Mercure Paris Centre Tour Eiffel - Paris

Not luxurious, but certainly clean and adequate. Buffet breakfast included Brie and croissants as well as a variety of hot and cold choices. Electrical adapters in room allowed us to charge all of our American devices. Served well as our base for five days.

The hotel was conveniently located close to public transportation and the tour bus stop. The greatest treat was seeing the Eiffel Tower every day when we went out and every night when we returned. The rooms were small but that is like most European hotels. Staff was nice and helpful. I would stay here again in my next trip to Paris. C'est bon !!

Overall was clean and comfortable. It was very close to Effiel Tower about 3 blocks. If you are looking to get a view of it from your room this is not the hotel for that, there is another hotel directly in front of it blocking the view. Otherwise it was an affordable and decent hotel.

We arrived in Paris around 1:30pm. Of course we didn't expect our room to be ready then, but we checked in anyway and left our bags at the hotel. The lady at the check in said that our room will be ready in 2 hours. Coming back over 2 hours later, we were informed that it would be another hour. Ok I don't really mind the wait, but at this time it was […] already 4pm, and we still had to get ready for our dinner later. We then asked if anybody else has come by to check into the room, as my brother was meeting us there and didn't have a working phone. The hotel staff told us that there has been nobody else who tried to check into the room. An hour later we were finally able to get our keys. We get to the room, and my brother is there! He apparently has been there for over an hour. So not only was he able to check in right before we came by last time, but the hotel staff didn't even know/tell us he was there! There could have been some stranger in our room, and the hotel wouldn't even know. Other things that were disappointing: We tried to call a taxi before dinner, were told that they don't order taxis, but there are plenty right outside waiting. That was not true, not a single cab. We asked for another towel as there were 3 people staying in the room but only 2 towels there. We were told that we don't get another towel unless we pay for an extra bed, and we would get that towel when they bring the bed. The room was originally for 3 people! Read more

We had a great experience at this hotel. Our room was always clean and they restocked the coffee station in our room daily. Our room had a fantastic view of the Eiffel Tower. The hotel's location was great! We were able to walk to two nearby metro stations, not to mention the eiffel tower and restaurants and several supermarkets. Not very friendly staff. Very noisy area, it was hard to sleep. Finding a comfortable temp in the room was a problem. Eiffel Tower is right outside, view from the gym is impressive. We asked in restaurant how much breakfast was and they said was included then they charge us €45 for the 3 breakfast and two local calls, we just drink coffee and one pastry. But other than that, location and cleanness was good. Staff, front desk, very nice.

We read lots of reviews and have traveled to Paris on a number of occasions before. With that said, this hotel really is hard to beat in terms of location, price, service, cleanliness and convenience. Tops on the list is location. Literally out the front door of the lobby is the Eiffel Tower: a 5 minute walk if you are tired, walk backward and stop […] to window shop on the way. Around the corner in the other direction is access to a metro stop. The hotel itself is clean, bright, cheery and with friendly staff. The rooms are the same. If you are expecting large rooms, you will be disappointed. But, this is Europe, and its the rare room that amazes you with its size here, so change your expectations and literally everything else about this hotel will be pleasing. While certainly if you have another favorite area of Paris rather than the Eiffel Tower area, you may be able to find a better hotel for your particular needs, this hotel can not be beat if you would like a central, well-managed hotel.
