"Nice but too quiet"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 2, 2013
We thought the hotel was beautiful. The bathroom in our room was exceptional and we had a 2 person jacuzzi. The surrounding area seemed deserted. We saw next to nobody during out entire stay. Beautiful in the winter, but a little lifeless. We took a carriage ride and that was quite nice, but a bit expensive. I think we paid about $20 more than downtown Chicago. Overall, very nice but probably a better summer location.
"Nice resort that has seen better days........."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Dec 26, 2012
It was very convinient, clean but outdated. There were 3 major resorts in the same area and this one needs some "uplifting" and some lighter colors all around. It was comfprtable and spacious and OK dor our needs, will probly come again..........
"Great hotel for the price."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Sep 26, 2012
Staff was exceptionally pleasant, hotel was very clean and the pool area was great for the grandkids. It was no Taj Mahal, but we didn't expect that! Would definately stay there again!! We had adjoining rooms and they had all of the neccesities needed!
"very convenient"
Had a work meeting in a small town close by. Location was excellent and availability was good. Friendly courteous staff that were willing to help. I forgot my toothpaste and they had a travel tube for me. It was great. Definitely will stay again!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Friendly & Clean"
Every thing was very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The price is a good value. It was easy to get to from the freeway. I was traving alone and felt very safe. I am in the hotel field my-self and was very pleased...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Outstanding place for the price!"
If you're going to arrive late and just need a place to sleep and shower, this is it! You can't beat the price for the quality of the room! Not the easiest place to get at. Can be seen easily, but finding the entrance can be a challenge.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"It was okay BUT"
We had a disabled room as my wife needs to use a 4 wheeled walker. The room was satisfactory for needing that extra room to navigate. The staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful. The town is easy to get around in and has a wonderful park not far away by the lake. I had very intermittent internet service... frustrating if you need that connection to […] family and friends or work. To verfiy the desk attendant used his pc and found the same results... I was told the manager would have somone out on Monday. (the day we left but not while we were there). It seems that spending a little extra to fix an issue and make for a happy guest is not on that owners agenda. (Yes, impressions only and I don't know the ability for that kind of service repair to be available on a weekend). I am just reading that the report will not include reports of violent or criminal activity. I find this very confining. If the hotel were in a bad area that had criminal activity I would want to know that. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Too bad about the vomit on the comforter"
This place looked just right for a place to rest on a rode trip when I drove up. It is conveniently located JUST off the interstate. The check in was fine. The room was basic but initially looked fine. The walls were a bit thin as I could hear the entire converstion until 2 am next door. They were talking in a regular voice so I did not feel I could […] reasonably complain. Thank god my husband threw ear plugs in my bag before I left-- the talking was a bit muffled with them in. The next morning, I discovered dried vomit on the back of a blanket. The front desk informed me that, indeed, they DO wash their blankets and told me another desk attendant would be more helpful at 8 am. I was supposed to leave at 8, but I waited. At about 8:15 am, 2 kind HOUSEKEEPERS checked out the dried vomit and decided immediately that they, too, thought the blanket was indeed "gross." There was a card left in the room that noted "Teresa" was the housekeeper for that room. I left a note on the bed and a message with the front desk to have the manager contact me. I then called and left 2 more messages for the manager with a return phone number. It seems like the manager is never "there." I thought if this was indeed a fluke, they would want to make it right. Too bad the staff are not better trained to deal with this kind of an issue. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"parking lot hard to find"
we arrived at night and the parking lot was hard to find, or rather hard to find a street to access the hotel. other than that, everything was great at the hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not bad but overpriced"
Nice staff, the rooms are clean but small.Genuine Expedia guest review
"pretty plain hotel"
small tv, did not have golf channel, pop machine only had one kind of pop left in it. staff member seemed pretty bored.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Small but clean"
Room was small, but had everything we needed. Facilities were clean. Small continental breakfast was supplied up to 10am. Room air conditioning was finnicky. It would turn off on its own.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Microtel in Fond du Lac - a great choice!"
Much better than some of the more expensive hotels in the area!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Microtel Hotel was like sleeping in a big closet"
TINY TINY TINY! Not worth the price! Bad cooling system that blows air directly onto your legs rather than into the room-no way to adjust the airflow. Small TV sits on top of the closet. Only 1 desk chair in the room. Needs a recliner. No special upgrade for travel agent.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Was perfect for sleep & shower"
Great for what we neededGenuine Expedia guest review
The room was clean and comfortable. Kind of small, but really only needed a place to sleep and shower anyway. Continental breakfast was adequate for taking to your room, but not really much option for seating. I'd stay again if in the area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Microtel"
If you are only look for a place to stay the microtel will fit the billGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Very similar to a Motel 6. Not much of a breakfast compared to other placesGenuine Hotels.com guest review
