very good hotel, neat and clean, the price also reasonable. The only weakness of this hotel is it not near to the metro, one need to walk around 15 to 20 mins. But except this weakness, it is really a nice choice.

We stayed in a room with two double beds. Our booking was stated 'city view' but it was of a brick wall. That turned out not to be an issue because we were able to escape any noise from Paseo Reforma. The internet in the room and lobby worked great. We chose the breakfast buffet plan with our room which we would highly recommend to other visitors. The […] food was great, plentiful and with egg and waffle stations, made to order. The staff was very accommodating to our needs. We needed a medical doctor who was in our room 30 minutes after the call. His charge was very reasonable for in room service. Our traveling companions used the room service menu which was varied, quickly delivered and excellent. The hotel's location is an easy walk to local attractions. We did use taxis but if you do like to walk the central Zocalo at the National Palace is an easy 30 minute walk with lots of things to see along the way. The room was pristine and quiet. Plenty of hot water and decent water pressure in the bathroom. Plenty of hbo for zoning out to after a full day of exploring. Biggest wish was for the concierge to be more evident and not needing to pester the desk staff with questions about the city.

We appreciated the bathroom which was well-equipped though very small, the room was in a very quiet part of the hotel. It is also well situated for visiting the interesting places of the capital: the historical center and the Bosque of Chapultepec!

The room size was slightly small, but otherwise it was fine. Both the room and bathroom were nicely appointed. The breakfast buffet is definitely worth the price if included in your room rate - even as a vegetarian I was more than satisfied.

This hotel is in a great location, right on the crossroads of all of the interesting zonas! Centro Historico & Chapultepec are only 20-25 minute leisurely walks away & Insurgentes metro station is only a 10-15 minute walk. The hotel was great value & the staff exceptionally helpful. I cannot fault this hotel.

I do love the Emporio. Over the Last ten years or so, when visiting Mexico, I have found myself staying at the Emporio in Mexico City. I have stayed at the property for many reasons one being I feel safe on the property. Emporio is located on Reforma (Mexico City's Main Street) You can walk Reforma from Chapultepec Park, Zona Rosa all the way to Juarez Avenue and from there to Zocalo (Main Square) The hotel is definitely a boutique hotel with nice beds, flat TV, IPhone, pod or ipad sound […] amplifier. I will definitely stay at Emporio Reforma again. We arrived a few hours before check-in time and the hotel did not have an issue with checking us in ealry without an extra charge. The amenities were great. We ordered room service and the food was delicious.

This is a fabulous hotel; great staff, very safe place, excellent location, and (if you are lucky enough to stay over on saturday) an excellent Sunday all-you-can-eat brunch, complete with live music! The 'standard' room was not massive, but still very comfortable and clean. I would use this hotel again, definitely. Highly recommended.

The Emporio is a relatively compact but very well run hotel. It has a nice looking lobby with tables and chairs for meetings, excellent security, good food at the restaurant upstairs and the cafe downstairs, and an extremely attentive staff. The small business center has two working computers and a printer and is usually staffed. The gym is quite small […] and will serve the traveler who can get by with weight lifting and very light cardio. I stay there when the price is right, and I don't mind the small quarters. If space is important to you, be sure to pay more for a larger room. The compact and less expensive rooms are fine with me, and I appreciate the amenities. Oddly enough, the chocolates that they leave for turn-down services come to mind as a notable plus. The bath products are also pretty good if you need them. If you stay during a Sunday, you'll be right on Reforma which turns into a no-vehicular-traffic ciclopista for walkers and bikers in the morning. All in all, a great place! Read more

I will definitely go back to the Emporio! Instead of a modern non-descript facade of glass, steel, or concrete, you get a renovated grand old hotel with a 19th-century facade, in a safe neighborhood close to the major hopping areas of town. Service was impeccable, my reservation was in order. The cafe next to the hotel entrance has class, looks very […] nice, and serves a great continental breakfast for 74 pesos ($6.50). The hotel taxi service (private car) is expensive, so it's better to go to the taxi rank, perhaps 300 ft from the hotel entrance, where you will find safe red-and-gold taxis. It cost me 130 pesos ($11) to go to a friend's house with the hotel taxi, and only 50 pesos ($4.30) to come back using a regular taxi. The rooms are a little smaller than at major hotels like Marriott etc., but very comfortable. And this hotel offers free WiFi with routers on each floor, while the Marriott Reforma down the street makes you pay and has poor signal on the higher floor. By moving from the Marriott, where I was for business, to the Emporio for the leisure part of my stay, I cut down the price in two and I got a nicer experience. Read more
