The staff must all belong to Boys and Girls Scouts.We were treated very well but could do without the interior rooms.Location out of sight!

Room was VERY small. We had a double room yet with our 2 bags there was no room to move around. The terrace was nice with the view. Breakfast is the basic of the basic- it would take some improvement. Mariam at the guest desk was cheerful and helpful.

Pros - great location and most of the staff is very nice and speaks English Cons - it's dirty, under construction, breakfast is bad, the room key is a real key with a heavy weight attached to it, room is TINY (6x10ft), and the towels are more like floor towels.

Loved the lobby, loved the roofdeck. The rooms were small and clean. Great deal if you want to stay in the Sultanahment. Managment is a little odd--they treated me very coldly as I had to make a small change. Night crew is very nice. Good hotel for the money!

Stayed the first week in October 2011. This is a decent 2 star hotel wIthin a block of the Blue Mosque and within walking distance of Hajia Sofia and Topkapi Palace! No need for an alarm clock. Rely on Blue Mosque muezzin's call to prayer at 6 AM. Convenient to Istanbul Metro. Rooms air-conditioned and clean. No cabinet or countertop in the small bathroom. […] 220V electricity only, but staff has one transformer that they'll share to recharge a camera battery or a shaver. Guests were from US, UK/Commonwealth, France, Germany, and other countries. Although there was a TV in the room (probably receiving signals through a satellite) all programs were in Turkish. With all the English speaking guests, one would have expected BBC World News or Skye News at least. Staff very friendly and helpful. Airport shuttle service available for a fraction of a taxi. Metro from airport to station (Sultan Ahmet) nearest Saba cost 2 Turkish lira but takes about an hour. Shuttle takes 40 min. depending on traffic conditions. Taxi costs more than shuttle and price fluctuates depending on driver. Read more

Location, price, and quality were terrific but the staff is amazing and made for cozy, comfortable stay. There wasn't anything they couldn't or would't help us with--they even returned the camera we left behind to us at the airport--now that is service. It's got a great view from the terrace too.

Saba Hotel is a perfectly decent tourist hotel, the greatest asset of which is its location, within spitting distance of the Blue Mosque. The hotel is plain and functional with wifi only in the lobby. Staff was always eager to help and seemed almost disappointed that we didn't need them much for recommendations. When we did ask though, they were well […] informed and professional. The breakfast room on the fifth and top floor was bright and offered great views. On check-in, ask for room 403 or 404 if available; we were told they could not be booked in advance. They are the only rooms with balconies and it was incredibly pleasant to come back after a day out and gaze at the sea or at the six minarets of the Blue Mosque that looked almost close enough to touch. A little lack of attention to details: I booked a car pick-up from the airport. The driver from the service they use was not waiting on arrival. I had to call twice before he came to meet me at arrivals and then I had to wait again while he collected other customers for another hotel. I was under the impression I'd booked a private transfer, not a shuttle. All in all, the process took over an hour. Finally, despite haing print outs of our e-mail correspondence on the desk, reception was unaware of details we had gone over before arrival (guest names, type of room, number of beds) but fortunately we were able to obtain what we had asked for when we checked in. No bells or whistles, but a reasonable choice nonetheless. Read more

Overall a reasonable hotel in a great location. The main drawback of the location is the call for prayer from the Blue Mosque that starts at 5:30 am. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It is conveniently located for the main tourist attractions. I don't think you can get a hotel closer to the Blue mosque than this one. The tram stop is not too far away and hence neither is the Grand Bazaar since it is across the other side of the tram stop. The rooms are clean but location is critical. You may […] end up with a room with the window facing the interior court hence the view can be abysmal. Ours was fine. The breakfast was good on the roof top terrace with the beautiful view of the Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia and the Sea. Breath taking views. For buffet breakfast there were two types of cereals, two types of fresh fruit, fresh yoghurt with four types of toppings, three types of meats, two types of bread, two types of cheese, egg omelette, one type of savoury, tea & coffee and various other items like olives, fresh salad etc. The only thing lacking was perhaps Danish pastries / biscuits and fruit juices. They had orange squash. For somebody who only has cereals and juice for breakfast, the breakfast was more than adequate. We asked for evening coffee and we were offered to be served on the roof top terrace. At 70p a cup and beautiful scenery, this was just too good. Extremely friendly and helpful staff especially Meryem and Ismail in the reception, Bayrom in the Dining room. We were six of us (two families) and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody. The Hotel had a very good location with friendly staff, of only one name I remember (Ismail). the breakfast was Ok, checking out time 12.00 is allright as well, very clean hotel, all was good, To get the best price for hotel to airport transfer I would recommend phoning the hotel and bargain the price down, rather than paying the asking.
