Hotel Alexandra is a very beautiful location. The staff are very helpful and the ambiance of the hotel makes you feel like you are in another time (furniture style is modern yet, it is also sort of antique). The breakfast at the hotel is also very delicious.

The Hotel Alexandra is in a suberb location - central to all sights. Elevators are small and slow. The Double Delux Room is spacious. Staff was very friendly. Our only problem was when we were checking out because a reservation for a transport to the port had not been cancelled as was previously identified through an earlier e-mail to the hotel. On […] check out, the gentleman who was to help us with our luggage from the room to the lobby never showed up - we brought the luggage down ourself. But, except for the last day misstep, the hotel was great. And I can't emphasize the the central locality toall of the sights - Step, Trevi, Colosseum, etc. The only other negative - and this is not the fault of the hotel, was we had a driver hired through the hotel to pick us up at the Rome airport. Our driver could have been auditioning for NASCAR or Indy 500. If there was a spot between 2 cars, he got it. I guess it just wasn't out time to meet our maker - we got to the hotel in one piece. We stayed at the Hotel Alexandra for two nights on our honeymoon. While some of the paint and wallpaper was showing it's age the hotel was clean and the service was outstanding. Location and value of this hotel is tops. This was my 3rd stay at Hotel Alexandra and I have been consistently satisfied with the hotel's staff, rooms and breakfast. The proximity to the Barberini subway stop is a plus and the hotel is within easy walking distance to major tourist sites. Very nice! The proprietor was very accomodating and friendly. We spent just one night with a lay-over in Rome but would like to go back. Beautiful view of the Med. Close to the airport so it was very convenient. The included continental breakfast was adequate but nothing special.

The hotel was old and not well maintained. The "deluxe" room was small and in desperate need of fresh paint. The mattress was very lumpy and uncomfortable to sleep on. we have stayed in your establishment several times. We were shocked at the difference in attitude toward us. We left a list of our complaints at the front desk when we left. After we departed we heard from our daughter that she tried to tell us of a family problem but was told she was not understood and was hung up on more than once. She asked if she […] could leave a message and was told NO. We waited over two hours for shampoo and pillows. We waited another day for hours for bath towels. There was a most annoying leak and dripping in the toilet that sounded like bombs in the dead of the night. More than these inconveniences was the feeling of not being cared about and even unwanted. Older hotel in a good location steps to Baribieri metro station. Rude staff, wireless didn't work and they really didn't care- said to use the common computer. Great location. Within walking distance to many of the sites of Rome and if not, there is a Metro station on the same block at the hotel. The only real complaint are the beds. There are hard as a rock. I can sleep on firm mattresses, but these were way beyond firm.

My wife and I recently stayed at this hotel on the Via Veneto. This is not the first time we have been to Rome so I am familiar with the type and quality of hotels in this City. This was our first overseas experience. The Hotel Alexandra was a great choice. Location perfect, and a room on the back was quiet compared to the busy street on the front of the hotel. We were upgraded to a larger room with a bath (originally one with a stand up shower) at no extra cost. Bed was very comfortable. Hotel is across the road from the metro stop Barberini and is centrally located. We walked everywhere as its so easy to do, whether its the 10 minute stroll to the trevi fountain or a longer one across the city to the Vatican. Oppholdet var ganske bra.Betjeningen var veldig blide og hjelpsomme, frokostsalen var bra, frokosten helt ok. Vi hadde rom 442, det var vi vel ikke helt fornøyd med.Med vindu ut mot Via Veneto så følte vi at bussene kjørte gjennom rommet ved fotenden av sengen.Madrassen var som å ligge på noen sekker med poteter, det med madrassen ble tatt opp i resepsjonen […] uten at det hjalp noe.
