"Excellent Hotel;"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
This is a real gem. Quiet neighborhood but within walking distance of many of the sites. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The furnishings in the lobby, restaurant and the rooms give the hotel a nice family feeling. Would stay there again. Can be a little hard to find.
"Excellent hotel for staying in Brugge"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Easy 5 minute walk to the center of town, the hotel was comfortably removed from the insanity of Brugge's tourist-impact zone. Great free breakfast, friendly reception, and comfortable bed. The hotel has its own bar (ring the bell to get the desk clerk to come up and mix you a drink) and a nice, tranquil outdoor patio with tables and chairs for kicking back during the good weather season. Only thing that could be improved is the bed pillows - they reminded me of a flat bag full of rocks. Thank you Hotel Ter Brughe, we will plan to stay with you again when we return to Brugge.
"Great location, convenient parking."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 2, 2012

"Martin's Brugge"
The only negative thing about this hotel is their outrageous pricing for WiFI access. Otherwise, the location, quality, and condition of the hotel are excellent.
We booked 3 nights at Martins and left after 1, we were quite dissappointed and found the beautiful 4.5 star hotel Casselbergh for less money when you included breakfast and WIFI. The staff at Martins were accomodating but the rooms were TINY and very cheaply furnished. We forfeited our remaining 2 nights and were very glad to rush away and live like […] royalty just around the corner. Read more
Great location, should have frre wi fi is my only conplain.
"Great cool look and location"
In Brugge! My god , you can't ask for a better location And the look of the hotel is amazing, staff very Helpfull, great over all
"Excellent location in Brugge"
My fiance and I were very happy with our stay at this hotel. Martin's Brugge is located in a particularly great spot, right behind the city's main square. But it's on a quieter street and we had no problem with street noise even though we were on street level. We stayed in the newer section of the hotel, so our room was very new looking and clean. The […] room itself was small (I believe we stayed in a cozy room), but it was no problem for the two of us. Read more
"Lovely"
This hotel is in a wonderful location to walk all around Brugge. It is in a historical area but is quite modern on the inside. It was much nicer than most of the hotel rooms I stayed at in Europe.
"Excellent location for the price..."
The hotel was clean with a friendly staff. Although our TV wasn't properly working, the staff did their best to fix it and brought chocolate when they were unable to. The location was perfect and the breakfast buffet was also pretty good - I would definitely revisit this hotel. It's not an upscale type hotel but definitely worth the stay.
"Martin's Brugge - Right in the city center"
The hotel's location is excelent: right in the Brugges main square, close to restaurants and shops. Walking distance to shopping streets, and all important museums. If location for you is a must, then this is a great option. Atmosphere is cosy, but we ran into a large group just before check-in, so 60 people standing in the lobby was not a great welcome. Room […] is acceptable, small as all european rooms, and with a (very) small cable LCD TV set. Bathroom was good and clean, along with bathtub (didn't use it, was stained) and shower. WiFi is not free, and the waiting area in the lobby is not covered. I would not say that it is a great deal considering the rates, but it is acceptable for the comfort offered, and the location. Free WiFi and breakfast would make it one of the best options in town, I guess. Read more
The Martin Brugge Hotel is centrally located. We got a special so the price was right because this is a very expensive area. So no complaints.
"Great!"
Great Hotel! Right near the main square, clean, spacious, nice staff. Highly recommended especially for the price.
"Great Location"
Martin's Brugge has a great location, a block off of Market Square behind the clock tower. Nice breakfast, 15 euro, clean room and typical of an European sized hotel room. I would go back.

"Convenient location, Comfy Bed, Clean room"
Stayed for a night. Can't get more closer to the mrkt/bruge. Room was small comapred to american std's but clean & sufficient for a night's stay. Front desk girls were friendly and called a cab for me in the morning without any issues. Checkout was painless. It would be nice if they rented out 110 to 220 V converter. When I inquired they said they sold […] it for 7 euro's! Forget that! Read more
"Central and great as a pied a terre"
Good value, centrally located, hotel. Rooms are tiny and somewhat depressing (dark, sludgy colours, utilitarian furnishings) so really only ok to crash in after busy touristing and a good night out. But it's clean and the reception area is surprisingly uplifting
"Centrally-located. Great staff. Small rooms."
Martin's Brugge is somewhat hard to locate. Recommend taking taxi to/from train station (8 euro). Otherwise walk directly to Belfry (not to be confused with other towers). Martin's is directly under the East side of the Belfry. Hotel close to many shops, sights, restaurants. Recommend view from the Belfry and a short canal boat tour for great pictures. Room […] 148 was smallest I had ever seen. Small even by European standards. Could almost reach out and touch both side walls at once. Excellent staff...very helpful. Read more

