"Adequate for a 2-night stay"
The ABV Inn was adequate for a brief stay, close to our friends' home. The room was a bit cramped but comfortable. Breakfast included some fruit (apples, bananas). (Both the coffee and juice were a little weak.)

"Bang for Your Buck"
For the price, the room was adequate. It was clean, but a bit worn. Towels are microscopic and thin, but water was hot with a good flow. $10 upcharge for dog, which is more than reasonable. Neighborhood was just off highway with lots of stores, etc. There was a funky gyros restaurant in a gas station a bit down the street that served amazing, inexpensive food. Everything we got was homemade, including the lemonade, rice pudding and coleslaw with cranberries.

"Clean room, but sparse additional features"
An older property but the room was clean and well prepared. The key locks on the ends of the hotel are not in order, so anyone can come in, although each room has a key lock. The breakfast offering was sparse, with very little fresh fruit and mostly small pastries and packaged bagels. Juice was out each day and there was no sugar for the coffee. But a decent value for a place to rinse off and rest each day.

"It was cheap for a reason."
We checked in and was only given 1 room key. Went to the room and it was filthy! There were pop bottles and cans all over, the bed was all messed up, and there were clothes laying around. We went back to the desk and told the clerk, he acted like he didn't believe us, but gave us another room. The bed was uncomfortable, flat and too few pillows. The security door was broken.

"Wouldn't stay here again"
A co-worker and I spent one night here. My room was so tiny we couldn't even watch the TV in it without sitting on the bed. And it was -5 degrees outside but my room was frying hot (and I even had the AC on!). The breakfast was a joke unless you like cereal and bagels.

"Nice hotel"

"Affordable but..."
A very affordable room in an area off I-80. However, it is very shabby and in need of renovation. My room had a wall of mirrors behind the bed - this was very creepy and could easily be fixed. The floor I stayed on had an awful odor that was disturbing. In the future I will pay more and stay in a different hotel.

"Bad experience - had no record of my reservation"
I was very disappointed with everything about this hotel. When I arrived after a 9 hour drive, they had no record of my reservation. I had gotten a confirmation from Expedia but they had no record. They also made a negative comment about Expedia when I checked out. The bed had a noisy uncomfortable plastic cover under the sheets. The room needed total updating, and the toilet seat was loose. The breakfast was terrible - with only cereal, coffee, juice, and store bought muffins. The only hotel I have ever been in that had only powdered creamer! Worst coffee ever! Expedia should not use this hotel on their website.

"Dirty hotel"
The carpet and the air conditioning are ages old and dirty. Saw two ice machines and both are rusty. Room has bad smell and had to open the window. In the Hallway and elevator, heavy smoking smell but my nonsmoking room has no smoking smell. It said on front desk that it will charge $100 if found smoking in a non smoking room. Staff are nice. The building looks good from outside. Breakfast is comparable to others and is good though the room is very small and only has two tables.

"About what I expected for the price"
Just your basic hotel room, fine for a one night stay. I wish there had been a small refrigerator in the room for my road trip snacks - instead I had to fill my cooler with ice and house them in there overnight.

"Disgusted from MN"
The hotel wasn't the cleanest. I had a non-smoking room that was right next to the smoking rooms, which was very disgusting as the smell just lingered throughout the hotel and in my room. My room was also right next to the elevator and vending area so it was very noisy. The beds were very old and uncomfortable, pillows were paper thin. The continental breakfast was an absolute joke and gone before 7am even though it says it would be served between 6am-10am. The front desk personnel were less than friendly and had a "i don't care" attitude.I would not recommend this hotel for a lengthy stay. Very disappointed!!!!!

"Too much for what you get"
Hotel had a bed, so I was able to rest from a long car ride, but that was about it. Staff didn't seem to want to be there and heard random dogs barking in the hotel during the night. I feel I paid WAY too much for what I got, paid the same for two nights near downtown Cleveland that I paid for one night here.

"Reasonable price for a night's sleep while traveling."

We were stopping over for the night on our way to the East. The staff members were each helpful and personable. The room was clean, and modestly, but adequately furnished for a night's sleep. We had a non-smoking king size bed room. There was a small closet and a small desk, besides the night stands at each side of the bed. At first, I thought we didn't have a blanket, because it was sandwiched between two sheets. The woman that checked us in at the desk provided extra blankets for us. We had booked the room through Expedia, so it was prepaid. There was an issue that occured, where we were also mistakenly charged by the hotel as well, but the owner called me and worked it out with me in an expeditious manner. (Unlike our attempts to get Expedia to take care of that situation.) We had also called our charge card company about this, and they said it was Expedia's responsibility so they temporarily reversed that charge. Once I talked with the owner, she immediately credited our account, and sent us a photo in a text message of her reversal of the erroneous charge. We again contacted our credit card company, and they had already received the correction by the Inn, so we will be charged now only once for that night's stay. My suggestion to travelers would be, to see what the various rates are that you can get for this hotel, then call them directly, and work out a deal with them. They want to build their business, and are working to upgrade a motel that was/is not yet in peak shape. However, it was clean, and we were able to get a good night's sleep. It is also open to people traveling with pets. We saw two pets with their owners while we were there, but didn't hear any evidence of the pets until breakfast time. So, their policies seem to attract responsible pet owners. (Just saw them as the owner's were checking out with them.) It is close to the turnpike, so that was also convenient. The inn provides a continental breakfast, which helped us get back on the road more efficiently than we would have been able to do otherwise. I appreciate the owner's interest in our problem, and in making sure it was resolved quickly. I would stay here again, as it provides a good value for the price.

