The hotel was clean desk personal friendly and helpfull in getting directions for getting around. The room was small but for one person ok , the breakfast needs help that would be my only complaint.

The room was damp feeling at first, not sure why. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was not cleaned like a bathroom is supposed to be (very disappointed in that. Its sad when the sign on the hotels billboard says "best hotel on the block". That should have been a sign of things to come. The five of us checked in and I went down to get more towels since there were only two in the room and got a look from the woman at the front desk. Did they really expect all of us to share 2 towels? The hotel overall was nice. Clean rooms, friendly people, nice look to it. I did have a few problems though. The front desk staff was often MIA but when they were they they were extremely friendly. The ran out of cups in the breakfast area and apparently had no way to replace them until later in the day. Teens staying at the hotel would spend hours […] on the computer (on Facebook). A time limit would be beneficial. The front clerk did get them off for me once but they gave me five minutes and then stood behind me waiting impatiently for the rest of the time. I have stayed at other Mircrotels in other states but this one was sub satandard. The heater/ac unit simply didn't work, plus plastic shroud was broken and sagging off the front of the unit. There was a cloth cover over the smoke detector and the toilet seat was broken and actually falling off the commode.

This hotel has filthy rooms.the bathroom had a ring around the tub carpet was stained and the comforter on the bed was dirty. I asked the staff for clean towels at one in afternoon and I was told wait an hour so they could wash a load.the owners of the hotel(an Indian couple)were the housekeepers .

If you want to do anything but sleep, this is not the place for you. I went from the 3rd floor to the front desk 8 times trying to get a tv remote that worked -- ended up going to bed. The internet access was intermittent at best. Free internet only counts as an amenity if it works. The advertised breakfast buffett is also non-existent. Can't exactly put my finger on it but just didn't feel comfortable. Slept only about 30 mins. Felt like I needed to wear my sandals while walking in the room and bathroom. However, I can't say that I saw anything gross or dirty. I just felt uneasy about it. We were driving to Florida from Houston and needed a quick layover stop for about 5 hours. The hotel itself is ok for the price, but the service stinks. The rooms have been renovated- new paint, carpet, comfortable bedding. A bit small, but ok. But there were major service problems. We arrived late in the evening after a day of traveling and checked into our room. The air conditioner was off and it was about 85 degrees in the room and the […] humidity had to be 110%. We turned on the air conditioning and it cooled off quickly, but the sheets felt damp all night from the humidity. The air conditioner leaked and the carpet was soaked beside it. Breakfast- we showed up well within the designated hours. The waffle batter was completely out. I asked if they could please make more since several customers were wanting waffles. She wandered in 10 minutes later, turned off the waffle iron and walked out without saying a word. We could have had cereal, but there was NO milk. We could have had orange juice, but there were NO cups. We finally decided to use the tiny cups that were for the waffle batter in order to get a little juice. So we checked out and went for fast food! This could be a decent hotel for the price, but the service was just too bad. Read more

We arrived at about 6 pm and there was no one at the front desk. There was a sign that said to yell loudly because the workers couldn't hear because the dryers were too loud (not sure what this meant). I yelled several times, but no one came out. After about 10 minutes, a girl with game in and began to help us. She had a runny nose and kept wipping […] it with her hands. (I was tempted to offer her a tissue, but i didn't have one handy) We finally got our room. It was fairly clean and the beds were pretty comfortable, but the shower head was about 4 feet high up the wall and the water pressure was extremely low. It took us twice as long to shower because we didn't have enough water pressure to get the conditioner out of our hair. The "continental breakfast" was pitiful as well. It looked as if they bought all of the food from the local convenience store and placed in in their dining room. We were planning on staying for 4 nights, but after the first one, we decided to leave and go to a Holiday Inn Express for the rest of our trip. I guess you get what you pay for!!!!! Read more

We traveled to Lafayette to tour the University of Louisiana-Lafayette campus. We only stayed one night and we found the hotel to be convenient to the interstate and to the city. Upon checking into room the ac did not seem to be working. Front desk said "give it sometime". After 2 hours the temp dropped 2 degrees. The morning breakfast was a joke. Only apple juice and cereal. Bisquits and bagels were as hard as rocks. No bread for the toaster. Waffle machine was broke. Orange juice machine was broke.

Got in on Friday at 2.30 local time room was not ready ,was told by front desk, prior night was booked out, came back at 3.30 room was ready. Clean and neat and easy interstate access. Breakfast was OK, good enough for 2 to 3 nights stay, good value for the price.