"Small room, great Location"
The room was very small and had no view, but the location was perfect for walking around the old part of town. I would return to this hotel and would recommend it to others.
Wonderful location. €13 cab ride from train station, and it was a great ride. The hotel is very nice with a great staff. Our room was cozy, very clean and very thoughtful. The building was right in the center of things, and we were able to walk everywhere. We would absolutely stay there again. Great location, great room and great price..
"I loved this hotel"
I could not have asked for a nicer hotel. The location was fantastic, a short walk to everywhere. A short public bus ride to and from the train station. The room was not available until the afternoon, but a locked bag room was provided. The staff was nice and privided info about a local bike rental (just across the street as a mater of fact). Only a […] block from the Markt located just behind the Belfort, which you can walk through to the Markt when gates are open. The room was very comfortable for one person. I was in the new part of the hotel the rooms were very nice. They are the standard Europe small, but i believe larger rooms are available. I was only one person, but two people would be comfortable enough in the room. Because the hotel was so close it was easy to stop by to drop off purchases and use the bathroom without hastle. I would recommend this hotel and would without question stay there again. I will also look at using other Martin's Hotel chain hotels in the future. Read more
"Second stay...will come back again too!"
Enough said, we love this place--very comfortable. Our room was quiet and clean, in the newest section of the hotel. We love the design and will come back again.
As good--and better--than we expected! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at this contemporary hotel in the perfect location. Our room was quiet, comfortable, and had a nice design. The staff was helpful and considerate. We have NO complaints about this hotel and will choose to stay there when we return.
"Good hotel with a fantastic location."
Martin's Bruges was just what I expected it to be. If one has ever stayed in a hotel in Europe then there are no surprises (small room, small restroom, no frills, typical of most 3 star Euro hotels). The hotel was clean and the room was kept clean and tidy by housekeeping everyday. My wife and I were very comfortable with our room. Our favorite part […] was the location! It is super easy to get to by bus from the station (just hop on one of the many busses that goes to "Centrum" and they'll drop you off on or right next to Market Square. Martin's Bruges is exactly on the other side of the bell tower. After a hectic week in Amsterdam, my wife and I were very happy to find Martin's so near a bus stop. It was also a great location to start each day. I already miss waking up and walking out to Market Square and catching the sun just creeping over the rooftops. The only "complaints" I have are minor issues. I made two local phone calls to confirm two tours I was taking. These two local phone calls cost me 4.50 Euros! I know most hotels are like this, but it still doesn't make it right. I also rented a car from Hertz, when I asked the front desk how I could best reach it they said they did not know where it was located, they tell all their guests to go through Avis. Ok, that's fine, but some help finding Hertz would have been helpful. "I don't know" should never be an answer for someone working in service (being a former service employee myself). It didn't help that Hertz is located very far from the town center, again, information that would have been helpful from the front desk. Still, minor issues. When I go back to Bruges (it is that amazing, I will go back) I will be staying at Martin's Bruges. For the money (and even a little more) I can't imagine a better place in Bruges! Read more

