We stay there around end of July 2011. The hotel has no elevator to our room on the second floor. We have to hull all our. Languages and many belongings up the narrow curvy stair. I understand that other section of the hotel has elevator. We must be staying in the old section. Soon as we walk toward the stair there a strong smell of chorline. We found […] out that the pool is right door. The room ( we got room with 2 full beds) is small. All furniture, everything is old and dated. The bed spreads are old and look dirty. The small beach in the back was nice. You can go kayaking or paddle boat. I sorry to say that I Probably won't stay here again. I guess small hotels are pretty much like this. Read more

The hotel itself is very impressive and hotel service is friendly and very helpful, but the older rooms overtop the central part of the hotel are unusually small and some of them are right above the outside bar and restaurant area. If noise is a concern, these rooms may not be a good choice, although it was always quiet after 11:00 p.m. However, if […] you want to sleep past 7:30 or so, you should be prepared for the daily yelling and running of little feet from the newer sections of the hotel, down the hallway, past your door, and down the steps to the reception and dining areas. The room I had was kept very clean, although one bathroom lightbulb was blown and I had to replace it with a bedroom lightbulb, the bathroom sink had a slight leak, and the toilet seat had to be tightened. There was hardly enough room in the bedroom for my luggage, but the bed was very comfortable. The neighborhood outside the resort is quite nice, with food, entertainment, and recreation all close by. The restaurants in town seem to be overpriced, but fastfood restaurants are a short ride away down the highway, as are the outlet malls. Overall, this is a good place to stay, but some of the rooms are a bit small and are in a noisier area. Read more

Hotel was nice but while in room in bed you can hear every person talking and walking through hallway like they were in the room with you, so sleeping in didn't happen. Otherwise it was a good hotel to stay at. Great neighborhood nearby and close drive to shopping.

First of all, the view from the room is being obscured by the tent, what a pity for a beautiful seeting. I wouldn't take that room if I have known. Quite in need of some TLC. Our room was clean, but extremely dated and worn. The beds were very uncomfortable and the pillows like rocks. The lobby and restaurant were quite nice. The grounds are also in need of tending, painting and so forth. It is set in such a gorgeous location, but definitely isn't maintained to it's potential. The front lobby staff […] was quite standoffish and not very helpful. When we found out we were in the "rustic" area, we asked if there was anything else available including a suite which we were willing to pay extra for. They told us that there were no suites available to upgrade to, but when our friends checked in for the same event, were given an upgrade to a suite by a different staff member. We booked the hotel in March for a skiing getaway for the family. Unfortunately, the unseasonably warm winter ruined our plans. The ski slopes and trails were not open when we arrived. We did hike on the cross-country trails and they were quite nice. The ski hill is right behind the hotel as well. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The setting is beautiful, as are the buildings. The part we were in is older, but well maintained. It would be useful, however, to post signs in the narrow corridor outside the rooms advising people to walk softly and talk quietly as any noise in the hallway can be heard in the room.

The hotel is situated in a good locatiom. The landscape is beutiful and breathtaking!! However, let's say that the staff of the hotel was not helpful. They need to improve the quality service to the clients. Also, the room was so small and not comfortable. I hope next visit will be better, sincerely speaking!

My boyfriend and I had a great week ent at Hotel Le Chantecler, we enjoyed the beach, cayak on the lake and the swimming pool. HOWEVER, theire was a wedding on the first night and it was impossible to sleep untill the music stop !! The second night was very quiet. The virtual video that is shown for the room when you book a a standard room is misleading . Upon checking in we were given a room in the older part of the hotel (which wasn't indicated at the time of the booking) and the room would be suitable for only one person but not two..Only one chair and one small table so when we wanted to have a coffee in […] the room or watch a little t.v. only one one could use the chair, the other had to sit on the side of the bed. The room was very noisy in that the hall was very narrow leading to the room and it was the main thru way to gain access to the outside..Our room over looked the main outdoor patio and of course as it would be, they had a bar there with very loud patrons and an amplified system. There is no elevator so an elderly couple would find it a difficult to always climb the starirs ..The parking lot is not close to the main entrance, its long walk back if you come in late at night as the lot is full. When booking do not take the older part of the hotel, if that is all they have, go somewhere else for the same price..Vey disappointed as we had heard of this hotel in the past but it feel a long way in our expectations, surprisingly as we are not really that picky of a consumer but we felt we had to write this review due to our dissappointment so that others can be made aware. Pool was under renovations but that was not indicated anywhere on their website/etc and was quite disappointing. 2. J'ai été déçue de voir la négligence de ce lieu de RÊVE.J'y revenais, pcq j'avais apprécié mon 1er séjour, il y a de ça quelsques années. C'est triste qu'un tel endroit perd ainsi de sa popularité ! Peu de pression d'eau à la douche de la chambre à coucher. SPA : eau tiède; très décevant.

C'est un hotel que je connais bien, et à l'exception des lits un peu mou et petit (lit double) je me sent bien pour aller y passer une nuit seule ou avec mon amoureux. Beau sentier en forêt pour se balader, bon resto tout près (Chez Milot).

l’hôtel a vraiment un grand besoin d’être rénovée, les chambres sont vieille , les enfants on toussé toute la nuit a cause du tapis pleins de poussière, l’extérieur est en décrépitude , les robinets de la salle de bain ne fonctionnait pas comme il faut , le bain a remous ne fonctionnait pas . Nous avons apprécié la piscine, la plage et la tranquillité de notre chambre.Le service à la réception était parfait. De plus, l'hôtel est proche de plusieurs restaurants. Par contre, le moins apprécié est le manque d'ascenceur pour se rendre à notre chambre, plusieurs escaliers à monter avec les valises pas évident. Egalement la chambre était propre, […] mais il y avait un restant de cigarillos sur le plancher de la salle de bain à notre arrivée et la chambre était non fumeur. L'air climatisé ne fonctionnait pas et il n'y avait pas de moustiquaires dans les fenêtres pour empêcher les moustiques d'entrer. donc pas trop confortable pour dormir surtout que nous avions connu une journée de 35 degré celsius. En conclusion pas trop satisfait de mon cours séjour au Chanteclerc

Les matelas des lits laissent à désirer. Le confort n'y est pas. Pour le prix, l'emplacement et la qualité du service des employés je recommande l'endroit. Mais ne vous attendez pas au grand confort. Nous sommes allé avec deux enfants de 4 et 6 ans surtout pour la piscine. En résumé cet hotel a de besoin d'une cure de rajeunissement majeur.
