Nice hotel. Very clean and well maintained. Staff were fine. Peaceful area, no traffic so got a great nights sleep. Beds comfortable. Bathroom modern and clean. Recommend the Indian restaurant up the road in the village. 15 min walk which is a good idea to work it off on the way back. My only complaint with the holiday inn group and its a minor one....the […] sausages at breakfast....they are woeful and this seems to be the same in all the HI's that i have stayed in over the last few years. Only needing an overnight stay, this hotel fitted the bill perfectly. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. There was a plentiful supply of towels provided. The inclusive buffet breakfast was very tasty. The only slight criticism was the noise generated from the bathroom in the neighbouring room when it was being used.

It was the worst hotel I have stayed in! The service was poor, the people that worked there were very rude! The room that I stayed in was smelly! The towels had stains! The bed was poor quality! Spent 4 nights at the hotel with my Wife and 5 Month old Daugther, the staff where very friendly and helpful. The room was kept in very good condition and very clean, the breakfast facility could be any better considering the price.

having stayed there twice before, last time 3 years ago, was pleased with the upgrading - appearance of the Inn and room, also the breakfast. Staff were pleasant and - with one exexption - very helpful. We would have appreciated two chairs in the room, both being elderly and needing back-support! All-in-all, very satisfied!

The hotel was perfect for our few days in Scotland. We wanted somewhere without the traffic of the big city, but still close enough to get to Edinburgh easily when we wanted to. Lovely friendly staff, and very clean and well presented hotel. Great value for money. The family room was perfect for my husband and I, with our two children.

The hotel is a fair distance from Edinburgh but we found it a convenient place for combining the city, the airport, South Queensferry and a straightforward route from Cumbria. Good reception, a comfortable room and a very good breakfast made for a good stay.

This is the second Holiday Inn Express I have stayed in, the first being in Bristol, and I have to say this was not as good as the Bristol one, however Bristol I think was newer. But it was still nice and comfortable. The staff at Glenrothes where very friendly and helpful at all times, one Lady who always seemed to be on the night shift and served […] the drinks was very chatty and really easy to get on with. The Hotel was clean and mainly looked very nice. One negative was the Bathroom, it looks outdated and over used and is in major need of refurbishment, the shower curtain really needs replacing and the tiling updated, however other than that it was a really nice place to stay. I felt safe having my 2 children there aged 1 and 5 months and the surrounding area was nice and quiet. The pub next door looked nice however if staying over a weekend it would be recommended to book a table as when we went we were told it would be 40 - 45 min as we had not booked, as we were hungry and it was getting on for time we decided to go elsewhere but what I seen from the food on other people's tables it looked nice. We travel up to Glenrothes a few times a year and would diffidently stay here again. However I would request that maybe next time we have some bacon available to go with the sausage's Read more
