A very fine hotel, right next door to the Lincoln Cathedral and close to Lincoln Castle. As convenient as a hotel could be for historical sites and itself part of a historical site.

We have been on the road for over 2 weeks and our legs and Knees are gone. We had to drag our bags up 7 stairs to the Lobby, and then took the elevator to our floor only to have to drag them up another 7 steps to our very nice room. Once their everything was fine. We had dinner in the restuarant and enjoyed a 3 course special meal plus a glass of wine and it was Great!

the hotel was very nice, staff very accommodating.The only thing to let the hotel down was the restaurant. We waited over an hour for our food to arrive... and when it did it was terrible! We complained & were told that the restaurant was busy (it had only 9 tables occupied!) I would say that the chef was unable to keep up and needs retraining as the food was very unappealing and I noticed other tables complaining so it wasn't an isolated incident.We eat at the Brewers Fayre just down the road every evening after this experience. We had a good stay here. We enjoyed dinner, one of us having a home made burger and chips and the other a caesar salad, both of which were excellent. Breakfast was also enjoyable. The hotel is a little old in places, sitting in the bath and looking around at the seals at the edge of the bath and taps was not a pretty sight, that is the only grumble […] though. Booked the Ramada at very short notice as it was cheaper than the Travelodges etc in locality. Room was fine with an enormous bed, but bath and shower were really tatty - not dirty, but really showing signs of age. Evening bar food was very good value, but breakfast was incredibly expensive. The cooked breakfast was very nice, but the menu did not compare […] to the reality of the "serve yourself to" items. Didn't use leisure failities so can't comment on those. Staff were great. The hotel room was very cold and was heated by a convector heater. This was turned of during the day time. It took ten mins for the water to be hot enough to have a shower or bath or even wash your hands. The recepetion desk did not pass on correct information about the availability of the restaurent. In the two nights I was there on one night there […] was a large coach party in therefore you needed to eat before 6.30. Very bog-standard hotel for the price, bathroom needs a proper clean/redecorate. I found something not very nice on the bed, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable. The cleaner should have seen it and removed it.

I stayed here whilst visiting a nearby equestrian event, The hotel staff were efficient and friendly and the hotel was good value with decent facilities. Much better than some of the other nearby budget hotels.

We booked the room on-line then were given a discount at the hotel as we had to leave too early for breakfast - most hotels do a fixed B & B rate whether you use the breakfast facililty or not. Ich habe auch extra noch einmal telefonisch nachgefragt und eine Bestätigung erhalten und es auch bei der Buchung angegeben. Dennoch wollte man beim Check in nichts von Hunden wissen - sie seien nicht erlaubt. Erst nach 10 min Diskussion war es dann doch möglich, […] was sich das Hotel sehr teuer bezahlen lassen hat.
