Cute little neat hotel just minutes from the beach! And a nice park across the street. Perfect location :)

"No luxury, but decently clean for a quick visit."
Easy to find & locate. Central to downtown & lots of parking. No frills or anything here.. nothing fancy for sure. Rates are a little on the high side but you are paying for location frankly. The staff were very nice & accommodating. The rooms whilst clean definitely smelt musky & of stale cigarette smoke. A quick splash of fresh paint & some fresh […] carpet to remove odours would go a long way & perhaps removing ashtrays from the rooms would enforce their non-smoking policy. For convenience, availability & if you know you are getting motel standards & not 3*** plus then this place is fine. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great Location"
Nice hotel. Walking distance from downtown, and the beach. Cute neighborhood. Pastries in the morning were great, but just be warned that that is all there is, so if you have a giant appetite, you'll have to grab breakfast elsewhere. We arrived early so our room wasn't ready, the nice staff told us we could leave our car parked in their lot and walk […] around downtown. That was very nice of them. "Close to family, restaurants"
I told the hotel staff the room needed a deep cleaning upon checking out. The carpeting was filthy, the room needed painting. The bathroom was immaculate, but they had this rubber bathtub mat that was disgusting. Who would use that?? The overhead light in the bathroom didn't work. The lamps had broken shades. The sheets were clean, but the blanket wasn't. […] There was mold growing on the window sill. When was the last time the AC filter was changed? Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A hop, skip and a jump to fabulous downtown"
I thought it was very quaint, i liked the room I was given with the view of State St and the mountain back drop, the motel staff was very nice and helpful, I was also without a car, but, didn't really need one, downtown shopping and restaurants was a short walk away, including the little diner downstairs and the gourmet market/deli across the street. […] I would recommend it to anyone of my friends and I will definetely book the same room again my next visit and I hope that's very soon. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not at the beach but pretty close"
Okay, but not worth the money I paidGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I had contacted the hotel and paid extra for a room with two beds, and close to an elevator since I have a handicap sticker. Luckily when I got there I asked to see the room. It had one bed, and was not close to the elevator. When I refused the room I was given a room with two beds and close to the elevator. When I was asked to sign for the room I noticed […] that the number of the second room they offered us was clearly stated on the paperwork. When I pointed this out, the girl just shruggedf and said she had made a mistake! The blanket on the bed I slept in had bits of debris stuck in it ... and was not clean. Needles to say I used only the sheets. Overall the hotel was very tired looking. They could certainly use some updating especially of the bed coverings. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very satisfied"
Within this class of hotels I would give it a 4, within the class of all hotels, I would say a 4. We were very satisfied.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good location, average hotel."
Great location, spartan amenities. The free breakfast consisted of pre-packaged muffins and coffee. Pool was heated and clean. Only one ice maker on the property.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location"
Overall, I was very happy with my stay. The location was perfect and right on State Street where a lot of great shopping and restaurants are. Plus, it was not too far away from the beach! There really was not much selection at the continental breakfast but what can you expect. I recommend going out in the morning for some breakfast on State Street, […] there are plenty of restaurants and cute cafes! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We had stayed at this hotel before it was the Days Inn and Suites(The Prado) for 18 years and had always been satisfied. The hotel and pool has now gone into disrepair due to new owners who cannot afford to operate the hotel in a clean, attractive and customer friendly atmosphere.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Ok for the night"
Hotel was far from center of town for the value. There are closer hotels near the beach within the same budget. Breakfast was just packaged pastries and coffee. No fruit or juice. Staff answered a few questions but seemed to be bothered. It wasn't even busy. No one smiled while talking to you.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not bad, but maybe a little pricey"
Great place to stay for what I needed. A bed and a shower. Pretty centrally located for everything I needed. I would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Satisfied and will return"
The room was well maintained, clean, and well appointed. The price was acceptable. The continental breakfast was the weak point with coffe, no juice, and only a modest selection of pastries. That being said, the price is good enough that a short walk to a good cafe will net a good breakfast and still beat the competition.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good location; bad hotel"
The hotel is very conveniently located to downtown State Street, and the highway. However, the walls are paper thin, the continental breakfast is barely edible, the front desk staff is not very helpful or responsive to complaints about noise. I will not be staying here again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"At least it is in Santa Barbara"
A somewhat worn motel. Staff was helpful. Parking was included in the cost. The "continental breakfast" was really just coffee and rolls but the rolls were really quite good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A dusty old motel pretending to be a Days Inn"
Days Inn has put its reasonably good name on an older motel, and other than new signs, it is mostly a dreary dusty old motel. The room was large and looked onto State Street, but the bedspeads were old and the blankets threadbare, and the furniture was equally ancient. The bed was old but not uncomfortable, and the pillows were ok. The shower had the […] first straight curtain rod that I've seen in years. The room numbering was hard to follow and the exterior walls were cracked and dusty/dirty. The location was praised, but it was 4-5 long blocks from the shops and restaraunts of State Street, thus not really a prime location. On the plus side there is an excellent local market across the street. Days Inn needs to put a lot of money in this hotel to warrant having their name attached to it, until then this will be a disappointing experience. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Forgot to clean."
