The motel had the bare basics, and I mean bare. The breakfast shouldn't even be listed as an amenity. No iron in the room, staff was knocking on the door before 9:00 am yelling "housekeeping" and would not leave until I got up and told her to go away because we were still asleep. We preferred a hotel in which you do not have to enter through a lobby. The hotel is nice and quiet and the front desk staff is very pleasant. We booked our reservations at the last minute and the Day’s Inn had vacancies.

There was some black stuff on my sheets that I at first thought were insect parts, but they were something else, not sure what, appeared to be harmless but gave me a bedbug scare when I first saw them. The hotel vending machines were very depleted and I was unble to get a nondiet cola beverage which disappointed me very much. I stayed here for four nights while I was in town for a funeral. Every night there was a broken bottle scattered on the back stairs and shards of broken glass all over. I even had one stuck in my shoe that I tracked inside my room. It was obvious that no one that works there ever uses these stairs or possibly just didn't care about picking them up. […] The heater in my room had a broken knob so every time I wanted to adjust one of the settings I had to take the knob off and put it in the other spot to adjust. Cracks in the ceiling and walls and the bathroom caulking was nasty. The shower curtian was not even long enough to go past the bathtop rim so water went all over the floor when you showered. I will not book anymore stay at Days Inn .Police had knock on every room door at 4:20 am saying am I selling drugs out of here .They (Police)were knocking on everydoor saying the same thing.I had call the front desk and ask them for a set of towels it took them and hour to bring me a set of towels . I'm very upset now .

Our stay at the Days Inn was terrible. The bed had no support, the carpet had stains and burns, and lamps were not working. Although, the service desk clerk was wonderful, our stay was awful.

Ok for a night or two. About the cheapest room in the area, and you get what you pay for. As most of the reviews said carpet and furniture not in the best of condition, but room was clean and quiet.

We requested a non-smoking room. When we drove around to the room, we had to prop the door open (IN CHICAGO IN DECEMBER-30 degree weather!!!) to let the thick smoke die down. Then the floors were FILTHY. We could not walk on the floor without shoes at all...it looked like a construction site.

I would stay there again. They took very good care of the hotel and my stay was very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It was clean and because I had to work on Friday from my hotel room and had to have good Wi-Fi, they put me on the first floor where the Wi-Fi is apparently the strongest. very good experience.

Seriously, the door connecting our room to the room next door was kicked in. The deadbolt was kicked off and it was on the table right inside the door. We called the front desk and they agreed not to book the room, but it still was unpleasing to say the least.

I ended up here because I was stuck in Chicago due to Hurricane Sandy for 3 days but I made the most of it and fell in love with the city of Chicago. As far as the hotel the employees were nice people but the location was sketchy with the addition that public transportation is limited until 7pm which sucks. The staff was friendly, which is probably the only positive thing I can say. We stayed at this hotel after attending a wedding reception in the area. Upon entering the room, it smelled like cigarettes (in a non-smoking room). There were many unusual large dark stains on the carpet. There were holes in the walls. There was no telephone, where the telephone […] jack should have been, there was a big hole. The bathroom smelled like urine. The toilet seat had paint that was peeling off. The bed linens were old looking and the blanket was itchy/scratchy feeling. The ice machine was broken. I booked for 3 nights but ended up checking out after 1 night. I was origionally informed the hotel was approximately 25 min away from downtown, when actually it was 1 hour and 25 minutes. First room was supposed to be non=smoking but it reeked of cigarette smoke. The desk clerk changed the room but did so like it was an inconvenience. The mattress sagged in the middle of the bed. The commode was old and in bad repair. Overall, not a recommend but not a disaster if you are just passing through and staying for one night.

The only reason I give this hotel a 3 is because of the willingness of the staff to work with me. The first room we were given reeked of a musty smell that hit me as soon as I opened the door. The sheets were stained and the carpet was atrocious. To their credit I went to the desk and was given another room with no questions asked.
