It's a perfect hotel for a safe and comfortable stay. The room is very small, like most European hotels, but large enough for one person. When visiting Paris you're out all day sightseeing and just need a place to sleep. The continental breakfast is delightful with fruit juices, french bread, pastries, yogurt, cereal, ham, boiled eggs and sometimes […] cheese. The hotel is about two blocks from the Metro and there are plenty of cafes and shops in the area. The hotel is undergoing renovations. My room had not yet been renovated. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It's not luxurious but charming and comfortable. The staff is helpful, speak English, and try to make the stay comfortable. Montmartre is such a great place to see life in Paris. Hotel is only a few blocks from the Metro. It's a little further from many of the sights but it's a reasonable ride on the Metro.

The staff spoke good English and was very helpful. The hotel was located in a good neighborhood about 300m away from the metro. The location was full of small shops, bakeries, and restaurants. The breakfast included pastries, ham and cheese, and cold cereals. Overall, we enjoyed our stay there.

The location of this hotel is good. It is pretty close to a metro station. We had reserved 3 double rooms and upon arrival they only had two doubles and a twin room. We drew straws and got the twin room. We were basically in two rooms each with a twin bed and a bathroom. So much for Paris being for lovers! We also had to "rent" a hair dryer for 10 euros […] which was returned to us when we returned the hair dryer. We also had to operate a small fan in our room to stay cool since there is no air conditioning. The room and bathroom were clean just a little worn down. My bed was not comfortable at all but my husbands was fine. This hotel just needs some updating. The shower is tiny and the shower heads were broken. Carpets were old and worn. It is in a cute neighborhood. We were able to have a great dinner close by and enjoyed breakfast at a local diner as well. Read more

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Our room was larger than we expected for Europe but we noticed some other rooms were a little smaller than ours. The bed and pillows were very comfy. The breakfast was nice and typical fare for Europe. Everything was clean and tidy. We would stay there again.

it is an old, European style hotel, but the staff is great and the rooms are cleaned (sheets changed, new towels) every day. It's in a great neighborhood ( about a 5 minute walk to montmartre and a 2 minute walk to the metro). I would recommend this to anyone (especially for the price).

My friend and I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. We are two females in our 20's, and felt very safe here. The staff was AMAZING and happy to answer all of our questions. Everyone was really nice to me. The hotel is really tiny and narrow, so the elevator is really small, and the staircase is circular and narrow, but for me this was pretty cool. I liked the bedspread, and everything in the room was just really cute. Small, but definitely comfortable for one person. Good location as well, right near a metro stop.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay. Our room was small, but clean and cozy. The staff were so helpful, and the location was perfect. We recommend trying the bakery across the street, and Sfera, an Italian restaurant down the street. Both were delicious. Sfera had the most wonderful onion soup! We would definitely stay here again.

Not impressed. Yes, it was clean. Yes, the breakfast was pretty good but don't believe it when they say they serve until 10a. The do not re-load a lot of the food as it runs out. The staff tried to patiently solve our problems, but the hotel is very old, with lots of problems. The worst is water leaking from shower and from celing, from the above bathroom. This is an inexpensive (for Paris) hotel and as such we found it adequate. It was clean and the staff helpful. Breakfast good for the price. The room was just large enough to hold the bed. Near the metro but not many decent restaurants in the neighborhood. If you want more upscale you have to pay or look harder than we did.

The hotel requires that you let the front desk hold onto your key while you go out - that was a bit strange to me but it is also a bit comforting that there is no way to lose your hotel key! No English tv channels, no air con and when you opened the window all you got was a loud noisy street and all of its inhabitants till the early morning.
