"Central location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
The Convent Hotel is located on one of the main streets in Amsterdam and within easy walking distance to the Centraal Train station and Dam Square-so public transportation is a snap. The hotel is well kept and the staff is very friently. The one complaint about the staff is that they do not seem very knowledgeable about typical tourist activities in Amsterdam and we didn't find a concierge staff member to help with some of our questions. Our booking through hotels.com did not include the breakfast, which looked wonderful and was expensive, so we found a lovely little care within a block or two from the hotel for our breakfasts. Lots of tours seem to use the hotel, so the staff is very comfortable speaking in English with everyone. The entrance to the hotel faces the very busy street, but the rooms are all in the back of the hotel and are very quiet. We enjoyed our stay. I would suggest trying to get the breakfast included in the hotel price.

"Easy walk to must see sights"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The hotel was clean, nice, the staff friendly and helpful, especially the Concierge. The location was great, within walking distance of many restaurants, and things to see in Amsterdam.

excellent location to the airport, service was excellent. Great to have a real "walk in" shower!

In winter, an ice skating rink is created in Dam Square, four blocks from the hotel. The classic Amsterdam image of stately canals, the Canal Loop is principally the Herengracht and Keizersgracht, lined with gracious tall 17th and 18th-century houses. Some of these are now museums, most notably the eccentric Kattenkabinet. The Amstel is a more down-to-earth waterway, lined with houseboats and famous for its classic much–photographed Magere Brug (Skinny Bridge). The floating Flower Market is also a much-loved canal feature.

Nice room, Good service. Horrible view. Mixed up charges. We splurged on a luxury double room (most expensive our two week vacation) and booked months ahead. Room was nice but we were placed on the first floor with our window looking into a back alley and ventilator shaft. Had someone else's ticket charges put on our bill. Had added "city tax" to pay […] on check out. Twenty-four hours after checkout we had an additional day mistakenly charged to our card that had to be straightened out from overseas. Is a nice hotel, but some added frustrations. Think you can likely get better value for your money somewhere else. Read more

"Stop searching because this is THE ONE"
....by far the best choice we made throughout our entire 2-week vacation. From the moment we stepped into the walkway leading to the entrance, we knew we stepped into luxury. The staff was extremely attentive and kind. The room was very cleaned and styled very well. This was an EXCELLENT find.
"The Dylan Hotel - Amsterdam"
This is well located and its restaurant makes anyone want to return again or at least pay a visit to the bar and restaurant. The hotel itself is rather dark and somewhat impractically modern mixed with outmoded TVs etc ...It has a variety of coloured rooms. It is best to specify if you want a bathroom with a bath as this is not automatically included […] which is a shame, The service is average-good but efficient. It could be improved by a little more attention to detail in what rooms are available and exactly what they are each offer. The prices are a little expensive and one would expect some kind of discount on a downgrade or offer of complimentary drinks or breakfast but this was not forthcoming, Having downgraded to a room with a bath on our final day we woke up early to find the room cold and no hot water was available so we had to check out without having bathed. This was despite the fact we were told it was being fixed for 2-3 hours etc. This was most disappointing. Whilst it is not the fault of the staff, some consideration should have been made again if they want guests to keep coming back. All this was mentioned to staff but nobody seemed to have the authority or wish to do anything but apologise. Please review your working policies DYLAN HOTEL as it could all be so much better!!! "エレガントな休日"
アムステルダム中心部の喧騒がうそのようなエレガントなホテルです。すべてが洗練されていておしゃれでした。 9ストラーチェスの中にあり、個性的なお店が近くにたくさんあって、ショッピングにも便利です。 アンネ・フランクの家へも歩いてすぐでした。

Fantastiskt hotel på bästa läge. Allt perfekt.
"Unique hotel with excellent location"
Located in the best part of Amsterdam. We had a suite for three days, and it was really worth the price!
Hotel was erg gehorig. Read more
"Fijn Hotel"
