everything worked and OK and quiet, small room. I arrived when check in staff was present . They were very friendly ,helpful and spoke perfect English. I did notice a sign that check in hours when live personnel would be present was somewhat restricted and dealing with some kind of automated check in outside of specified hours might be hard to figure out. But I did not have to do any of this for me all was well. Room and bathroom were smaller than average ,but everything worked including free wifi.

Good, basic hotel. Very comfortable beds, rooming bathrooms and excellent location in town. Hotel needs some updating but clean and very nice service. Only negative was that wireless did not work with my iPad or iPhone. System needs to be updated.

This is an excellent hotel on par with a Marriott in the U.S. The hotel was on the ocean with a great view. Breakfast had several options including some hot food. Staff spoke English and were very friendly The only reason for a 4 in comfort is because the beds were harder than I would have liked. The rooms were a good size with the shower and sink in one room and the toilet in another making it convenient for several people to get ready at once. It was in a quiet area but nightlife was a easy walk away. I would stay there again. If you are going for the surf the point break is only a few kilometers from the hotel up the beach but you have to walk around a bay which is 6 or 7 kilometers. Easy town to drive in

"nice hotel"
in a good location. recption staff very polite and helpfull. rooms where clean and comfortable. buffet breakfast is a bit limited for the price
"Very pleasant stay"
What made this stay especially good was how helpful the staff were. They all spoke terrific English, they were friendly and very helpful. The hotel is only a 7 minute walk from the centre of town.

The Escale Oceania Hotel is situated only a five minute walk from the beach, in a quiet area of Biarritz. The twin room, although small, had excellent air conditioning and also had a fantastic shower in the ensuite. Breakfasts in the hotel were of good quality and good value. "good location and value for money"
clean and comfy room, nothing fancy but everything was new. very nice staff, good location just 3 minutes walk from the beach. also has secure underground parking which is great if you have a convertible and you don't want to bother closing the top all the time. overall good to place to crash if you want to enjoy surfing and partying in biarritz

Easy to find and so convenient for walking. Close to everything. Very friendly and helpful staff. Ok, so maybe not the greatest room, it's small, but clean. We weren't there much, on the beach!

We enjoyed our stay in Biarritz with the hotel adding to the experience. A lovely town and we found the hotel location excellent for beach and town. Excellent boulangerie local together with 8-8 mini market for the odd snack. Thank you.
Bon hôtel, bien placé à 10 min max du centre ville, juste à côté de la plage. Attention il y a des travaux en ce moment en face de l'hôtel (05/2012) donc un peu bruyant parfois le matin si vous avez le sommeil léger. Sinon chambre propre et soignée.

Les prestations sont correctes (propreté, tranquillité). La situation de l'Hôtel permet d'accéder au bord de l'eau à pied (<10 minutes). L'accueil est sympathique. Rapport qualité/prix acceptable vu la situation près du centre de Biarritz.

Hotel del montón. Cerca del centro (no está en el centro). Están construyendo un edificio en frente y están empezando, así que se tiraran por lo menos un año más. Los obreros empiezan a las 7:30 a dar martillazos... Nos cobraron una tasa más de 1€ por persona/noche, no incluida en el precio que pagamos en la reserva.

Une nuit passé début septembre 2011. Hôtel très bien placé, proche de la grande plage. En revanche chambre ridiculement petite pour un trois étoiles, et odeur d'égout dans la chambre à l'arrivée... Personnel très sympathique et accueillant, bon petit déjeuner. Prix un peu cher pour la prestation de la chambre.

Hotellet är mycket centralt! Nära till Badplats, shoppingstråk och fina restauranger. Det är mycket prisvärt för att vara så Centralt. Rummen var bekväma, inget märkvärdigt men ändå fräscha! Personalen var otroligt trevliga och hjälpsamma!

Men vill du sova i en säng som är som en hängmatta, så har du kommit rätt! Skämt åsido. Redan vid ankomsten ser du var du hamnat. Ett flagnat yttre blir sällan bättre när du kommit in. Det enda positiva var badrummet som verkade vara nyrenoverat. Men - toastolen satt på sniskan så helt ok var det inte. Trevligt och bra hotell. Hjälpsamma och gulliga för information om orten. Jättenära stranden och centrum. Rekommenderas varmt.

Hotel trés bien situé, proche de la plage et du centre ville. Chambre propre et acceuil sympathique. Actuellement, juin 2011, des travaux sont en cours en face de l'hotel demander une chambre coté jardin.

Personnel agréable. Hôtel confortable et calme. Il manque une bouilloire dans la chambre pour se faire un café ou un thé. Le petit déjeuner est bon mais cher.
