The room was very comfortable and nicely appointed. I was very pleased with my visit, especially for the price - I've stayed in places that were not nearly as nice and paid quite a bit more.

We stayed for 2 nights and loved the hotel. The location is perfect! You are very close to the major train/bus station and close enough to walk to the main sights. You go about 2-3 blocks and you can walk along the river down to Ponte Vecchio. The room was quite large and very clean. We loved it. The best thing about our room was the view. We had a beautiful view of Florence. The room was a bit dilapidated and had water damage that had not been repaired. This is an excellent hotel. It is located near the Santa Maria Novella train station. Very quiet. The ladies at the front desk were awesome and ready to help. The breakfast was terrific and offered a large variety of breakfast items like bread, yogurt, coffee, cereal, fresh fruit, cheese, salami, and sweets. The room was very clean and modern. Very convenient location. If you bring car, consider parking is very overpriced in the area. The hotel has a limited space parking, so if you are lucky you park righ at the hotel, otherwise the parking garage they have a deal with is several blocks away. Breakfast is fantastic. Rooms are comfortable.

We wanted a hotel within walking distance of the Duomo/museums/etc. at a reasonable price for three people. The BW Grand Adriatico fit the bill for our first trip to Florence and seems to fit the bill for American tour groups as several large groups came/went during our stay. The room was fine, though the beds were too firm. Coffee makers/extra pillows […] are by request only; parking is 20Euro per day and internet is 15Euro per day; such hotel practices are deflating. While I usually enjoy having breakfast at a local shop, the hotel breakfast (included!?!) was very good and enjoyable. We had a formal dinner 'around the corner' at a restaurant the hotel recommended and had a casual dinner right across the street; both were terrific. The walk to the city center was a joy during the day and at night, too. All in all, it worked; but I somehow feel I paid too much for what I received. Read more

The location is great, just a short walk from the train/bus station where the airport bus dropped us off. The hotel looks nice, well maintained and very clean. It doesn't look like a chain hotel. I had read previous reviews about this hotel so I did have rather high expectations. I'm happy to say that they were met. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful (everyone spoke English) and accomodating. The room was large and clean. The location was fantastic - basically, 2 blocks from the SMN train station and church. It was about 4 or 5 blocks […] from the shopping district and other sights. The breakfast at the hotel (which was included in the room rate) was good and the staff working in the dining room was very attentive and friendly. The hotel has an arrangement with a local gym located down the block, and I was able to work out for free. The only criticism I can think of is that the internet service was not included with the room rate, but that seems to be typical of most tourist hotels in Europe. Hotel Adriatico is centrally located, rooms are large, breakfast very complete and for its price, very good value. It is at walking distance (5-20 minutes) to all major sites in Florence. I would certainly come back to this hotel. Minor inconveniences: There is limited parking space so if you arrive late, you must park in a nearby Parking lot for 20 […] Euros per night, and they are not too flexible in allowing late check out. We had 3 rooms and tried to obtain late check out in one, but they would not allow. (My family did not want to leave Florence). Be warned that Florence does not allow driving within the city so you must register your car at the hotel to avoid a fine. Read more

The room was on the small side, but clean and the bathroom was a good size. The hotel was close to public transport and walking distance to everywhere. However it did seem to be in a slightly dingy part of town particularly as it was so close to the main train station. That said, we had a very pleasant stay.

When I book the hotel through Expedia, it clearly advertised as free wifi, but when we arrived the reception told us the Internet cost 5 Euro for 30 min. I thought she was joking, as the pub nearby has free wifi. So I explained that on Expedia it says free, and the reception allowed me to use their wifi, which is only available on the ground floor... As […] I am staying for 4 nights, I have to ask for the Internet every night, and surprisingly I have to argue my case each time, and the reception lady completely ignored my request the last time. The hotel was clean and the room comfortable - one of the nicer Best Western's we have ever stayed at. The breakfast buffet was really good. The only problem was the Wi Fi. Instead of paying 5 euro at the hotel for half an hour of wi fi, go next door to an internet cafe and use the wi fi for 75 euro cent for the same amount of time.

The staff are efficient and helpful and they have some considerate extras such as tea and coffee making facilitiy on request. On arrival the hotel was not much to look at, needed painting but very nice inside. the road in front of the hotel was noisy at night but fortunately our room was at the back so was quite. the hotel was convenient for travel as it was close to the bus and train stations. it was a fair distance to walk into town but quite pleasant walking along the river. […] the only negative thing was that we had to pay the extra tax on departure 16 euros each (1eruo per night per person depending on hotel ratiing.