"great location and clean, comfortable hotel"
This is a clean, comfortable hotel located right behind the belfry -- you can actually walk out of the hotel, cross the street, through the belfry and be in Market Square. No complaints other than I thought the staff would have known exactly where a self-serve laundry and the near pharmacy were. The included breakfast had a good selection. It was […] easy to take the bus from the train station and be dropped off at Market Square (Centrum). It was only a one block walk. Great city to visit and a great place to stay. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. Read more
"Marting's Brugge - don't stay on the noisy street!"
Stayed for one night in a low-cost single. Room was tiny and bed not very new but acceptable. But the room was in a wing overlooking a heavily trafficked cobblestone street, and despite double-glazed windows the street noise made it impossible to sleep. Don't stay on this side of the hotel!
"Martin's Brugge, Brugges"
A modern, comfortable hotel set in a quiet street just off the main square. Close to restaurants, canals and sights.
"Martin's Brugge"
Martin's Brugge Hotel was great in every way. Very clean facility, friendly & helpful staff, great breakfast, 1/2 a block away from the Bruges square and belfry, and affordable rates. My girlfriend and I recently spent 2 weeks in the UK, Belgium, and Netherlands and stayed in at least 6 hotels. Martin's Brugge was one of our favorites, and we would […] recommend it to anyone traveling to Bruges. Read more
"Martin's Brugge - everything but the beds"
Well-located hotel, a bit big and institutional but well-designed and comfortable. The only negative was the ridiculously over-soft mattress.
"Wonderful Hotel"
The hotel location was wonderful. The staff was outstanding. They took great care of us when we had to re-arrange our travel plans due to a strike of the Belgium railroad. We were happy to spend another day in Brugge.
"Conveniently Located and Very Nice"
Very nice hotel in the city center. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Internet a bit pricey considering the price of the room.
"Martin's Brugge"
The hotel exceeded all of my expectations. Terrific location, wonderful room, very professional staff.
"Would stay there again"
Lovely hotel, very central, very friendly and helpful staff. All the amenities were a stone's throw away.
"Bruges delight"
This hotel is located right behind the belltower and about 100 feet from where you can catch the canal tour. Everyplace you could possibly want to go is within steps of the hotel. The safe didn't work, and we were there on a weekend when the mechanic was not on duty. That was the one and only negative. The staff was top notch, it was clean, comfortable, […] and just fantastic. "Perfect Hotel"
We were very impressed with Martin's Brugge. Perfect location, helpful staff, and very clean & nice room. Located right in the heart of town. We loved our stay! Perfect place to stay in Brugge!!!
"Great location!"
The room is just what you should expect from a European hotel in this class: very small, slightly in need of renovation. But the view from our window was charming, the staff incredibly friendly and generous, and the location can't be beat. And in one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, location matters. Take a bus from the train station to the center […] of town, and it's a five minute walk from there. A cab from the train station costs about 9 Euro. By the way, if you see a shop with the words "The best place to drink hot chocolate" on the awning, stop in for the most incredible marzipan you've ever tasted. Read more
"Very pleased with our choice would stay again"
Considering our decision was last minute and hence our choices limited, we really lucked out and got a great place. Centrally located, reasonably priced, and much nicer than we expected. One caveat, parking is a definite problem. Very limited parking on site, street parking almost impossible, you have to find a garage on the edge of town and pay. Still, […] would stay there again in a heartbeat. Read more
"Martin's Brugge"
Brugge is a truly beautiful city...and Martin's is right in the heart of it within walking distance to everything.......the hotel was very neat and clean......a great place to stay!
"Great Location, great service"
Very pleased, hotel had a/c which isn't always the case, the hotel is only one block from the central plaza. Be prepared for narrow, confusing streets to get here if driving, and parking in the hotel garage is a rather steep 29 euro.
"Excellent location couldn't have been better"
Excellent location, clean rooms. Quiet area. Right in the heart of Bruges and great for walking around and then taking a break back at the hotel.
"Nice central hotel"
Really good location - right behind the bell tower. Professional, helpful staff. Excellent and cosy rooms.
"Wonderful Hotel"
Great "town central" location. Very nice size clean, modern room. Helpful staff.
"Would love to stay here again"
We've just five nights in Martin's Brugge Hotel. It is a great hotel, right in the centre of Bruges. The hotel is modern and very clean. The staff were really helpful and polite. It was a great base for sightseeing and the underground car park was an added benefit. I would definitely stay here again.
"Great Location! Great Staff! Clean rooms! Excellent Choice!!"
I just completed a 3-country vacation and this hotel, by far, stands out in my mind for quality, comfort, cleanliness, locations, price, just everything! Brugge is a great place, but this hotel made our visit even more special!
"Brilliant hotel Great Location"
I Highly recommend this Hotel. Everything very close. Room was spotless. Staff vey friendly and helpfull. I had a cup of Coffee in the restaurant one morning and staff insisted that i didnt pay for it. I was able to access free wi-fi in my room for the first two days but login required on the last day. Unsure whether Wi-Fi free or not. Hotel very modern […] inside with great decor. Read more
"One night stay for two couples."
Excellent location with underground secure car parking, excellent buffett breakfast and the staff could not have been more helpful.
"Martin's Brugge"

"Martins hotel Bruges"
This is a great hotel for a short break in Bruges as it is bang in the centre so you don't have to walk far to see the major attractions. There is also a comfortable bar area which is a great place for a nightcap. I would recommend this hotel and would definately go back there.
"Martins Brugge - 2 night stay"
Hotel has an excellent location. We stayed Fri-Sat night. It was a short stay to see the sights in Bruges. The room was surprisingly small and plain for the price paid. No pictures of the actual room appear in the advertised pics. Double bed requested turned out to be 2 twin beds pushed together. It even came with 2 single duvets. Overall it is a nice […] hotel in a convenient location with small rooms. Read more
