Excellent hotel, full of character and charm. Quiet, centrally located. Very good complimentary breakfast; great restaurant for a nice dinner. Make sure to do both self-guided walking tours of Ashland.

The Ashland Springs Hotel is a comfortable hotel with an excellent location. When we attend the Shakespeare Festival it is so nice to be able to park the car (for free!) and be able to walk to the theater. Great historic hotel with excellent service and a cozy, intimate dining room. Fresh healthy breakfast included. The demographic is older, and rooms are petite, but located in beautiful downtown Ashland where you can walk to everything. Park your car and explore, then return to a warm fire in the lobby and great local wines in the lounge.

We had a wonderful get-a-way to Ashland! We enjoyed the lovely shops and the Varsity Movie Theater all within waling distance of our room. The front desk staff was friendly and recommended several restaurants nearby. We walked over to Dragonfly and it was delicious! Only complaint is that our room was, 'prepaid' and I think that is why we got a substandard […] room on the third floor, same level as the parking lot, that had obscured windows for privacy. The hotel is conveniently located which also translates into very noisy. The building is old and you can hear everything. The room above us was so noisy in addition to the outside traffic that we got no sleep at all. To top it all off the next morning we ran out of hot water half way through the first shower. The continental breakfast was ok except […] for the older lady working there, she was filing her nails at the counter the whole time and it was disgusting! The hotel is nicely decorated but that is all the positive feedback I have for it. There were black scuff marks all over the walls in our room. I guess they don't know about Mr Clean Magic Erasers. Ashland Springs Hotel is right in the heart of town. From here you can walk to virtually everywhere in town. the hotel is well maintained, the staff are all extremely friendly and the room was very comfortable. I plan to book a vacation stay with my wife in the near future.

The hotel is historic, so don't expect a shiny clean newly renovated hotel. It's located right on Main St. (the main strip in Ashland), so it's really close to nice little quaint shops and restaurants. The price and location make it an ideal stay for a quick getaway. The staff there is super friendly and even upgraded our room for free.

This hotel has character. The rooms are small, but well-decorated and comfortable. There was some traffic noise, even on the 9th floor, but the corner view of Ashland was beautiful. Lovely hotel with lots of charm. The king-sized bed and bedding were divine. The room is a bit small, being an older hotel (with a king-sized bed), but we really liked it. The lobby is beautiful. Location is in the heart of downtown, so walk to many restaurants, bars, shops, spas.
