Only problem we has was that the air conditioner was super loud and would startle you when it kicked on each time. Also we only had 2 pillows on the bed... And they were kind of sad. We asked for more and they told us they had no more.

I stay here often and choose this hotel for the overall value. The location is convenient to major highways, there are plenty of restaurants nearby, the price is reasonable, the rooms have a microwave and refrigerator, and I like the setup of the room. The condition of the hotel is not great, but the rooms are okay and comfortable. This is not a fancy […] place so if you're particular about your hotels, this is not probably for you. They had a high school drumline stay there who ran up and down the halls, slammed doors and were loud late into the night. Walls paper thin. Not enough covers. Hair dryer didn't work. Bathroom wasn't caulked. Bed super uncomfortable.

The hotel clerk tried to charge me twice for my room even though I had already paid for it when I booked the room to begin with. The hotel had a strange unclean smell to it in the hallways. As the saying goes, "You get what you pay for." We got a great deal by staying at the Microtel Inn in Dayton. However, we were very unimpressed with the hotel staff because of their lack of friendliness. Also, the lobby floor was dirty and never washed during our stay. The contintental breakfast was "meager" to say the least. There were only 3 coffee […] cups set out for guests, two kinds of cereal, 4 bagels, and 2 pieces of white toast. Because of the dirtiness of the dining area, no one ever ate at any of the tables during our stay at the motel. We would certainly never stay there again, even though the rates are low. Room was very nice. Only issue was thin walls. Neighbors were watching TV and even though it wasn't loud, it forced me to leave mine on low to drown out theirs. Not really in a "neighborhood", but incredibly convenient to all highways around town. Was perfect for the USAF marathon, made for an easy relaxed morning. Definitely a good value.

I understand that overuse of towels is not a good thing, but if the towels and wash cloths are removed then they should be replaced. Leave them there rather than leaving nothing after they have been used if they are not going to be replaced.

Front desk was very friendly... beyond that is was very budget. Paint peeling on walls, missing carpet in hallways/stairwells, Cigarette burns everywhere even though the room is non-smoking. It was clean enough for a quick stay if you're looking for a place to rest your head and take a shower for cheap.

Bathroom floor was filthy, long dark hair all over floor, room need vacuuming. Stairwells had carpet torn up, and a piece of carpet thrown down, not covering the landings. Breakfast was little to nothing. Didn't expect 4 star, but this was not good at all. only good thing was having DirectV.

I have stayed at Microtels in other US locations, and they have all been reasonably good, clean, and most had elevators. No elevator here. This particular hotel was filthy, the a/c in lobby was in total disrepair and duct taped. Chairs were old and looked dirty and extremely worn. Microtel is a no-frills chain that delivers good value for the money. They seem designed for the single or business traveller. This typical property is close to US 35, the USAF Museum and many fast food restaurants. It is nicer than some other budget motels in the Dayton area.
