"Good location, but very basic."
The service and facilities were very mediocre. Would not stay there again if there are other options.Genuine Expedia guest review
Service was horrible or nonexistent. Ok as an apartment but don't expect hotel type conveniences.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Metropolitan Flat Hotel"
O Hotel e bem localizado dentro da área hoteleira norte. Possui bom atendimento. Check in e check out foram tranqüilos e rápidos. Único ponto a desejar é o café da manha que é bem fraco. Nao possui variedades. O transporte do hotel aeroporto é bem fácil e barato devido a localização.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not a 4 star hotel, beds were like bouncy castles"
09/27/14 lanamoscovitchviana Sao Paulo, SP
I stayed here for 4 days and expected a lot more. The hotel looks great but firstly, none of the hotel staff speak a word of English. Not one word. Then when i went to my room (313A) it was so small i couldnt even walk and turn around. The bed was so soft every time i turned over i felt like i was a kid on a bouncy castle. The breakfast was basic at best. The pool was lovely and had a lovely view and the hotel is very nicely located next to a shopping centre. My recommendation is dont stay in a room with an A next to the number. On my second night after complaining we changed rooms to one that was 311 (no A) and this room was what i had expected. It was big and had a sofa bed which was hard although the main bed was super soft i could stay in the sofa bed and it was much better. The room was a decent size too. However, the wifi didnt work at all and to use the hotels computers you needed to pay R$15 per hour. Ridiculous. you dont even pay for computers in hostels. We stayed for four nights and every night was charged at a different price super strange. As someone who travels for a career I would never stay here again. When i go to a 4 star hotel i expect four star staff and amineities and this definately was not that. I was so furious i even asked for a discount to which i was told in a polite way to go **** myself as i wasnt the hotel policy
"Good for a weekend, short trip"

Stayed for 1 week; the staff is friendly and willing to help. The hotel is well located and there are always taxis parked at the door. Parking space is limited but I did not need at any time to give my car to the valet service, I always manage to park on the free park available at the front (limited spaces) or on the side. Breakfast is varied and fresh; however it ends too early at 10h or 10h30. It is walking distance to the Conjunto Nacional which is a large shopping center, however be aware as Brasilia is not made for pedestrians, if you ask the staff they will tell you the easiest way to get there: by the lower park under the viaduct. Also walkable to the Brasilia Shopping; once you pass the W3 avenue. It is also walking distance from the Tv Tower, Torre de TV, it is a free attraction and if the day is clear you can see amazing sun sets from there. I have stayed in a suit where there was a small kitchen however there is no kitchen ware that you can use, so what is the point to have a kitchen? I believe you need to ask the hotel staff to provide you with cooking ware. Good value for money, nice panoramic view from the swimming pool!
"Exactly a 3 star hotel and I wasn't lucky..."

Metropolitan Flat really is a nice hotel. I like it since my first stay, and no wonder I chose it to be the hotel of my wedding night, plus the place where I got my hair and make up done. I also booked over 10 rooms for family and friends who came from other countries and states. The rooms are nice and big, and the bathroom is impecable. So I really loved it! The breakfast is nice and the facilitiies are also great. The staff tend to be very friendly, but those who aren't, can turn out to be pretty rude. And that is really bad, because there is no consistency among the staff, and so you don't really know if you'll be well treated all the time. Feels like a jackpot: if you are lucky, you get a friendly staff, if not, you'll be treated like cr*p. My past experience has been good, but this time, on my wedding day, Metropolitan Flat did not do a good job. First of all, they did not clean my room during the day, so after the wedding party, I came back tired to a very messy room, on my first married night. Also, during the day, when I was doing hair and make up, I ordered a room service which did not comply with what I ordered, so I returned the plate, only to find that the hotel suspended my room service privileges! This made me really angry! How could the hotel suspend my room services simply because they sent me something I did not order??? How can the hotel force me to accept what I did not want and punish me for not accepting? So this was a major disappoinment. I still like the hotel and would probably recommend for a short stay, but I'll never recommend for large groups and for special stays like mine. They demonstrated no interest at all.
"More like a 4.5 than a 4 - Great location, huge room and super clean"
07/10/14 Jim F Mountain View, CA
Overall a really positive stay. We were there to watch a World Cup QF so the place was packed. Early check in cost a lot (50% the daily rate I believe), but it was worth it to have the space since we arrived early. Room is huge, with a separate bedroom/living room. Is set up with a kitchenette, including refrigerator and hot plate, but no utensils, pots, pans, plates or cups! A big head-scratch for sure. Sofa pulled out to a bed, so perfect for a family with one or two kids along. Breakfast was good not great. Wifi was better than most hotels, but still had some blind spots. I was just grateful for ANY good spots. Service is also good but not great. Limited English, but they did try to communicate and in the end of the day, we got what we needed. Walking distance to the big Brasilia Shopping mall that has a lot of good restaurants, including Coco Bambu.
"Excellent for business"

