We spent one night here wrapping up our eight-day trip to London. The staff was nice and the room was comfortable. We got an upgrade when the lights would not come on in the room. Not sure what the malfunction was, but the manager immediately moved us to an executive room since the maintenance people were busy at the time. Warning...do not stay at any […] of the airport hotels if you plan on going into central London often. It takes forever using the Underground and the Hoppa bus is not convenient for frequent trips to the airport to catch the subway. There is the Heathrow Express train that gets you to Paddington Station in Central London in about 15 minutes, but it is expensive and definitely not worth the cost if you use it many times. However, if you are only staying near the airport and not venturing into London too many times then this is a wonderful hotel. Read more

This hotel is an old Holiday Inn. The rooms are clean, and the front desk and restaurant are well run and helpful. One major compaint: The small full-size bed had an actual trough on the side next to the phone. Bedding was clean and nice, but they really need new mattresses since most people go there to sleep before a morning flight.

I would never stay there again. The hotel is accross the street from the airport but you have to pay 4 pounds to take a shuttle. They charge 10 pounds for internet service and it is extremely slow.

This was a good Hotel located across from Heathrow Airport and easily assessable by the Airport Hopper busses. It was also very cost effective as most decent Hotels in the London area can be very costly. It does have a nice restaurant and if you arrive late the Bar will serve food so you will not starve to death. Also you can use major credit cards […] if you are short on English pounds Our room was really nice size with all the amenities one would expect and then some. I did not expect an ironing board and iron but it was there in the closet. I would definitely will use this Hotel again without reservation. Something I should mention and that is a lengthy layover at any airport. If you have never been to that city or country it can be a bonus mini vacation. When we returned from Rome, we had a very lengthy layover in London. We choose this Hotel because of its location and transportation availabilities. A quick trip on the airport hopper takes you to the hotel and back to the airport every 20 minutes or so. At Terminal 3 one can catch the Underground Piccadilly line (train system) and you are off to London. The layover allowed us to use the time we had to see a little of London. We were able to go to some of the major spots (Big Ben, Parliament, Westminster Abby, Buckingham Palace and the big ‘Eye” in the sky which as wonderful.) Don't be fooled by the HI label or the price. Everything is an extra charge - airport shuttle, parking, breakfast, etc. Some comforts (ex hair dryer, ice machine) not provided. Front desk gave me wrong times for shuttle and I missed it. Next one was 30 minutes later so I had to take a taxi - for $30 - to my terminal. This is an older HI, showing its age. The staff provided top notch service. The business internet was not speedy, but it worked. Very close to the major rental car returns such that you can return the car, walk to the hotel, and depart on that early AM flight. Would stay again.

This hotel needs a taxi ride that cost approximately £10 to terminal 3 or you can take the hoppa bus H4 to terminal 3. This hotel needs a major renovation in order to qualify itself as four star. I would rate this a 2.5 star hotel.. Slightly better than dorm rooms at university.

Nothing special about this hotel, but it is totally adequate as a place to lay over between flights to/from Heathrow. It's as convenient to the airport as any other local hotel and easy to reach via Hoppa Bus H4. The in-house restaurant is fine with a good menu and rairly reasonable prices. I would stay again.

Because of the way the iron and ironing board were hung in the closet, it was impossible to hang anything in the closet. For a Holiday Inn, this was one of the better ones. The room was immaculately clean, and the bed was firm, so I slept quite well. Two maintenance issues occured. The air vent in the ceiling directly inside the door to the room dripped a bit, although I didn't notice it until a drop landed on my head as I was getting ready to check out. Also, the basement […] parking garage had a couple of issues: The parking spaces were cramped - made even more so by the large concrete support columns. It wasn't obvious that the parking fee was to be paid at the reception desk. I tried to use the ticket payment machine in the basement, but it refused to take my ticket. There was no notice that the machine was not working, nor that payment should be made upstairs. If you have a morning flight it's a great place to stay. Easy to get to the terminals with the hotel hoppa buses. The rooms are large and clean and the shower has plenty of hot water. Our biggest objection was finding the hotel. Thank GOODNESS we had a satnav in our car... or we might never have found it... It's in a very unlikely spot and it doesn't even look like the front of a hotel when you pull up to it... In fact, we had friends visit us at the hotel who live locally and it took them 45 mins to find us (and he had been a TAXI […] driver in the area in the past...!). This is the second time we've stayed at the Holiday Inn Heathrow for an overnight before catching a flight back to the U.S., and we were very pleased both times. It's very close to the airport - just a few minutes ride on the H4 Hoppa bus from the airport. The hotel is modern, clean, and well appointed. The staff is welcoming and helpful. After an hour we arrived at what we thought was our hotel but to be told we were at he wrong location. There are two hotels fairly close to each other but attempt to get to it uhgg! Excleent place to stay if you need to be near Heathrow Airport. Free bus to and from the airport can be picked up at the corner of the hotel.Very clean and very quiet, even with the runway right across the street.
