Each year for the past two years my husband and I have stayed at the best western in Havre, MT for what I call my valentine vacation. I go to help my... sister-in-law with her flower shop during Valentine's day. My husband has been fortunate enough to come with me. He has back problems and this last stay was very hard on him. The bed was too hard and uncomfortable. He was not able to get very much sleep due to his back hurting and also because of the nearby train station. We were on the second floor and he heard the trains all night long. We both like the room and the facilities available and the service but we are thinking of staying somewhere else for the next trip. Disappointed to be placed in annex without wireless, etc. Room was fine but it wasn't what I expected due to prior visits. Had to cross high-traffic street to get to good parking, continental breakfast, etc. Desk Manager did offer to see if he could move me but I declined after getting settled in.

The hotel was very nice but there is a train depot right behind it and they had trains running all night. If you stay there request a room opposite of the trains and you shouldn't be bothered.

Trains going through on one side of the hotel, and semi-trucks going through on the highway side of the hotel made it a bit noisy at night, but everything else seemed to be good. Breakfast was good-a good mixture of hot and cold items made it a good choice. Would stay here again.
