hoote is for thos who wanna go on a budget. The common areas are clean and ok. The room bathrooms are ok but the room itself has dirty carpeted floors that need a refreshment and normal pillows should be a norm. Value for money kind of OK almost too expensive for what u get. The night clerk lied to us and told us we had breakfast included. They charged us for it after we'd eaten. The rooms were dark and dreary - reminded me of the room the Blues Brothers lived in. Receptionist was very rude and unhelpful. Not recommended.

The hotel has a very good location and the personnel in the frot desk are very charming; however the place is plain ugly, there is no other way of describing it. Nothing ever seemed totally clean, the beds were uncomfortable and there are a lot of rooms without an a/c unit. I dont think I'll ever stay here again.

It was ok as an overnighter, but we'd look for somewhere nearer the sights for a longer stop... Wish we'd realised the tram from Part Dieu stops almost outside. It would have saved a long walk!

I loved it there. Great location in relation with airport connection from Part-Dieu and the center of the town. Good room. Great bed. An actual bath tub in the room which was really nice. get some earplugs if terribly sensitive to the noise if you get a room facing to the main road like I did. Overall, I was pleased.

The location is great. The room space is good for a good night of sleep. However, upon arrival I was sent to a room which was under construction. Next redirected to another room with two single beds (which was not what I booked for, but the only available). Except for one staff at the reception, the rest could improve on the friendliness side.

Room was fairly small, sparsely furnished and decorations/carpet were tired but it was generally clean and serviced daily so for the price we couldn't really fault it. Area was a bit noisy at night so had to sleep with windows closed which was a bit stuffy and might be unbearable in summer without the a/c unit working (couldn't test it as no remote […] control available to switch on). Location is close to the old university building and a bit run down but didn't concern/deter us from walking back after midnight. This was my worse hotel experience - photographs on line and the hotel in reality were two different images!! In a rough area, with voices and trams all night long, the smallest room and bathroom ever, i would advise people not to go unless this is what you would like!! Avoid at all costs (plus they charge you hidden car park and taxes fees)!!

Booked this Hotel for a stop on our way home from Spain. The person at the desk was unfriendly and seemed unmotivated. The room was smelly and dirty and looked dark and depressing. The room walls is very thin, if someone walks through the hallway you can feel the vibration and hear it loudly if you are trying to sleep.