When we arrived they seemed nice. But when we got to our room it had it been cleaned since the night before. Then we returned to the front desk and he said. Oh someone forgot. They asked us to return in half an hour. Then when we came back my husband went to shower and there was no hot water. We waited nearly 45 mins and the water was freezing. The […] vending machine did not work. I was not impressed with this place. The walls needed repairs and the rooms were dark. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Unimpressed"
Supposed to have wireless Internet but it didn't work. Went to the lobby to tell guy at the desk, he said he would have someone check it in the morning which was no help. He said I could just use the computer there in the lobby' which I had to It was soooo slow. Beds were mushy. Wouldn't stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Location is good; free continental breakfast is just coffee, tea and wrapped pastries, nothing exciting. Had to ask for towels again and again even though someone tried to note it on our room record. Price for Santa Barbara is good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Complete Misrepresentation * Can't be a Days Inn"
Days Inn you should review this property and jettison it ASAP. RATE it ZERO but not on the scale. As a commuting Airline pilot I stay in DAYs Inns' 50+ times per year. THIS PLACE IS WAY BELOW YOUR STANDARDS. I was guaranteed "balcony with pool view".. I got a one story motel built in the 50s with a view of a crappy alley. ! Managment said "too bad" […] . You should not patronize this place. The furntire was from a boy's room from 50 yrs ago. the beds worn out, bathroom had no window shades so you're up by 545am with the direct sunlight where you liked it or not. The entrance door had 3/4 inch spaces all around it letting unabated noise dust and light in. BREAKFAST INCLUDED>> funny, they had 6 individually wrapped sweet rolls and instant coffee packets.. That's breakfast ??!! NOW THE FINALE. Since it was an old MOTEL, the parking is literally 10 ft from your door. TWO one ton Diesels idled for 30 mins at our front door at 0445am and again at 0520am, !! This after the 0100am partyers' were slamming doors in the paper thin walled building for half an hour. ! Don't paint and clean the place, TEAR IT DOWN and quit misprepresenting yourselves as something you're not. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Location - comfy and plain"
This is a GREAT location for Santa Barbara if you are into shopping and dining on State Street. This hotel is not glamorous in any stretch of the imagination, but it is comfortable, clean, neat and tidy. Plus, they have some very large rooms with 2 king beds that are perfect for a family. I would recommend this hotel if you are coming to SB for a full […] schedule and you just need a comfy close place to sleep. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Very bad Uncomfortable stay"
1. The sink in the bath room was slow to drain and it smelled like sewer water. 2. The Bed! As soon as you sat down on the side of the bed the fitted sheet came off both sides of the bed. 3. The refrigerator made a loud popping noise when the motor turned on. 4. The bath towels are very old. 5. I will not be staying @ any Days Inn again in the future […] and will not recommend it to anybody! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"nice place for a 2 star, but...."
Hotel was ok, but just. There was a hole in the bedside lamp's shade. The furniture was old, scratched and stained. the bedding was old and tired. But, all in all, it was clean, conveniently located and was fairly quiet. The rate was low average for Santa Barbara, but high for much of the rest of the country.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Days Inn should be called the Pig Pen Inn. I'm a single man who lived in a fraternity house so not much bothers me.
