Great historic hotel! They still turn down your covers and leave a chocolate on your pillow. The staff is super friendly. Within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants in Manitou Springs.

This hotel is well appointed and the service is top notch. I have stayed here many times when visiting Manitou Springs as the location is ideal and the staff is fantastic. The rooms are quaint and historic but clean with modern touches. I will stay here again in the future!

We loved the room and visiting the town. It is very beautiful and teeming with history. After reading the reviews for the restaurant we were definitely looking forward to having breakfast there. Overall the hotel is great, very eye appealing and private. I slept well, my husband didn't-thought bed was uncomfortable. Food in dining room was great but expensive. The lack of street parking, one way streets and construction in area made it a little difficult to get around.

Cliff House was reBuilt in 1998, and was a new facility in an old package. Few expenses were spared during this rehab, and to overall ambience of the hotel shows it...details and amenities abound, and the staff goes above and beyond to please. There were a few misses, though. The in-room ventilation systems are heat pumps, and they're a bit noisy...the […] biggest problem seems to be that they're dated, and need to be redesigned so that when you ask for heat, there is heat. Other issue is that the Hotel leads with ads for Chef Savage. A Chef-driven marketing program is great, but he seems to focus upon dinner in the main dining room, and little attention has been given to breakfast (a daily buffet for guests) or the menu at the Bar & Grill - both somewhat disappointing. If a profession Chef is on-premise, ALL dayparts need his/her attention. All that said, I'll surely return again (stay in the suites...the Studio rooms are a bit small) and look forward to enjoying breakfast at Adams Mountain Cafe...a three minute walk from the hotel. A beautiful, graceful old stone and wood hotel just one quiet block from touristy downtown Manitou Springs. My Granddaughter and I really enjoyed the hotel and the wonderful food. Both our dinner and the breakfast that came with the room was 4.5 to 5 star. Shops and main street just across the street. Valet park your car and walk to enjoy the downtown.

Loved the Hotel and staff. The resturant was amazing. This is a great place for a romantic getway. They have theme suite that are fun and romantic. Ask for theme rooms upon booking your stay you wouldn't be sorry.

The Cliff House was extremely nice. The attention to service was top notch with all of the staff. It's located within easy walking distance to Manitou Springs. They offer valet parking - use it. Street parking overnight will get you a ticket.

When I booked the room for my anniversary, the description on Expedia said it had a "View of the Mountains". When we checked in, the room had a view of a fire escape ladder on a wall 5 feet directly across from the window. You could then look left at the huge AC unit for the building.
