a great place to stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
Very clean hotel. All personnel were very accommodating. Good location. Easy access to the tram which goes down State St to the ocean and back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great stay, only one small complaint..."
Overall this was a great stay. The city was awesome, and the hotel was clean, updated, and easy to access. I was worried about parking, but they had plenty behind the main check-in area. My only complaint was that they didn't have cereal on the second morning...nothing that would keep me from coming back though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall very pleasurable, the only issue was the fact that they tried to charge us regular room price instead of the rate from hotels.com. When we brought it to their attention they promptly corrected it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean & Pleasant"
The room was clean and comfortable. Beds were very comfy. Thank you for the free Wi-Fi - alwasy appreciated. Would definitely recommend.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Lovely and Convenient Place to Stay"
What drew us to La Quinta Santa Barbara was its affordable price and convenient location, and we were pleased to discover that everything else about the hotel was of a high standard. The staff were kind and generous in letting us have an early check-in, and afterwards gave us the privacy we desired for our week-long stay. The room was not beautiful, […] but it was well set out, clean and entirely satisfactory for the price. We hadn't paid much attention to the fact that the La Quinta Santa Barbara had a pool when we chose the hotel, but it turned out to be one of our favorite features as we visited during a heat wave. Overall, we had a very good experience here. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Nice hotel but can hear street noise"
We stayed hear for weekend getaway to Santa Barbara. Nice location on State Street. Its still a good walk from main strip of State Street with stores and restaurants. Hotel was nice and breakfast was good. Only complaint is we got room facing State Street so could hear cars driving by at night and in the morning. Recommend if you stay hear to request […] room not facing the street. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Good, close to everything (walking distance if you don't mind walking a bit). A couple improvements I would suggest would be to put a mirror outside of the bathroom for us ladies to get ready. Also, the AC is a bit loud. Overall great stay for the price and location.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Modern and impressive (2014)"
This hotel was great, the room was very up-to-date and it felt that the room was recently renovated.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Overall- happy with our stay!"
The rooms were a bit small but were clean, updated and nice. Hotel from the outside is deceiving but once you go in you'll be pleasantly surprised! It's a few blocks from the happening portion of state street it just far enough away to take you out of it all.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Such a peaceful and beautiful little hotel! Feels like home :)Genuine Expedia guest review
Enjoyed visit! The beds were plush (2 queens) Staff was really nice and knowledgeable about the area! Pool was great. We were there to enjoy State Street so the location was perfect! I would return!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Updating - Convinient Location"
We stayed here because it is a short walk to the main retail district. This older motel has been well updated. There is a nice pool area. New lobby. Rooms are well appointed. Free parking.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Better than expected."
We stayed in the rooms in back of the hotel. They were very nice and quiet. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. Great location too. Very close to all the action on State St.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Location, Great Hotel"
This hotel is a great place to stay in Santa Barbara and we couldn't have been happier with our stay. Even though the hotel is older, you would not even know from the condition of the inside. Everything has been redone in every room and they did an amazing job. The room is very modern and we had zero complaints. The location is really great too. Even […] though it is about a mile from the ocean, State Street is where you want to be, and there are dozens of restaurants and shopping in walking distance. Overall, this is a great hotel and well worth the price. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
-Free continental breakfast (mini waffles, cereal, juices, muffins, coffee, bagels,--no eggs or bacon though). Free wifi, pool right outside room. Parking is difficult and tight though. In room microwave and refrigerator. Beds are somewhat firm.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

very clean, recently remodeled, good breakfast, good coffeeGenuine Expedia guest review
the hotel was recently remodeled and it was close to everything. the staff was extremely helpful and not overpriced for SB.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not Worth The Price"
Price does not match what you get. Rooms are smaller and not nearly as well kept as to be expected. You can hear everything on the street through the window and doors even though they are closed. Maids try to enter rooms early and despite do not disturb signs and letting them know to come back later. They attempt to come into the room regardless of […] speaking clearly and loudly through the door that service is not needed right now. Breakfast is not nearly as fresh or available as advertised. "Close to places to dine, and not far from beach"
I was not sure about staying at this hotel as my husband and I have stayed at bnb's in Santa Barbara. They can be costly and so I opted for something less expensive and we loved this hotel! The staff greeted us warmly as soon as we arrived. We parked our car in the lot and never used it again until we were ready to drive home. We walked everywhere, […] even to the beach. It was a long walk to the beach but we just took our time window shopping until we got to the beach. The room was a perfect size and the renovations that were recently done shows. It has an updated feel and we loved the sliding glass door separating the bathroom from the bedroom. We also had free breakfast downstairs which was a nice option. Would we stay there again? Most definitely!! Look forward to our stay again and again! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Awesome location to the main shopping strip, a 15min walk to the beach / pier. Free parking, free breakfast, free wifi. Great staff. Highly recommendedGenuine Expedia guest review

