I havent stayed in a holiday inn for many years it was pretty shabby back then. Stayed at this holiday inn for 3 days on business. I was thrilled they let me Check in 5 hours early. I was beat from very early flights. Was nice to grab a nap before my meetings started. Room was very nice. Very clean. Smelled great. Beds were comfy. The bathroom was nice sized. The shower was one of the best ever and I stay in a lot of hotels. Good breakfast for being a free bee! I will definately stay there again. 4/5 rating. Would be a 5/5 but no room service!!!

Our room had a King bed and a small loveseat, as well as a desk, chair and refrigerator. The pool is very, very small - more like a lukewarm hot tub,... and the workout facilities were unimpressive (a room that could have fit six machines had one elliptical and two treadmills... very sad looking, but at the same time, I never saw one person in it so maybe that's why). The location and breakfast was good. However, the room wasn't clean, especially the bathroom. No one ever came to service our room so I had to seek out a cleaning lady roaming the halls. Also, the pool is extremely small and the hot tub had a funny smell.

Booked this hotel last minute. It's location is excellent if you plan on going to Mystic Aquarium and the shops. You can walk to everything. We even walked next door to dinner too! The hotel was very clean and the staff was curtious. We traveled with 3 kids and our room with 2 queen beds and a fold out couch was more than enough. Made the mistake of waiving off the maid, asking her to come back later. Never came back, and never straighten our room the first day. Everything else was fine, except for repeatedly needing to ask desk clerk for more towels for the people utilizing the pool. Breakfast was put out buffet style, and really quit good for an included amenity.

Customer service was extremely poor. We called front desk due to loud noises coming from room above. No one answered the phone at front desk. About an hour of trying or hoping it would stop I had to change from pajamas to jeans and shirt to go down and put my complaint in. There was one service rep behind the desk on the phone I had to wait to speak […] with. She kind of apologized but said she is required to take new reservations before answering phone calls from within the hotel. Pathetic! Then I noticed there was a second rep/worker sitting in the office. Horrible service. She called the room above us but nothing changed. The noise was more like kids running and falling or playing freeze tag. It was bad and it didn't stop unfortunately. The noise was very loud in the morning again starting very early. In addition the free breakfast couldn't even count as a snack. Again there was no one available... The front desk was unattended and much of the food was scraps. There wasn't anyone around to ask for help or to ask if anything else was coming out. We waited giving it a chance and eventually a women uninterested in helping said more stuff is on its was but it was hard to understand her. Very disappointing. We enjoy road trips and don't go on them often due to mine and my husband's work schedule. Holiday Inn could have made our trip better if the service was better. Next time we will give the Hyatt or The Hilton a try instead. Read more

We had a fabulous time. The breakfast was good and our room was great. We got a jacuzzi room and it came with a complementary bottle of champagne! We will definitely be staying there again :)

This hotel is beautiful and kept very clean. From the fountain out front , the views from your room, and the delicous breakfasts the hotel is wonderful!! They give discounts to local restaurants and were very helpful with local atteractions.

Came back from a night out with friends to check out of the room at 10am. My door was open with my bags and camera equip on the bed. Turns out the cleaning staff went in my room and obviously seeing that the person did not checkout yet (me) left the door accessible by way of blocking it open. Who knows how long it was like that? Any staff member or […] guest had access not only to my room but access to $2000 in camera equip! When I grabbed my gear and did go to check out, the woman about 20 yrs old at the desk aknowlaged that my room should not have been opened until I checked out and she said "ohhh well sorry". I then said can I talk to the manager, she gave me a very stern look and said I am the manager!!!! I wouldn't put this young woman in charge of a car let alone a Hotel. What kind of buisness model do these Holiday Inn Express run. Never again!!!! If you are in Mystic, stay at the Hamton Inn down the street it is way worth the 15% more. Stayed one night. Spacious room. Everything was clean. The kids enjoyed the pool. Rate was a bit steep but they served a full breakfast which definitely made up for the price we paid. Would definitely stay there again.

We had a 3 night stay and overall, would recommend it to others. The best part of the hotel is the location which is situated at the top of a hill. It's close to everything but still above it all. We walked to olde mystic village and the aquarium. It's a few minutes drive to the seaport. I think getting down from that hill might be tough for some older […] folks. The room wasn't ready when we checked in, which was disappointing. The staff gave the kids some cookies which we appreciated. The pool is the smallest I've seen at any hotel. I don't usually care much about the bathroom, but this one had hardly any counter space and the water pressure in the shower was non existent. We booked this hotel as an overnight on our way to Cape Cod. This was the first time we stayed at a Holiday Inn Express. We were so pleased that I booked the same chain for our return trip. The room was clean and the hotel was quiet. The quality of our early morning breakfast was a pleasant surprise.
