I liked the fact that it had a supplied kitchenette. I would have thought it would have more channels. It has Dish so when it stormed there were a few tv outages. The lights had difficulty turning on, you'd turn on the switch and it was like a short circuit. I had to hit it on the wall a few times to get it to come on. Upon check in they did not give me the code for the internet so I had to call to get it. You have to go down to change out your towels. I also didn't like the fact that housekeeping only comes once every 7 days. Overall, it was ok for the hotels.com price.

I thought the hotel staff was quite friendly. If you need a mini kitchen and an affordable room this hotel works. I was not too fond of the bed. If you sit on the end of it to put in tour shoue it would flip up, plus it was sqeeking quite a bit.

Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jun 3, 2009
Hotels.com listed that there would be a pet fee for staying with a dog, however did not specify the amount. Since this hotel was one of the cheaper in the area i decided to go with it anyway. The pet fee turned out to be almost half the room rate! for that amount I could have stayed in a much nicer hotel that allowed pets outright. On top of that the hotel clerk was rude, and the desk is not staffed after 11. Glad I got there at 10:55 or else I would not have been able to check in. Won't stay here again.

My experience was beyond what i expected. The front desk service was immaculate because Dan (front desk) took care of me and my boyfriend very well! We were there for two days but whatever we needed we were provided, the recommendations made for food and transportation proved excellent, and the room had everything needed for a short or long stay. The fridge and microwave came in very handy. The only thing was the bed was pretty firm, but I didnt have any trouble sleeping at all. I would definately stay there again for our next visit.

The hotel is in great condition, but I have two major compliants. The beds were as hard as cement and if you sat at the end of it, you better hope you can move fast because it will flip up. The second compliant, beware: They only have 19 inch televisions in the room and they're older models with bad reception. I think they even had cable. other than that, the room was great. It comes with an electric cook top, microwave and sick for dishes, which were also included. The bathroom was nice as well. Oh, another thing I disliked is that the maintenance crew used the same elevator as guests. Dirty towels, garbage and all.

The hotel was easy to find off of the interstate. It was clean and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable. The only negative was a crack in the floor of the bath tub, which the hotel managment were not aware of and assured us it would be repaired. I recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the Oak Park area who are looking for a good, clean, affordable and safe night of lodging.

I stayed at this hotel while I was going to Lollapalooza music fest (I couldn't find anything affordably priced nearer to Grant Park) and we really were only there to sleep but it was clean and in a decent neighborhood conveniently located right off the expressway. It's not ritzy by any means but it gets the job done if you do not need a lot of maintenance and service. Overall I was satisfied with my stay. Check in and check out were extremely quick and easy.

The lady that checked us in was not very friendly and did not tell us where to go or anything! She just threw the keys on the counter. We had to wander the lobby with our stuff until she finally blurted out "the elevator's over there." We had to figure out the way to our room ourselves. It also was not brought to our attention that the main front entrance closed at a certain time at night! My husband and I had went to a show and did not get back until 1:30a.m. and the front was locked and nobody was around!! We had to wander around the motel trying to find another way in! And the bed! Forget about it! The floor was more comfortable!! My husband actually got up and slept the rest of the night in the chair in the room!

The hotel service and cleanliness is very good. However, for any one considering this hotel, remember to take precise directions to the hotel as it is located in a remote suburb area. If taking a taxi, see that the taxi has 'flat' rates and a GPS, otherwise, the experience can be very bad. Otherwise the hotel itself is very satisfactory.
