The location was great - convenient to Opryland and the big mall. The staff at the hotel were all friendly, courteous and responsive. The hotel itself was older and showed its age. The carpet appeared old and in need of being replaced. We were in a handicapped room so there was no counter space in the bathroom.

Motel was definitely aged. Could use some refreshing. Not the same Country Inn and Suites that we stayed in years ago. Furniture was stained. Bed was flat and made it impossible to get a good night sleep. Got up the next day with severe back pain and suffered the entire day. Breakfast was mediocre. At least the free cookies were good. Would not stay here again unless the motel received a complete makeover. Tried saving money so guess I got what I paid for this time by going cheap.

My husband and I stayed here with my mother-in-law and we found this place to be a perfect location for us. Easy access to Opryland and restaurants. Santa Fe Cattle was recommended by the front desk and was a great steakhouse for dinner. It was close to the airport, but never heard a plane go by. And their breakfast was delicious. Hot items like eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, and waffles, as well as cereal, pastries, juice, coffee, etc. Perfect for us since we were on our way to the airport and didn't want to stop for food. The only thing I didn't like were the pillows. They were like marshmallows. Nice and fluffy, but when you put your head on them they flattened into nothing.

Upon arrival, the attendant was very curt with me. She gave no smile or welcome although she was prepared and already had our room assigned and key cards made. This fortunately made the amount of time I had to deal with her short. The general maintenance is mediocre for the hotel and room itself. The bed was fine but all of the pillows on both beds were hard and flat. They did not have enough plates or seating at the breakfast and it wasn't even that crowded but yet they ran out of plates 3 times during our breakfast.

Please accept my apology if our clerk did not address you in a friendly manner. Our clerks are usually very outgoing when welcoming guests that are checking in. I will be certain to speak to our front desk staff to ensure that all our guests are made to feel welcomed at our hotel. I appreciate your candid feedback regarding the space in the breakfast area. 14 years ago when the Country Inn & Suites first came to the Opryland area, we did not have the breakfast variety that we have today. Back then, we were only serving the most basic of continental breakfasts that consisted of mainly muffins, bagels & cereal. Since we have added all the hot items to our menus, we have found that the breakfast room size ( which was once adequate space ) is not large enough to handle the demand on busy days. We are looking into ways to expand the breakfast area, however we have not yet come up with a viable solution as of yet.

The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The room was clean and well supplied with frig, microwave and high speed internet. The hot breakfast was better than most I have had and the fresh fruit and cookies at the front desk were a nice treat. It was an easy walk to a large variety of restaurants and even a few with live music in the evening. It was about a 12 minute walk to the Gaylord Convention Center, and about 25-30 minutes to the mall. Two things I would have liked would have been a safe in the room and a shuttle service (for a fee) to downtown and the airport; taxi's were the only option. Still it was reasonably close to the Gaylord Opryland where my conference was held and I wouldn't hesitate staying there again.

This is the second time I have stayed here and will stay again. I like the safety of the doors to the hotel being locked and the lobby doors are locked also at 11 pm. I love the breakfast which comes with the room and using real plates and utensils. Most free breakfast hotels use plastic.

We usually receive very favorable feedback regarding our mattresses and bedding. However, I do understand that not everyone shares the same comfort requirements. In regards to your claim that our Housekeeper did not vacuum or empty the ice bucket, I will speak to our housekeepers and make sure they follow proper procedure when cleaning our guest rooms.

Price was good, room was clean, bed was firm, shower was small with low pressure. Breakfast was better than fast food but not as good as a Wafflehouse or Denny's. Starting to show age, but on a budget it fit the need. I'd stay again.

Hotel was fine but overpriced. Bedspread and comforter were one in the same, no blanket underneath but one in a bag on the shelf. Air was on and it got cold. I shut off A/C but was afraid to switch to heat not knowing how furnace worked. I had to wait at front desk for long times without acknowledgement.

We have stayed at this inn quite a bit in the past. This time though we were disappointed. The room had an unpleasant odor & the overall condition of the motel was unclean. Would not stay here again unless conditions improved.

I will have our rooms inspected for ny odors and take the necessary steps to ensure that this is not a problem again. Most often, any odors in the room are caused by the a/c units. While we do have regular preventive maintenance procedures regarding the units, I will make sure that we are current on the clening of the a/c units.

Didn't want to spend a fortune to stay downtown so we chose this hotel. Location was perfect. $10 round trip shuttle to downtown was excellent especially if you plan on having a few drinks. Hotel was clean and marginal breakfast was included.

Common areas seem up to date, but the room, especially the bath needs updating. Bedding is worn and towels, especially the washcloths are seriously needing replaced. Room appeared clean and well appointed. Breakfast was average, nothing notable. The neighborhood was good and we felt safe. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The front desk person was awesome. We initially could not find the hotel and she stayed on the phone with us until we made it to the front desk. The location of the hotel is very convenient to the Grand Ole Opry as well as the General Jackson Paddleboat. Hotel was very clean and well maintained. Would stay here again.

We expected an average stay, what we got was Mrs. Constance! She was more than fabulous. She greeted us every evening, gave us advice on where to go and even "saved" my child's ipad that was left in the lobby. The great thing is she did this for everyone that walked in, she should truly be in management! We also were very impressed with the gentleman that came up quickly and fixed our tv! Thank you, thank you, thank you for making our experience great!
