Had a very enjoyable stay. We had a choice of soft or firm pillows which I really like. I used to carry my pillow with me, but I didn't need it for this hotel.

The staff was beyond friendly, not only at check-in, but throughout the entire stay! They always made sure to greet you when you came in and gave us several coupons at check in for area restaurants! The room was very nice, comfy bed...not one complaint! The FREE breakfast was nice as well! WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN!!

Good for business travelers. Nice happy hour from 5:30-7pm daily with snacks, wine, and beer. Good breakfast choices. Staff is exceptionally friendly and accomodating. Great condition for a Holiday Inn!

The staff was outstanding! When hotels.com botched my reservation by listing me as Melissa (no relation) and not John, the hotel staff went out of their way to make it right. Stayed here during our visit to Holiday World/Splashing Safari. The hotel/room was very clean and was a welcome retreat after a long day at the park. Everyone was super nice and check in/out was quick and easy. Hotel is in safe area of town and close to some good restaurants. Our stay was great! We spent 2 nights here and both were comfortable. The hotel was clean and looked like it was new. Our room faced the highway but unlike others we didn't even notice any noise. The room was huge and very accommodating to our families needs. The breakfast was really good! I couldn't believe all the options considering it was complimentary! […] The breakfast attendant, Mary Beth I think was her name, was delightful!! As I was feeding our baby she came over to ask what I wanted for breakfast. She insisted on waiting on me since I was busy with my daughter. Her helper, Joan I believe, was also extremely courteous and polite. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left we had a five star experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone considering. Next time we come from Chicago to visit our Evansville family we will definitely stay here again! Read more

The clerk at the front desk when we arrived was SUPER nice! Every area we visited in the hotel was very clean. The beds were extremely comfortable. The pool was a little small but was still large enough for our kids to have a great time in. The hotel was very nice. It's not super-luxury, but it's certainly at the high end of similarly priced hotels that we've stayed in. The employees were friendly and polite. FANTASTIC breakfast bar!

Considering I was in town for 1 night, this hotel was ok. The only thing was the customer service at check-in and check-out were horrible! I got in a little after 9pm and had to wait for over 15 minutes before the Manager wandered back up to the front desk. Upon check-out, same thing. I feel Holiday Inn Express check-in was a little redundant after we had made our reservations through Hotels.com by Holiday Inn asking us questions (address, contact info, etc.) that should have already been in their system. I am not sure where the fault for the break down in sharing the information lies, but I did not want to re-register when I pre-resistered. […] We did find accomodations exactly as promised, including the roll-a-way bed that we requested. The hotel is very nice and updated. The room are very comfortable especially the bed. The continental breakfast is awesome compared to many other hotels. The only downside I had was that the pool was extremely dirty and had dead bugs floating around in it. It seems like their filter was not working.

Beautiful hotel , renovated looks brand new. Staff very nice and helpful. I would recommend requesting the front of the hotel, you can hear interstate traffic on the back side. I will stay there again.

We arrived around midnight and our room was ready and waiting for us. There was a mistake with the billing but it was efficiently and kindly corrected. After spending a very hot and crowded day at Holiday World, it was a delight returning to the Holiday Inn Express. Plenty of towels for all of us and the laundry room to dry our swim wear and beach towels […] was right across the hall. I was sorry we missed "happy hour", but the two continental breakfasts we had were wonderful. Both the food and the service was appreciated. We highly recommend it. Read more

Haven't stayed in a Holiday Inn in quite a while. Hopefully the Evansville HI Express is an indication of a successful re-branding campaign. This hotel was clean, well maintained, had a friendly staff and a very good breakfast. For our purposes, the location was great. It was conveniently located by the expressway with a lot of great dining and shopping […] options.
