Loved it. It's Europe, the rooms are small and the beds are hard, no matter where you go. The room was really comfortable, had a great setup for travelers. Our room was cold, they brought a heater up 3 minutes later, and gave us great info on the surrounding area. I'll stay there again.

I could not understand this property by reading the reviews they were so mixed. Now I realize why. Like everyone says location you can't beat. We had two room, one suite and one basic hotel rooms. We put our 4 teenagers in the suite, which had 4 twin beds. We had a basic room with queen bed. Mattress was nice, bedding not high quality, hotel towels […] not nice at all. We had to ask for robes for room which again not very nice. This is a basic property. The ascot brand has three levels of hotel this is the lowest level. But would I stay here again with teenagers? it was an excellent stay. the rooms were big for European standards with a kitchenette and a big bathroom with a tub. the bed size was a bit on the small side for two big people and the mattress was a bit soft. but despite that we loved the hotel, cleanliness, staff, and location. 10-15 minute walk from nearest metro station, studio room was mid to small in size (compared to American standards), kitchen with all essential appliances, cookware, plates, etc., therefore no breakfast is included with reservation price. Right on the river, near all the attractions, bus tour stop only a block away, and we felt safe walking that area at night. Room was nice and having the little kitchen complete with the mini dishwasher was very deluxe. Will definitely stay there again.

The hotel was located on the Seine River; just 2 blocks from the St. Michel Metro stop (line 4). It is in a great location with the Louvre and Notre Dame just across the river. The neighborhood is fantastic with lots of restaurants and shops nearby the Metro stop and other areas close by. The hotel provides you with a quick map locating all of the necessities as well (grocery store, pharmacies, bakeries, etc.). If you arrive by train, the Gare du Nord and Gare de l’Est stations are on the same line (line 4) which makes it convenient. For the Metro, just pay by the trip, or get a 10 ticket book out the machine. It works like most other ticket machines, with an English button for translation. Do not get the visitor pass, it is way overpriced. Make sure you get a map of the Metro and learn how to use it; it will save you lots of walking and lots of money. Enjoy Paris…especially the Parisian culture and people…not just the tourist spots. Read more

Very good hotel except its a little tight with the murphy bed down. There is vitually no room left. The bed is not comfortable. Very hard and not enough insulation. This is a great little hotel just steps away from Notre Dame, Place St. Michel, and the Latin Quarter. The hotel is newly renovated, bright, clean, and modern. Perfect spot to share a week in Paris with our granddaughter. The proximity to the Seine, the Latin Quarter, the metro, the islands, etc, was perfect. The hotel is situated across the bridge from the Ile de la Cite where the Louvre and Notre Dame Cathedral are located. In the 2 room units, you have a bedroom, bathroom, a small living room and a kitchenette. The kitchen includes dishes/silverware, a sink, microwave, small refrigerator, 2 burner glasstop stove (no oven) and a small dishwasher. There was a hotpot to make boiling water. So, bring a couple of #4 coffee filters in your suitcase, buy or bring ground coffee, and you can pour water through the coffee filter cone provided in the kitchen to have coffee in the morning. It was nice to have the extra room and the convenience of a kitchenette. As for the city itself, there are so many sites that you would not be able to see everything you want in a week. Take time to enjoy the people, the food and the history that surround you at every turn. We had a great time in Paris. Go and enjoy - you'll be glad you did. Read more

I didn't say anything until the maid broke my glasses and just left them on the table with no explanation or anything. Wonderful! We stayed in a studio apartment and even the sleeper was very comfortable! We asked for a garden view, and it was completely quiet. Location was even better than we expected. Everything was convenient! Having an apartment was much nicer than having just a small hotel room.

This apart-hotel was wonderful! we booked the cheapest room-the 'studio'. this was unlike any 'studio' i have ever stayed in-it was more like a mini apartment. you enter into a short hallway with a closet door (hangers, iron & bd) to your left & bathroom door on your right. straight ahead is a door that leads into the main room-with 1 wall all of windows […] overlooking the center courtyard/garden. there is a huge sofa that pulls out into a bed with a large leather ottoman(coffee table). under the high/huge sofa, is a rollaway bed that slides out from underneath and you can leave it set up anywhere in the room-the main room is that big, that it is never in the way. both beds were surprisingly very comfortable. in fact, the sofa is so long & wide, that it is comfortable to sleep on it (blankets, sheets,pillows are provided). there was a tv w/ 2(?) english channels & a stereo cabinet, 3 chairs, a large desk/table with a small table underneath that can be pulled out and used elsewhere in the room. full length mirror on the wall next to a closet with shelves for storage & the safe. then off the main room, is a pocket door to the kitchen which contains a 2 burner cooktop, dishwasher w/ 6 deterg.tabs,microwave, toaster, fridge with freezer & ice cube tray, sink w/2 dishtowels& sponge. garbage can w/bags, dust pan&hand broom, utensils, spatula, corkscrew, plates, bowls, coffee mugs, glasses, skillet, pitcher, cutting board, collander, Lg.bowls, & electric hot water kettle (for instant coffee or tea--although usually not needed as this is already free in the lobby all day/nt.). the bathroom was large-had a tub/shower combo with the 1/2 glass enclosure, the sink had some countertop for your things with cabinet storage underneath & the hairdryer attached to the wall next to it. over by the toilet, there was a towel warmer on the wall, shelves for storage, garbage can, toilet bowl brush kit. just as the pictures showed, both bathroom & kitchen looked very new/modern with stainless Read more

We were really pleased with our choice of hotel, our room for 3 people consisted of a bedroom with a double bed and a very comfortable double sofa bed. However, please be aware that as you're in the centre you won't be able to breathe without things costing you an arm and a leg. Terrible Italian restaurant 100 yards from the hotel. Paris restaurants servced great food and wine, but boy do they know how to charge you (with 15% service included). Our 3 night stay gave us a few opportunities to interact with staff at the hotel. Check-in was quick, friendly and informative - wifi passwords ready on a sheet, key cards ready, a letter I had been forwarded was waiting for me without asking. Our suitcase needed to be opened as the lock had broken, and despite maintenance not being around late at night one of the members of staff helped us within minutes. Similarly our dealings with the concierge were very pleasant - we were waiting for at the reception desk and he came across asking each person if he could help to save us waiting. Great service, very clean and tidy, superb location with easy access to surrounding groovy bars, eating establishments and city sights and transport facilities. Only downside was the sofa bed in the room, not the greatest of comfort but no complaints from me. Would stay there again and would highly recommend it and Saint Germaine just a fab area!
