"Nice room very friendly staff"
The room was nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The walls seem a bit thin so I could sometimes here neighboring rooms but it wasn't a problem, just a bit odd.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Newer hotel in Whistler area. Great location."
Great location and roomy rooms. Beds were comfortable, free WiFi and convenient to all. We enjoyed our time here. Cons - no breakfast, had to pay for parking (free if you use FourSquare) and computer use to print something.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"No complaints. Nice room and location."
We weren't there for skiing, so it is difficult to say if the location was good for quick access to the slopes, but it was close to the village area. Not sure why parking cost is so high though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great weekend get away"
I booked this hotel to celebrate my husband and his brother's 30th birthdays. We had a great time! The staff were friendly and the beds were really comfortable! We had great sleeps! It's a couple minute walk to the village so the location was awesome and it was reasonably priced.Genuine Expedia guest review
the Hotel is good with a good location. The only negative is the fact that the walls are not insulated, and you can hear people in the corridors, next room and upstairs. Don't forget your hear plugsGenuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect location, and best price. Very up to date"
Loved the free WiFi that automatically connected iDevices WITHOUT login/password! Concierge was fantastic, thorough, and even took the time to draw on a map and give us the layout of the village. Location was a very easy walk to/from the lift, and directly across the street from the two bars/clubs that stayed open the latest. Couldn't be happier with […] my decision to stay here. "Just what we needed"
The hotel was just what we needed - close to the village, comfortable, and clean. Everything seemed up to date and working well (fast & free wireless). Staff was friendly and helpful. Free ski storage downstairs. Walls seemed thin - but we had a room at the far end of the hall, so that helped. We had no noise issues. I would call this a no muss/no fuss […] hotel. Again, just what we needed! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great Hotel. Perfect."
The best and most friendly staff. I thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Perfect place.Genuine Expedia guest review
I just want to say Hartman at the front desk was outstanding. He goes above and beyond to help you and make sure you're taken care of. Aava was a surprise to me. My friend recommended it, I didn't expect much, but was very impressed over all. The only negative I could find was the pool area. Only one hot tub and at night the lighting is so bright, […] I'd swear its a cruelly brighter than daytime. Not the most relaxing thing after a long day if skiing. That was the only somewhat negative thing I could find. It's so minor it's hardly worth mentioning. Over all its a great hotel and will definatelly stay again. "Cool ski hotel"
My two boys and I loved this place. We liked the style of the place and the vibe. We had some special parking needs and the staff was great about it. An easy walk to the gondola is also great. We wii be back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great room, service and price. They got GoPro to borrow and no fee required. I'll stay here if I'm going to Whistler again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Hotel with Easy Village & Slope Access"
One of our new favorite hotels, and we've been to several in the lower and upper village. Only negatives: no fireplace and no stove in the room. Individual gear lockers in basement with free hot drink machine. GoPro demos available, but need to grab one early (starting at 7am). Heli skiing vendor adjacent to hotel. White Top restaurant on property. […] $19 underground garage parking. Be sure to ask which wing your room is in before going to park to be on the right end of the garage. "Great Weekend in Whistler"
The Aava Whistler Hotel is a great place to stay when you are in Whistler. Its just outside the Village (2 minute walk) so you can be in the crowd when you want to be and away from it when you don't.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great hotel. Free loaners of GoPro video cameras. Super nice people. Only complaint was thin walls. I could hear everything going on around us including crying children and noisy people.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Modern Whistler stay."
Modern, clean hotel. Great location. Would stay again when visiting Whistler.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Too many crazy kids while we were there"
Very small room for the price. Condos are the same cost and way larger. Big turnoff was the presence of high school and college kids everywhere, making unbearable noise all day and night. Staff could not keep up despite complaints to them and to the kids (I had to go out into the corridor at 2am and ask them to calm down). A hotel needs to decide who […] to appeal to, as families who just want a clean and quiet room aren't compatible with those coming in for riots. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Nice hotel step away from the slopes"
Excellent location, great staff, nicely maintained. The only problem is that the rooms are very noisy and the walls paper thin.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good hotel choice"
This was a good hotel for it's price. We were close enough to walk to the village (across the street) and the mountain as well. We didn't spend very much time in our room so it was not very important to us if things weren't perfect. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The only problem we had was that the walls are very thin and you can […] hear the people in the next room talking in regular voices. There are a lot of people who come in at 3 or 4 in the morning that make a lot of noise in the hallway that you can hear VERY well. One of the nights that we were there a group of people attempted opening our door at around 4:30 in the morning. They then made a lot of noise and (I assume) realized it wasn't their room. The staff was friendly and helpful. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great hotel for my snowboard trip"
I definitely would recommend this hotel. A free locker (downstairs) is provided for your ski and snowboard equipment. Kind staff. Clean room and bathroom. I am a budget traveler, so I am used to being disappointed, but I was certainly happy that the Aava Hotel was comfortable and affordable. The hotel is close walking distance to the gondolas, the food […] market, eating, and shopping. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Our New Favorite in Whistler"
We spent a night at Aava on Canadian Thanksgiving weekend and enjoyed our stay very much. Despite being very busy, the front desk staff members were all very friendly, accommodating and efficient at check in. We stayed at a hotel in the center of the Village on a prior stay and although convenient, it was quite noisy. We found Aava's location to be […] both convenient and a lot more relaxing. When we reached home, our youngest son realized that he did not have his ipod and guessed that he may have left it in the hotel. My thought was that he had lost it for good but the wife decided to call the hotel and ask if they could look for it. A short time later a very nice employee called to report that they did find the ipod and they then sent it to us in short order. We all enjoyed our experience at Aava and are very grateful to the wonderful staff. Next time we run up to Whistler, we will be sure to check availability at Aava first. "Great place to stay!"
