Wall Street comes to life before dawn as traders rush to Lower Manhattan to make and break deals. But finance is just one aspect of Lower Manhattan, where colonial churches stand next to skyscrapers. Within the district, rebuilding continues at Ground Zero. At Battery Park, ferries depart for Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, America’s beacon of freedom.

Stayed in a second-floor Queen. Large room and large bathroom, especially for NYC. Everything was clean and comfortable, and functional (TV, internet, plumbing, etc.). Room was quiet enough. Drawbacks: half of floor was noticeably pitched, including the bathroom; hotel is about half a mile from the nearest subway.

This hotel was everything the website promised and more. The room was clean and bigger than what you would normally expect for a NYC boutique hotel. The bathroom was updated and extremely clean/comfortable. You're next to the east waterfront, which can be a little touristy, but we made use of the location and finally walked across the Brooklyn bridge. My only complaint would be the location -- even the East Village is a little far to walk to, and it was usually around a $20 cab ride to get to midtown and the theater district.

very helpful front desk staff. nice clean rooms - small, but not uncomfortably so. nice area, but wish it was a little closer to the subway. kind of hard to hail a cab nearby, but front desk staff was happy to call for a car. nice that it was close to the water, and convenient to the brooklyn cruise terminal by car.

Nice, small hotel on Peck's Slip in the South Street Seaport area. We attended a conference at Pace University and it was a 10 minute walk. Up and coming area with nice restaurants, relatively quite.

A block from South Street Seaport. Cobblestone streets, fun restaurants and bars on the same block. The man at the front desk told us that if we drove around the block we'd most likely find a parking spot on the street and could avoid paying the parking lot fees. We easily found a spot and left our car there all weekend. The complimentary breakfast was good. The only thing we didnt like was that the room's ventilation fan made continual background noise.

We got everything we expected, including the king size bed we booked. When we first arrived I was told they had only queens available, but when I explained we had requested a king the staff did some juggling, and found us a room with a view of the Brooklyn Bridge and a king size bed. We really liked everything about this hotel only complaint was our neighbors were a bit noisy but that can happen almost anywhere. We also had a fabulous meal around the corner at the Bridge cafe NYC's oldest operating restaurant.

I looked online at the pictures of the hotel, and it looked gorgeous. It being the "Best Western Seaport Inn" I figured the images on the website of beautiful bridge views was accurate. I was surely wrong. The Queen sized room I got online turned out to only have a view of a concrete wall, about a foot away from the window, with a crack of sunlight peeking through. When my girlfriend and I peeked through the crack, we saw a pair of underwear, a few cigarette butts, and some chewed bubble gum. The continental breakfast, however was pretty nice, and they bake cookies every afternoon, which is pretty cute. The staff at the hotel is great, but unless you order the most expensive room, your not likely to have a great time.

I reserved a room with 2 Queen beds.and a couch, but when I checked in at 6pm or thereabouts, my room had been given to other hotel guests. We were given a room with 1 Queen, a couch and a rollaway bed. (1 adult; 2teenagers) Even when I complained nothing could be done until the 2nd night. Then the room provided was quite nice.

We thought that this hotel was just what we were looking for. Very easy to drive to off of the FDR. Easy parking that was not too expensive. Great walking distance to lower manhattan, SOHO. Cute neighborhood to walk around Seaport. The room was comfortable and clean. Fifth floor end room was very quiet.

Hotel is in a wonderful location. Literally parked my car 50 feet from the front door in the cobblestone piazza which it borders. Could see both the car and the brooklyn bridge out our hotel window. Only knock at all on the hotel was a slow wifi connection. Everything else was fine. Great price, terrific location, ridiculously easy to get to off of the FDR.

Best Western Seaport Inn is in a lovely section of New York city. We have stayed there 7 times in the last 4 years and love the friendly staff, the great breakfast And the delicous cookies in the lobby! The area is full of great places to eat and shop. The Statue of Liberty, Battery Park and the Brooklyn Bridge are within walking distance. It is our preferred place to stay whenever we visit the city!

Seaport Inn was located in the heart of the seaport and surrounded by great little shops, restaurants and cafes and a 3 minute walk from the South Street Seaport. The hotel itself was quaint, clean and exceeded my expectations (for a Best Western). The room I booked through Hotels.com was located on the 6th floor and included a balconey with view and a whirpool tub in the bathroom. The staff at Seaport Inn was phenomenal - allowed us an early check-in and were very attentive and friendly.
