This was a very nice place even though a lot of repairs were underway due to an ownership change. Our room was perfect in every way with an exceptional view over looking the Lake. The whirlpool was a pleasant surprise and made a great way to relax after a long day. Someone didnt do their job cleaning the room. Garbage found behind bathroom door, remote for tv not clean. We were given a suite with an already clogged toilet. As this was our wedding/reception venue, and 'plumber' showed up as i was getting dressed, there was no time to switch rooms. He said there was something jammed in there, but it should be ok, […] working but slowly. At 1:30 in morning toilet overflowed, and overflowed, and overflowed. I was stranded by a massive winter storm so I needed an emergency place to stay. The location near St. Catharines was convenient, the price was good and the room had what I needed. I have stayed in this hotel numerous times. The Tv signal was poor. Our sliding glass door had a very long crack in it. The coffee maker was filled with old dirty water, and they had left 4 packets of decaf coffee, no regular coffee. When we left on Sunday, there was a female clerk that was obviously fixed on her other tasks behind the counter. As we […] approached the checkout desk, she was busy sorting paperwork. She never raised her head to even notice us. I dropped the room keys on the desk and she only said, "Are you checking out?". That was all she said, and she never raised her head from what she was doing. I said,"Thanks", and we waited for a response. Nothing.....so we turned and walked away. The other issue was with our bath towels. We left all of them on the floor of bathroom. According to their notices, the towels will be changed when left on floor. Well, the towels were all picked up by the cleaner and folded. The cleaner actually put them back up on the towel holders. I know this because my son cut himself shaving, and there was very little spots of blood on the towels. Obviously, the cleaner did not even notice!!!! Hot water is turned down at night. I turned on hot water in late evening, and it took 20 minutes to get hot water. Checking hot water is a habit of mine. I always time it. A lot of hotels turn off their extra hot water tanks, to conserve energy, at our expense. Read more

the only issue with this hotel is the pub. The food and the service was NOT good. The rest of the hotel was superb. Every room has a view of the lake with a patio to sit out in the good weather. Still nice to look out. Beds were comfortable and the hotel was wonderfully clean.

Very scenic - all rooms overlook the harbour. Convenient location on QEW, but no highway noise in rooms. No elevator which is a negative. Incredible dinner with excellent service overlooking the harbour. Impressive breakfast/lunch buffet on Sunday. We had 3 rooms, each was nice. We all paid the same amount but one room had a king and a double while […] the others had 2 queens. Each had a balcony. Front desk staff were unaware of a special designation for our rooms (group rate) made in advance - but management did sort things out prior to our checkout. Parking was free and convenient.
