I booked this hotel hours before I left the US for an extended business trip. I was looking for an affordable hotel near Hamelin, and the Hotel Blomberg is 15 miles from this town. Using a GPS, it was easy to find the hotel at the top of the hill in Blomberg. I was quite pleasantly surprised at the beautiful expterior. You must pass through a thick stone wall to enter the courtyard/parking for the hotel, because it is a 13th century castle! I did not eat at the restaurant because it also happend to be the night of their Apple and Potato festival in th emain marketplaz, so I ate at the food stands. I stayed in a single which was small, but clean and comfortable. The interior of the hotel is lovely and lit quite nicely with thick stone walls in the rooms, a separate smoking room and a grand room for sitting by the fireplace with lots of leather seating. The old well is still in the courtyard. Service was impecabble. I highly recommend staying if only for the hotel. The drive to Hamelin was short. I booked three different hotels through hotel.com during my stay, and this was the best by far, though none were dissapointing.

This was a return visit to this hotel for us, having stayed about 18months ago. They have actually done some owrk on the rooms, even they were comfortable... before. There is now a tea/coffee machine in the room. The town and its restaurants, cafes and backeries are within an easy 5-10 minute walk, and are good quality without high prices. Didn't have breakfast in hotel as seemed expensive and so many good cafes nearby. Staff helpful but in no way intrusive. A few little things that could make […] stay smoother if you knew beforehand - eg car park is underground entrance as go into street; wifi only seemed to work in reception; have to buy replacement coffee pods for tassimo machine from reception no kettle in room. This hotel was comfortable, conveniant and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We felt we actually welcomed here, not just greeted. The hotel itself is easy to find, the only slight difficultycomes if you have never been there before, as the parking is underground and so not easy to find. We paid to park on a side street until we got checked […] in. The hotel has no restaurant, but in about a 5 minutes you can walk into the middle of town and there are plently of places to choose from. We did not book the breakfast and choose to use the backery in town, again, I would strongly recommend this. The bar at the hotel is well stocked and the service is brilliant. If we had not already had plans it would have been nice to have stayed longer. Read more

Es war auch nachts sehr laut, da das Hotel nahe der Bahn liegt. Wegen eines Drehgriffs an der Badezimmertür hatte ich große Probleme den Raum mit gecremten Händen zu verlassen, mein Mann erlöste mich von außen. Ein Handtuchhalter im Badezimmer war defekt, so dass das Handtuch immer zu Boden fiel.

Goed gelegen, ideaal om te pendelen naar de Hannover Messe. WiFi is OK maar niet bruikbaar omdat hun internet router zo goed als niets doorlaat: downloaden krant in pdf van 50 minuten (USA Today) tot 12 uur (Le Monde). Drain in badkamer is niet goed geïsoleerd van sanitaire afvoer, hetgeen een raar geurtje geeft.

Leider war mein zweiter Aufenthalt in dem Hotel nicht so gut wie der erste. Ich hatte ein Zimmer direkt neben dem Fahrstuhl, der in der Nacht einige male benutzt wurde. Leider hatten die keine anderen Zimmer zur hinteren, ruhigen Seite frei (nur nach Vorne zum Zug). Zusätzlich hatte mein Nachbar Husten... Also hatte ich entsprechend wenig Schlaf.

Das Zimmer war ordentlich und sauber, allerdings konnte man viele alte Flecken deutlich auf dem Fußboden sehen. Da wäre mal eine neue Auslegeware fällig. Da das Mercure Hotel Bad Oeyenhausen direkt neben einer viel befahrenen Bahnlinie liegt, ist es im Hotelzimmer, vor allem nachts, recht laut. Schade eigentlich, da das Hotelpersonal sich sehr viel Mühe gibt, die Zimmer schön und groß sind, das Frühstücksbuffet ausgezeichnet ist. Sauberes Zimmer, nettes, zuvorkommendes Personal. Wir waren mit Baby unterwegs und als wir ankamen stand schon das Babybett im Zimmer. Wir wuerden wieder vorbei kommen, sollten wir noch einmal in Bad Oyenhausen sein.

Durch die Lage am Bahnhof zentral, jedoch auch laut bei vorbeifahrenden Zügen. TV noch nicht auf digital umgestellt, daher geringere Senderauswahl. Mit 15€ war mir das Frühstück zu teuer, jedoch gibt es in der Umgebung Cafés. Tassimo Kaffeeautomat auf dem Zimmer mit gratis Tee + Kaffee.

Negativ daran wiederum die Tatsache, dass der Kaffeetrinker nach 2 Tassen neue Pads an der Rezeption käuflich erwerben muss.