Great location, not in the middle of the village, but only a two minute walk. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was clean, bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was good.Genuine Expedia guest review
walking distance to the center of all the activities in whistler village, wish we'd known the big bicycle races were the 2nd weekend in september (bikes everywhere)hotel really lacks ambience upon walking in, clean enough & fairly quietGenuine Hotels.com guest review
OK. Very convenient to the Conference Center. At the right price I would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beautiful and comfortable!"
The hotel room was clean and spacious. The staff was very courteous and accommodating for the Gran Fondo event. Right in the middle of Whistler Village and a short walk from other attractions. We never had to take a car to get around!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The hotel was clean and modern. All staff members were friendly and helpful! We highly recommend this hotel!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The front desk staff absolutely the best and we found great restaurants that only locals know about .Make sure you try 21 steps and try the many small tapas which are outstanding.Every place suggested we tried and were very pleased with their suggestion. For the price in the summer this would be my choice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel staff was very friendly and accomodating. Will stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location with great views"
Overall very satisfied - village somewhat hard to get around. Parking charges and signage in parking area quite unsatisfactory. Alternative parking did not seem to be an option and cost seemed high in comparison with room rate.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"overnight stay in Whistler"
The hotel is very nice and thankfully away from the main village which is more like a mall than a village. Beware the unexpected parking fee, $19/day with tax is actually $21. The room was average but good for the night, I wouldn't do an extended stay here.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fantastic views of Whistler Mountains"
Wonderful staff, beautiful room, close to everything, able to walk 5 minutes to downtown. The views were majestic.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not a bad place to stay"
The actual hotel room was ok, clean and the bed was good. The bathroom, though, was tiny with no counter space and there was no water pressure to the shower. Our toilet flushed intermittently, but when we told them about it, they fixed it right away. We did ask for a room away from the others because we heard that the walls were paper thin. They accomodated […] us by giving us an end room and that worked out very well. The pool was small, but the hot tub was great. We were a little annoyed when we found out that we had to pay to use their computer to print our boarding passes. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was in a great location, close to the restaurants and shops. We didn't realize it was Canada Day during our stay (as we were visting from out of country for a wedding) and we were able to see the firework show in the Whistler Village, right on the hotel property. The rooms were nice, a little on the smaller side for the bathrooms, but happy […] there was a gym, dry sauna, hot tub, and pool for amenities. We were put in a double queen suite, but I booked a king deluxe. However, I believe it was an error on the hotel staff part, either way, it was a problem we were able to get resolved. We booked with a hotels.com special offer, and will probably go again offered at that rate. Definately a go if you can get a greatb rate. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good - but not so quiet sleep due to thin walls"
Warning for families: this hotel has very thin walls so you will hear the folks next door. This will likely be an issue, as it was during our stay, when the neighbors are loud. Other than that, the hotel is overall pretty good.Genuine Expedia guest review
We could go everywhere by walk, right in the village, clean and modern. Space for bikes or skis. Short walk to the skiing area in winter and best location for summer. Close to the zip line, gondola, lakes, bike trails...We had a great view on the golf course and mountain. I wish they will not start to mow the grass every morning on golf course before […] 7. Room was comfy but for me beds were too soft with not the best pillows and wish there was a little layer on top of sheet as comforter was too hot but just the sheet a little cold. "A great place to stay.."
Stayed 2 nights recently after the May long weekend in US. Hotel is well appointed and maintained and in a great location. Front desk staff was friendly and patient in their interaction. Rooms were clean and modern, a bit small though even with 2 kids. It is 1 min walk to the whistler village, so great location. The lift, gondolas, restaurants and grocery […] are all within 5 minutes walk. Front lobby was bit dark for my taste. There is no free breakfast here. Onsite Parking fees are very steep @19CAD+Tax, a deal breaker in my eyes. I don't understand how the city of whistler or the hotel expects the guests to come and stay without a car? There is no overnight parking in the day lots, but there is a parking structure near the hotel in a building which allows overnight building for about 5$. However it didnt feel safe to park the vehicle there as it was openly accessible, unmanned and the lot was completely empty which tells something. With the youth/teens crowd I saw loitering around in the plazas and shops, I would not recommend parking in such places. Overall, a great place to stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Parking is additional $21"
Parking is an additional charge of around $21, which was not mentioned anywhere before booking. There are other hotels nearby with more spacious rooms and parking included.Genuine Expedia guest review
Response by Aava Whistler Hotel Thank you for your feedback through your online review- We make every effort to incorporate numerous guest suggestions into overall improvements in the property and in the overall hotel experience. Our $19 Parking fee (which is comparatively inexpensive in Whistler Village) is described in the Property Amenities section of the Expedia booking site, and through all confirmation correspondence, and other websites. I am sorry that you felt that you were not informed at the time of booking. In future, we also have a variety of different room choices for your selection, many which offer more spacious layouts, greater square footage, and unique in-room amenities. Thank you for staying with Aava, and I hope you enjoyed your Whistler visit overall.
Very loud hotel when we visited for 4 nights. Teens were running up and down the halls and outside. Buses coming in and out. People talking outside can be heard in the rooms in the front of the hotel- not very sound proof. The pool was disappointing for the size of the hotel. Watch out- they tried to charge me a $25 plus tax fee per night for my pet. […] It should be $25 plus tax for the stay- I'm glad i reviewed my bill- they did edit for me, they said it was something new they just started. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
