Locate in walking distance to the main train and metro station. Minutes walking from shops and restaurant. We got a nice room on the top floor and staff is friendly. I really want to give this hotel 5 stars however, if you are a light sleeper like I am , this may not be a good choice and this is why I only gave 4 stars. Both my husband wake up by loud noises around 6 in the morning and later we found out it was the noises from unloading the truck for the convenient store downstairs. The second night we could barely sleep . People were gathered drinking and parting below our building. It was so loud we could not sleep even our room is on the fifth floor ( the top floor) . The screaming and yelling finally ended at 3 am then 3 hours later the trucker unloading noises started again . I really want to like this hotel , convenient location , decent room and friendly staff . But because these noises, I don't think I will stay there again .

Alpha Thun was clean and comfortable. There is a city bus stop right at the door, so it's convenient to get there from the main train station. It's very close to the lake and an easy walk to Seepark. Breakfast was included, and it was delicious. We were happy with our choice to stay at Alpha Thun.

Super nice hotel! Breakfast is class A. The hotel is out side of town and will take 20-30 min to get there but it is worth it! the view is amazing and super quiet at the end of the town and last bus stop on #101. Book it!!!

We booked the hotel and it was what we expected. We had two rooms. Room was clean although noisy from the street and no air conditioning. I travel in Europe and know what to expect from European hotels although I was expecting air conditioning. Breakfast was included which is nice. Wouldn't pay over $140 a night..

Enjoyed 2 nights in this pleasant functional hotel. Short walk from the station and main shops, nice large room (with large flat screen TV with BBC 1&2 so we coudl catch the news from home!), nice large bathroom, quiet. Breakfast might have had a bit more choice, but we would go back.

I spent 1 night in this hotel on a business trip. Compared to other hotels in bern you get decent value for money. The room was spacious and clean, but had no aircondition. I opened the window during the night. Thus I heard some noise from the streets, but it wasn't disturbing. I arrived late in the evening, but that was not a problem (I asked for […] late check in in advance). The guy doing the night shift and checking me in was a bit weird and his German wasn't very good. But not a big problem. Breakfast in the morning was good. Selection of breads, meat, cheese and spreads. Also some cereals, musli and good coffee. No fresh fruit though, only canned stuff. Good, renewed and spacious room. Clean. The location is not great but only 15 minutes walking from the train station. The worse point is that they don´t have airco and it was quite warm when I was there.