Great stay, great pool and great staff. We have enjoyed our stay very much, the breakfast was very good, the best in America.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient location (to SB Mission & to State St)"
La Quinta was located somewhere in between SB Mission and the restaurants/shops on State Street. Walked to most places from Inn. Second floor room faced pool. Room was fine. However, there was a lot of noise from the fridge in room, and from all the squeaking floor boards from room upstairs. The place was okay for a short 2-night stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
Great staff, great service, great room. Very clean, excellant location. My only complaint is that they need a jacuzzi. Pool was warm, but could not replace a spa.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, good rooms and service"
Perfect location on the main downtown street (State), just 3-4 blocks from the main action. The rooms and the lounge seem to have been remodeled recently. Comfortable breakfast area. Courteous, professional service. The only drawback we encountered was that the walls between rooms seemed to be paper thin, since we could hear everything our neighbor […] did, and we didn't appreciate being woken up at 2:30am. Still, a good experience overall. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We needed a night to break up our drive from Carmel to San Diego. Found a room at La Quinta Inn. The room had just been remodeled. It was clean and spacious. The staff was very nice and helpful with giving us a room close to the grass area for our dog. We will definitely stay here again. There is a park near by to take your dog as well.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is cute and has a nice vibe to it. HOWEVER, we stayed in room 108 - next the utility room. Avoid this room - between the loud humming of the fridge in the room, which we hd to plug and the knocking sounds that went on throughout the night I'm surprised I got even just the few hours of sleep.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I was surprised by how much I liked the hotel. It's nicer than other La Quinta's I've stayed in. The internet is fast, the rooms are modern and comfortable. It's just north of the main downtown area, but within walking distance. If you're a light sleeper, ask for an interior room because the street noise, especially in the morning, can be quite loud. […] Other than that, I had a great stay here. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The rooms are now absolutely fantastic looking! Right on State Street where everybody wants to be, shopping and restaurants and bars galore. Really like this hotel!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Quaint boutique style hotel. Rooms have an upgraded feel to them. Perfect location to walk old town Santa Barbara. Pool was nice to lay by in the morning before check out.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very nice update"
This hotel must have be updated recently because it's in really nice shape. It exceeded my expectations for a La Quinta. Very cute and modern. The location is just a bit out of the way, but it's a quick walk downtown or to the park with your kids.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great little place with excellent service.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This La Quinta is fairly clean and conveniently located in Santa Barbara, especially at its price point. I stayed with LQ for the week while on a business trip, and overall had a positive experience. They seem to have recently renovated the hotel, so the facade and interior look more modern than other LQs. One of the biggest downsides was the incredibly […] noisy refrigerator in the room. It must be on its last leg because the motor was incredibly loud. I had to sleep with the TV on low to drown out the noisy refrigerator. Also, the room wasn't as clean as I hoped it would be––there were suspect brown splotches on the bathroom floor and the room's carpet could've used another vacuuming. "Not A Bad Option"
This is my second stay at LQ SB. It's a good choice because you can walk to the majority of State Street dining and shopping options from this location. Cons: heated pool, but no hot tub. If you are placed not in the main building but instead are in the separate strip of rooms (110 - 128), you are likely to hear street noise, including buses and other […] traffic. Breakfast is continental, which means LOTS of bagels, very sweetened yogurts, waffles, etc, but nothing with protein like eggs or sausage or even fruit salad. Rooms are clean (tho small), staff service has been consistently good. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Very clean, nicely appointed, pet friendly. We really enjoyed our stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Larger than expected room and bathroom and very clean. Bed extremely comfortable. Recent renovation was a definite plus. Very modern décor in common areas and in room. Breakfast was the usual LaQuinta breakfast and was very good. We would definitely return.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"one complaint with the front desk"
Checking in on Sunday 3/30, I was asked to give a credit card for "incidentals" if there were to be one, I proceeded to give my M/C. However, on Checking-out Monday, around 11 a.m. I asked to have a receipt of $.00 balance, as I did not use the credit card for ANYTHING! Whatever we used in the hotel was ALL paid in cash. Therefore, I believe I should've […] been given a final $.00 Balance receipt. I was adamantly denied one by the front desk man. I susequently asked to speak with the manager. He insisted I did not have any balance as ALL purchases show as paid in CASH, and "they" do not give receipts with no balance. However, since "they" swiped my credit card when I came in, I wanted to make sure, there were no charges on my card. The man told me, I had to go through Hotels . com.....So, here it is....Can you please respond? Thank you....Miriam Corrigan Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
