"Close to metro"
It wasn't as close to Ramblas or the beach as I had thought, but it is very close to the Metro, which is easy to figure out. The hotel was very quiet and small, which wasn't a bad thing, but it's more like a house than a hotel; for example, the doors do not close on their own, you have to make sure you close the door behind you. I also didn't feel very […] safe putting my valuables in the safe because it is opened by the door key. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"No AC, window faces busy avenue."
Cheap hotel in all senses. There's no breakfast or kitchen, therefore there's no service of any kind. Room had no AC, which means you have to leave the window open for ventilation; and as the room faced an avenue that meant a terrible night of sleep. I will never stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Stayed overnight after a cruise"
We stayed overnight in the Hotel Rhonda after a 7-day cruise. We had a very pleasant experience. The staff was very helpful. We arrived at the hotel mid-morning and were able to store our luggage there until our rooms were ready. The hotel is centrally located and it is a short walk around to many landmarks. The room was comfortable and clean. It's […] a little noisy, but that's expected being in the middle of a city. Would definitely stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Hotel Good for Single Travellers"
The Hotel is very well located, near the heart of the city with a metro-stop in 3 mins. walking. However the room was small and low quality. They could have included breakfast into the nightly price. Good for young people staying for a short-period in Barcelona who are looking for great location rather than comfort at the Hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect for the money"
You get what you paid for. Hotel service was great. Front desk personnel was very friendly and gave us great advice of how to get to the tourist attaractions in Barcelona. The area to the rear of the hotel was not the best as we were warned by our taxi driver, but what Spaniards call bad is nowhere close to bad here in the U.S (ie, hood, barrio, ghetto). […] Very close to metro station, passaig de gracia, las ramblas, plaza catalunya and other wonderful locations. Overall I would stay there again with my girlfriend. Absolutely a 3.5 on my scale. By the way we all we did is shower and sleep in the room, the rest of the time was spent in the awesome streets of Spain. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Okay for the price"
The hotel was okay for the price but the location was not spectacular. We stayed in another hotel on the east side of Las Ramblas and it was a lot more conducive to feeling safe and walking about.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not too shabby...but beware hidden charges!"
The Hotel is undoubtedly good value for the money, relative to other options in the area. The receptionists were sweet and mostly helpful, except one who was very rude and totally unhelpful. The rooms are clean, air conditioned, and the beds are actually pretty comfortable. There is a fairly priced bar where you can get drinks and snacks in house. And […] even though we we were told it was a dangerous area by Police Officers, we felt fine there...just don't spend much time outside the hotel at night. It's proximity to everything is great. BUT Beware the added cost of EVERYTHING...wifi charges are posted, but don't forget to sign out! Most importantly, don't use the phone. We were robbed at the metro and used the phone to cancel our credit by calling collect to USA. That resulted in a 60 euro charge as they told us afterward they charge per minute for ALL calls. Very sly, but good place otherwise. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I stayed there 5 years ago, and found that the hotel is just as good now as then. It is very convenient to get to the metro and train station. Also walking distance to Rambla, etc. It is also on bus line 24, which goes without changing to Gaudi Park. Biggest negative: rooms a little small. Biggest positive: convenient.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I never write any reviews but i had to on this hotel. I travel often but this hotel by far is the worst one ive been to. i wouldve have a better stay at the motel 6. The dayshift person was nice and attentative but the mid shift person was not very nice person. Cleaning was never done. no fresh towels and i would be gone all day. Felt like everything […] was done at the bare minimum. Rooms was super hot and i got sick close i had to leave the door open. Just overall bad experience from the place. "good choice close to downtown"
Helpful staff, clean rooms, relation price-quality is good. Breakfast buffet is not bad and the good thing is that they serve it until noon time, which is very important when you arrive from a intercontinental flight. Downtown is only 10 minutes walking distance and you have many small restaurants around. The space of the rooms is good and the bathroom […] is big. You have a big safe box. "Hotel Ronda - Barcelona"
There was a bad smell in the room, possibly a combination of cigarrette smoke, humidity, etc. that would not go away even with the windows opened. The matress was super hard and uncomfortable. The air conditioner did not work and the was a ridiculous charge for Wi-Fi and parking.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel Ronda in Barcelona - great value!!"
