Ramada Augusta - Augusta

Was disappointed to have to wait 20 minutes to check-in at midnight. Inefficient front desk clerk. Room was not that clean, bed wasn't made properly and was missing items like drinking glasses. Inexpensive and convenient to the highway. Surrounded by other more pricey hotels.

Fight broke out in room next door at 3 am. Safes did not work in any room. Yet I was charged 1 dollar a day for this service. Sheets were like burlap. Air was loud. I asked that the safe be fixed and they said they were all broken. At the same time, really. The TV was old and not HD. It is 2013 people I was surprised there wasn,t a rotary phone. I enjoyed my stay overall. The room was very nice. The amenities made staying more comfortable. The refrigerator kept things frozen even at it's lowest setting. The shower curtain upon arrival was filled with mold and mildew. They should be changed upon the departure of each guest. Other than that, everything was fine.

Everything about this hotel was above average. The only reason I gave a "3" to the "comfort of your room" was because the room we were given was directly in front of the parking lot flood lights...when we turned off the lights to sleep the light was so bright that it felt like daytime in the room. However, once we brought this issue to the staff's attention, […] they were very apologetic and was able to give us some thumb tacks to close the curtains better. It was horrible, we made a reservation then needed to add a room, they told us that we couldn't do that, so we ended up paying in cash. The receptionist was very rude and talking really loud so that everybody would hear. When I finally payed in cash and we got to our rooms one of them was still dirty and hadn't been clean. In the morning I had to fax […] some papers to my corporate office (10 pages) and the person on the front desk was absolutely rude and said that she couldn't get it done, all of this while talking on the phone making personal phone calls. Room was adequate - continental breakfast a little below par - but the king-sized bed was a king-sized PAIN! It felt like a stone slab with a touch of padding over the top. I guess if you like "extra firm", this would be for you - but the carpeted floor would have been just as soft and yielding.

I felt that they should have made the necessary arrangement to get us a ground level floor room since I had a condition with my right hip and back . Overall a nice place to stay. I was allowed to check in early so I could prepare for a concert later that day. It was so much more convenient than trying to change attire at the concert venue. And the breakfast was very nice as well. A good place with comfortable room. Would stay again.

The first room we were given looked like a war zone, certainly not the clerks fault who was very embarrassed. She had been told it was clean and ready, well certainly was not the case. We were shocked when we walked in. She immediately changed us to another room which was ok. Had to ask for more linen due to three of us. I then went to put something […] in the fridge and my fingers were covered in this green goo and had no idea what it was. I went back to the poor clerk and told her to please let housekeeping know to clean the fridge handle better. I then went back and cleaned it and took the washcloth to her and asked her what the stuff was and she said Ewww, I have no idea. She gave us clean ones of course. I then used the fitness center and not much worked properly. It was very hot in there and the air conditioner was broke as I was told afterwards. The bed was like sleeping on just bare springs and about broke our backs and hips, but oh well probably better than the floor. The breakfast was good. As I said the staff both evening check in and morning checkout were wonderful. Had that not been the case we would have left as we had to stay two nights. Read more

The hotel is in a good location, accessible to interstate & multiple eateries. The hotel itself is decent enough but the room was less than satisfactory - several bulbs were burned out in lamps, the TV remote didn't work and the clothes dresser had broken knobs. The area was quiet and hotel did not seem to be too busy .

Oddly enough, this inn was not my first choice. I had planned to stay nearby but I waited too long to book the other room. Out comes my iPhone and the Hotels.com app to save the day. I'm really not sure why the rating seems so low because I had a wonderful stay. Very comfortable bed, spotless bathroom, everything clean to perfection, courteous staff, […] and a parking area secure enough that I didn't worry about the exposed contents of my vehicle escaping while I slept. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance and prime location to my first stop of the following morning. If these are the types of things you look for in lodging, this is your place. Hotel & Room were clean & comfortable. Breakfast bar was skimpy - we ate breakfast out most mornings. Service was not so hot. If we were not out of the room before 9am each day then they skipped our room for service - we kept having to go down to the front desk for clean towels every day.

I was familiar with the Augusta area, so I knew this hotel would be convenient to interstate access and many restaurants. The staff was reasonably friendly but did not go out of their way. The hotel's computer was broken, so the hotel clerk told us to go to the Best Western next door to use their computer. The bed was horribly uncomfortable; the matress […] desperately needs to be replaced as springs were poking us in the back all night. The walls could use cleaning and a fresh coat of paint; however, overall, the room was decently clean. The breakfast left quite a bit to be desired. Self-service waffles were available as well as cereal, bagels, biscuits, and muffins. Fruit and drinks were minimal, as a pitcher of water was not even to be found. If you are looking for a inexpensive place to sleep with only minimal requirements, this is a recommended place. If you are looking for anything even remotely luxurious, keep looking. Read more

This hotel was so over rated it was a joke! Cheap everything linens, towels, T.V., carpet, breakfast, the whole 9 yards. This was a 25 to 35 dollar hotel that was so over priced it was a joke.