My husband and I live in Florida and travel to Ohio at least 2 to 3 times a year, I am a smoker and this is one of the few places left that offer a smoking room, the rooms are clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. We enjoy our stay each and every time, I only hope that one day they can put a pool in, inside pool would really be nice!! It's very affordable and they have a continental breakfast...not much but enough. I definatly recommend staying here...can't wait to get back and see what the new owners have to offer.

I'm originally from Boardman, visit frequently and have stayed at many of the hotels/motels. America's Best Value Inn is one mile from my mom's house. Since I spend most of my time with family (and my mom or sister feeds me) a budget motel suits me fine. This is a no frills property, sleep & shower only. Very small room-VERY small. It is usually my go-to place because at around $70 per night with all the taxes, it was an awesome value. I've stayed here every visit since 2007. First, the good stuff. The staff is exceptionally nice. I was moved to a king room after mentioning a preference for it. No extra charge. The room is as clean as an old room can get. Now the not-so-good stuff. This place needs renovated. The hallways smell horrible. The room smells funny too but it's a different bad smell. My mattress was so broken down I literally migrated to the deep divot in the middle. The sheets were thin and scratchy. The TV is a small old-style TV, not a problem for me except mine had a bad speaker so it had no sound. Honestly, I had to check out early because of the smell & mattress. The manager offered me a suite and assured me it would be more comfortable. He was very sincere. I do like the staff here. However, if there are bad rooms then they shouldn't be used for guests in the first place. If the property gets new carpet, paint & mattresses I'll come back because it is a super value for my circumstances. If you're on a budget for some reason give this place a shot but test the bed & TV first thing so you have time to move.

This is one of a very few motels that accept two pets. We stayed there twice in June with our TWO English springer spaniels. Staff were helpful. The rooms were clean. Beds were ok and the morning buffet was sufficient. Management has made good changes. We would stay there again.

I was driving through the Ohio turnpike on my way to Maryland and only needed A place to stay. Just wanted to rest and drive first thing in the morning. This place is served while for that purpose. My kids enjoy the free cereal breakfast. The accommodations were just okay. Very obvious that this is a low-budget hotel. Therefore staying any longer than necessary would be uncomfortable. I Was glad that we tried it out, seemed to have worked out well for myself and my two kids. FYI- Although my wife would've never wanted to stay here...a better accommodation is down the street at the Holiday Inn, but double the price.

Rooms are decently sized and clean but furnishings are a bit spartan (old TV, no microwave or refrig, no desk). Pets are allowed, but they charge $10 per pet per night. Friendly staff... Room rates are very reasonable. We would stay here again.

We stayed here on June 5 on our way east. Very basic hotel. Small rooms, threadbare towels. Minimal breakfast set-up, only two tables with 8 chairs. Decaf coffee dispenser had sign taped to it "No decaf". Seemed clean, although I killed a small beetle in the bathroom. Staff was just there, no one greeting or smiling. Shower ran cold to lukewarm Saturday morning. When I mentioned it to the front desk, I received a detailed explanation as to why that happens. Did not receive an apology or rate adjustment. Two and a half stars, would not stay again. I cannot see how anyone could rate this as a "Very Good" or "Excellent" motel.

We stayed here on June 7, 2015. The outside looked newer and was conveniently located off the freeway. However, the inside needs updating. In our room (121) the linens on the bed were very threadbare, the pillows very flat and worn, the lamp was dangling (broken) the toilet seat hinge was missing a cap (broken) and the sink had a huge crack in it. The clerks were very hospitable and welcoming and the continental breakfast exactly what we expected. However, I will probably try a different hotel in the future unless there are some recent reviews that investments have been made to replace worn out linens and fix broken hardware.

I passed this place on the way to my delivery. It was formerly a Microtel Inn. I checked online once I delivered and noticed it was a special rate to pre-book on trip advisor. I called the hotel before booking to verify the type of beds and accommodations and it was in fact as a Microtel with king size bed cont breakfast etc. All this for only $41.00 + tx on line. This was 1/2 price from regular rack rate. The clerk couldn't believe what I played and had a when I checked out. I love these kind of surprises,it makes my day. How about you ?

The clerks were generally indifferent but the place was clean, safe and quiet. That is all we were looking for and we weren't disappointed. The inn was very close to the Ohio Turnpike and not far (2 miles or so) from decent restaurants further north and major shopping 5 miles north. This one was a converted Micro-tel room so the room was small but we expected that.