We were very happy with this hotel. It was very close to the city center of Barcelona. Just walking distance. The rooms were very clean and the beds were quite comfortable. Everything else this close to the area were much more in price. I don't mind walking a couple of blocks to save 100 euros per night. I would stay there again!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

first at all enter the hotle it dose't look tidy, after check in the room, in side the room is was smelly, pillow was no clean n smell sniff, 3 single beds was narrow no space very uncomfortable, over one night then we ask for change the room, n the staffs was very helpfull. this room look a bit better, but when the kitchen cooking we can smell the […] oilly n noisily. then we request to change the room again. this room also no good, toilet can not flash, it was broken. so we been changing 3 rooms in 3 nights. but we are very enjoying in this location, very convenient for the transport walk round the town, besides this hotel. "Great mystery deal hotel"
I got this hotel on a mystery deal so the value and location was excellent for what I paid. "Basic but Quite location for Barcelona"
Rooms are very basic and I would have probably been a bit disappointed if going for a romantic break, but went for a music festival, so was only there to crash. And the rooms were VERY quite by Barcelona standards. I slept well.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location; clean rooms"
We are very satisfied with the stay at that hotel. The room was clean and relatively quiet. The breakfast wasn't a lot but it was sufficient. There are many nice cafes and restaurants around so if you still feel hungry you can try some delicious local food. The location is very convenient. It is close to a Metro stop if you prefer to use transportation, […] and not far away (about 20-30 min) walking distance from key attractions if you prefer walking. "Great littlke hotel"
Just back from a 3 night stay in Barca. The Hotel Ronda is a good, clean hotel in a working area of the city. We loved the fact that we were in amongst the locals ... when in Rome etc etc. The hotel itself is clean, the staff are efficient and will react quickly to any issues you may have .. when we arrived there were insufficient towels in the room […] ... a quick word with the receptionist and additional towels were delivered in a matter of minutes. The hotel appears to be popular with groups of students, but they seem to have all under control and we were not disturbed by any noise. One thing I would recommend is that, if there are any students staying then time your breakfast to avoid them otherwise you may have a bit of a wait. This is our second visit to the Ronda and we would definitely come here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
well the only good point for this hotel is their excellent location. It is near the famous La Rambla and Cataluniya. In the night its a little scary because of the nosie outside on the street. For me it was okay cause i was travelling alone i guess its not suitable for familyGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Terrible. Room stinks, because someone who stayed there before was smoking in there. No sound isolation: you can hear how someone breaking wind in the room above as if there is no walls at all. A girl in the next room was vomiting at 3 O'clock in the morning. Most of occupants in this place are Chinese workers who wake up at 7 O'Clock in the morning […] (even on Sundays) to go to work and talking to each other loudly. I did not even dare to try their breakfast - I had left that place 8 AM although I have pre-paid 2 nights stay and they did not give me refund. It is better to sleep on the street in a sleeping bag than in this place. This is the worst hotel I can imagine. I rated service as "OK", because I have seen a receptionist 2 times - she was there both times, she speaks good English, so no complaints about that. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Adequate for passing travel"
Noted a couple of reviews on the noise level and still decided to give a try. The hotel is overlooking a plaza and given the culture of Barcelona with most places up and running active until 2 pm...this was understandable. Having said that my room overlooked elsewhere and never had any trouble with noise. Room could be bigger otherwise, simple and serves […] the short trip harried stay. "2 Nights in a cave"
I have just returned from a 2 night stay at the Hotel Ronda & overall it was very dissapointing. My room (101) was like staying in a cave with very little natural light at all & what you think is a door to maybe outside it is in fact an enclosed concrete area in the centre of the hotel which people use as an ashtray. The bed was like sleeping on a wooden […] bench and the antique T.V didn't work. If anybody was to use the shower in the room above it sounded like your room was flooding. "It is ok for the location, nothing more."