I usually stayed in this hotel on business trips, it's well located and has all the features for a great stay. recommend the gym and the breakfast. The rooms are quite comfortable and the meeting facilities great.
"Perfect for a weekend in Brasilia"
12/25/13 Tati_Luz Rio de Janeiro, RJ
I stayed one weekend in this hotel and I had a nice experience. The staff was really friendly and do everything for make our stay comfortable (I asked for a late check-out and they allowed me to leave the room at 14 instead of 12) My room was clean and comfortable and I have no problems with it. The breakfast was good, the jacuzzi and the swimmpool are nice too. Some points of interest like the cathedral and the Palace Itamaraty could be reach by walk from the hotel (it's not that closer, but if you like to walk). The Lake Paranoa is only 15 minutes by car.

I've been there when I went for a wedding. They made us a good price and the flats are very big and confortable. Everything is very clean and the location is quite good. The breakfast is great. I would say that parking can be a chalenge: you have to pay for the vallet and the few parking spaces in front of it are quickly taken.
"Good location, nice room, few minor problems"
09/09/13 parus r Andechs, Germany
I came online to write this review and the recent review by cqfp 123 that popped up on the right panel says almost exactly what I was going to write! The positive aspects of this hotel in my opinion outweigh the negative. The room was a small comfortable suite (although there was a mini kitchen and hotplates, there were not dishes or pans, so it woudn't have been possible to cook even if I'd wanted to. I didn't inquire whether these could be provided upon request?) THe shower (and bathroom in general) was large and good water pressure and clean. There is free WIFI with decent speed, the breakfast buffet was OK (But overcrowded when I was there so hard to actually find a place to sit down!) Tiny swimming pool on the roof seems more a novelty or place for the kids to splash than an actual functional pool THe location is good, very short walk to the main bus station, and the executive airport bus is even closer, basically just across the street. The desk staff does not speak English, especially evening staff, but when I really needed to communicate they pulled up google translate on their computer and we typed to each other our questions and answers and that worked great. They were very helpful and accommodating despite language issues. Another negative - the walls must be paper thin, because I could hear the neighbours having a conversation just in normal speaking voices... imagine if they'd been in a loud argument? and the toilets flushing above and below are loud enough to actually wake you up. So earplugs are highly advisable.
"Good choice; some noise"
07/28/13 cqfp123 Los Angeles, California
Pros: Excellent location within walking distance of the TV Tower and several other attractions. The Executive Bus to/from the airport stops less than one block away. Spacious room and bathroom. Good shower. Usual room amenities including safe, refrigerator. Swimming pool and gym on the top floor. Wifi included. Buffet breakfast ok. Cons: Front desk staff does not speak English. However, they are fairly accommodating (allowed early check-in several hours before check-in time). Even though it was a non-smoking floor, could smell smoke from room (apparently guests in non-smoking rooms smoke on the balcony anyway). Some noise from street and what sounded like an electric gate opening every hour on the floor above - definitely need ear plugs.
"Great business hotel"
12/02/12 GOC_RJ Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Very good location, within walking distance from Brasilia Shopping - but you can't really get it wrong in Brasilia if you stay in the 'Hotel Sector' (Setor Hoteleiro). Room was very spacious, featuring a balcony, a large living room and a very nice kitchen area. Shower was also very good, with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was just ok - nothing to rave about. Top floor features a swimming pool and a gim. The hotel rate was a bit on the expensive side, but most hotels in Brasilia are quite expensive. Would stay there again.
