Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham West Chester - West Chester

I chose it based on proximity to The Note and Gay st and that it was one of the less expensive hotels. It was much much nicer than I expected. Nice staff and pretty clean with No extra bells or whistles. If for some reason I find myself back in West Chester, Pa I would stay again

It was a nice hotel for the price. It's just next to highway 202 which is good for commute. Also the hotel is in a business complex so not much of rush. I liked the stay. The only complain is the housekeeping. They will not replenish items unless asked for even it is laying empty. Overall good hotel.

It was exactly what I needed. Comfortable room, near major roadway, private and secluded just enough. The television is really my only complaint, wasn't a flat screen and the picture had a bluish hue.

I basically chose this hotel based on proximity to my destination and low price. The ratings were decent and the title says it all - you get what you paid for. Nothing fancy in the room - old tube TV, tiny desk, the bed, a couple end tables, no-nonsense bathroom. What is a no-nonsense bathroom? You get one bottle of 2-in-1 shampoo, bar soap for the […] body, bar soap for the face, facial tissues that feel as rough as the toilet paper, and your standard hair dryer. The place was clean, in that well-lived-in kind of way. Thin walls - we heard our neighbor's music and sexytime. I have mixed thoughts about the service. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly but the cleaning staff blatantly disregarded my "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door. I put it up because I did NOT want them to go into our room while we were gone. When we came back, the sign was on the floor of our room and the room was cleaned. That really irked me. I went to college at WCU and a group of my sorority sisters get together every year for a Girl's Weekend before the holidays. Two of us shared a room, rather than drive back home the same night. Our decision to stay here was purely driven on price, because we only needed it as a place to crash!! After all the not-so-positive reviews I read, I'm not […] sure what I was expecting, but we were pleasantly surprised!! We were on the 2nd floor right above the hotel's entrance. The room had 2 Queen beds with ample space and a really cute window seat!! The bathroom was a good size and, most importantly, clean. We were super excited about the mini fridge (I didn't recall reading about that in the description of the room's amenities)!! The TV in the room wasn't a flat screen, but we weren't there to watch it, anyway. The top of the wardrobe, where the TV was perched, was very dusty, as well as the alarm clock radio on the cabinet between the beds. My only actual complaint is that the mattresses are very hard. Three Guests, Two Queen Beds, only two sets of towels and face cloths. Bed was HARD! No coffee pot in room, but one was gotten for us. This was a suprise getaway for my girlfriends birthday and when we checked into our room we found the sheets were "covered" in yellow stains, we asked for new sheets and the man working at the desk politely gave them to us, only to find out they were stained too!, we took all the sheets of the bed to find the pillow top matress had blood all over it! […] at that point we were disgusted! we asked for a new room and the man got us a new room. we got into the new room only to find the sheets were all stained in that room too! It was late so we ended up taking all the sheets off the bed and sleeping in our clothes! we ended up buying our own sheet, blanket the following day. The price was unbeatable. Microtel is a lower-budget motel but far better than many big brands at the same $. They have low-cost furniture and limited Continental Breakfast. It is totally worth the $. I would stay here again. It is what I expected.

The room was on the small side but adequate. My only problem was poor sound insulation from neighboring rooms; I could hear my neighbor's TV too well. The hotel is at the south end of the US 202/322 freeway, convenient to the western Philadelphia suburbs, although there isn't much of interest nearby.

I got more for my money than I would have if I stayed in Philadelphia. I paid way less for a room that included a mini kitchen and living area. It was a great quality hotel and the staff was extremely nice. The only complaint I have is that the breakfast ends at 9:30am. I wish they could extend it to 11.

Very nice surprise to find this hotel! I didn't want to pay the high prices of the area and was dubious about this hotel as it was priced same as the small, old (1050s?) motels along the highway. I did have a little difficulty finding it as it is hidden away and had indistinct small signs. My family was spending the evening visiting Longwood Gardens and needed an expensive and convient stay for the evening. The rooms were comfortable. I reserved 2 rooms each with 2 Queen beds. This hotel is a good value for a simple overnight in West Chester. The one drawback for me is that in their zeal to provide clean rooms, they use some chemical cleaner that I am allergic to. But that may be a problem only for a small minority. For example, Fabreze seems to be the most popular room deodorizer around, but it gives me a headache.