The hotel is ok if you have plans to go out at night, as it is well located - despite the fact that the area is a bit dodgy at night ( take care ) Otherwise you should get a four star hotel for roughly the same price a bit far away. This one is a bit disappointing and really look like a two star hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
The furniture is quite old, I think is time to change it. Is not far from city center but is quite far from the beach.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I will not be staying there again. Never, OK, It is very close to the center and the air condition worked fine. Mabe I was just terribly unlucky. The room was badly insulated. You hear everything from neaby rooms as it was in your own room The "window" is interior so the air was not fresh. The service from the staff was below par....Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"good value for money"
The hotel was overall a good standard (I didn't have high expectations for the price we paid for it#. It has all the basic facilities, is clean and the staff are helpful. The location is fairly central and it's easy to get to the main road leading to the Plaza de Catalunya #the square at the top of Le Ramblas). I would get a taxi to the hotel first […] time as they will take you on the main streets because from experience heading the wrong way through the back streets takes up a lot of time when your looking for it yourself! Its perfect for a short trip, but for families with young children it could be a bit far away for little ones to walk to the main attractions. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Overall the Hotel was good. Car park excellent. Staff excellent. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment. We just lucked out with a room that we had to go sideways around to get to the small bathroom. "Hotel Ronda - Does What it says on the tin"
Hotel Ronda does not pretend to be the best hotel anywhere. It is a basic hotel which is clean, comfortable, ideally located, has friendly staff. "a pity about the bed"
Stayed there for one night only. The location of the hotel is good. Only 10 minutes walk to La Rambla and not far from the next Metro stop. The room was clean, the bathroom looked like it was renovated not too long ago. We had a huge roof terrace (on the 6th floor). The down fall for us was the bed. It was the most uncomfortable hotel bed I have ever […] slept in. The mattress was very worn. I would have asked for a different room had we stayed any longer. Another negative: Wifi was available in the lobby for a charge of 3Euro per hour or 6 hours per day, which I thought was a bit steep. Would not return due to the bed. "Good Value for money"
If you're content to simply want a clean room to get your head down for 2 or 3 nights and stroll round the city by day, then you could do a lot worse than this. The staff are very helpful and will give you every assistance they can. Being at the budget end, the hotel does appear to attract group bookings - whilst my wife and i were there, we were treated […] to the delights of Italian teenagers......all 50 of them! Just be aware that the acoustics in the place don't lend themselves to the quietest of nights, but then a bottle of Rioja helps to balance that out. All in all, good value for money. the hotel itself and the location was good, but the immediate surroundings and the area, was not good. It was close to the centre, which was good. the staff were very helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hi, the hotel was good, clean, the staff were very polite and helpful. There was one problem only, during our stay there were 220 students from two Universities in Italy and the noise in two consecutive nights was terrible. "Very noisy & thin walls"
We were very happy with our service of the front desk, who are under-manned and deal with everyone professionally, and on a busy weekend were more than happy to help us on arrival. However, sleeping is a problem if you can hear - walls are so thin that you can hear your neighbour showering & using the toilet. Noise from night workers, dustmen, removals […] who obviously have to work during the night makes a restful night's sleep impossible. Take earplugs !!! Extremely sparse, but clean. Had no dresser & the mini 12 inch TV was mounted high on the wall, no remote control. No reading lamp on night table. Low youth-size beds. Three stars is highly overated. Had booked 3 nights, but left after one.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location in Barcelona."
We stayed 2 nights in transit from Barcelona to Toronto. The hotel is just ok for a couple of nights. The location of the hotel is probably its best asset as it is only fifteen minutes walk to the famous La Rambla. Access to the subway (Metro) is very easy. The room is not very bright and the bath tub is small. Another asset of this little hotel is […] its staff who are very cooperative and helpful. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
