It was perfect. Service impeccable...Staff very friendly and accomodating .Hotel location nice and quiet after hustle of Old Town over the Charles Bridge. Our room opening onto the garden courtyard was wonderful. Breakfast out doors daily equipped with a mother duck sitting on 12 eggs, and the ducklings making their appearence before our departure. The whole trip was a ten!

We found the staff very accommodating and helpful. They had transportation tickets we could purchase for varying time periods. They arranged for a taxi to the the airport when we departed. The breakfasts were very adequate with a large variety of items to choose from. We loved the uniqueness of our room. All facilities (bathroom, TV, elevators) worked very well.

Friendly staff, quiet, nice view (nothing famous), walking distance to Charles Bridge and (across Vltava River) the Old Town.
Location.
The Best Western Hotel Meteor Plaza is located in the historic and business centre of Prague, adjacent to Hibernia Palace, the Powder Gate and the Municipal House. Ideally located, the hotel dates back beyond 1307, when the earliest recorded historical references to this building were made.
Hotel Features.
Originally known as the "White Lion", the hotel was a retreat for late evening guests who arrived after the town gates had closed. The Gothic Wine Bar, features arched ceilings that date back to 14th century Prague and offers a wide variety of beverages and food. Modern amenities and services include dry cleaning, and a meeting room containing a computer with complimentary high-speed Internet connection. A relaxation and fitness center is onsite and features a solarium, whirlpool, sauna and fitness area. Guests can dine at the Restaurant Park, serving Czech and international cuisine, as well as a wide selection of domestic wines. The hotel features a cozy terrace, where guests may delight in sipping a cool drink in the summer months. A complimentary buffet breakfast with a wide variety of cold and hot food is served each morning in the hotel restaurant.

Gothic Wine Bar - Cellar bar/restaurant containing original 14th-century arched ceilings with Czech/international dinner menu.
Lobby Bar - Vaulted ceilings, sponged-yellow walls.
Available for an hourly surcharge, the hotel's spacious wellness center has vaulted ceilings, an eight-person spa tub, a sauna, a face-tanning machine and a full-body tanning bed, a coin-operated massage bed, and showers. Spa treatments and massages are available (advanced reservations required).
There are few recreational facilities within downtown Prague other than health clubs that offer aerobics and yoga classes, with some also including indoor courts for racquet sports. An ice-skating rink is formed in Old Town Square during the winter. Running/walking paths lie along the Vltava (Moldava) River, and rowboats can be rented on the river during summer. On the other side (west) of the river, Petřín Hill, accessible from the Little Quarter (Malá Strana) via a funicular railroad, features a network of parks for walking, jogging and cycling.

The heart of the city, Stare Mesto's historic buildings are splendidly preserved. The focal point is the cobbled main square, on which stand the Jan Hus Monument, the Old Town Hall and its astronomical clock, and the Gothic spires of Our Lady of Tyn. Linking the Old Town with Mala Strana is the Charles Bridge with its gallery of saintly statues.

The location was great, this was close to everything important. However the hotel was dingy, rooms were small, the bed not very comfortable and the service left much to be desired, especially the evening shift people.

This hotel was a terrific value and a great place. Delightful room, astonishingly good location. Three minute walk to Old Town Square; one minute to Metro, two minutes to airport bus. The hotel has a great location near the old town. Limited parking for a extra charge, which is great because parking is limited. Help is provided with tours and staff speak english.

The hotel is right next to Power Tower and Municipal Hall, and few minutes away from Old Town Square and Prague Main Train Station. The staffs in the hotel are very helpful and friendly. However, the room and breakfast need improvement.

The location of this hotel is perfect, right in the heart of the major attractions. It has nice breakfast, if it is included in your booking. This is the end of my positive review of the hotel. The service of the hotel was sub-par. Front desk doesn't have a good knowledge and recommend restaurants. The worst is when we ask to call a taxi instead of […] using their over priced hotel car service 5 times of the normal taxi rate going from hotel to Prague's main train station, their front desk person shu-shi us off. Rude indeed. By the way, it is walking distance to the train station if you don't mind walking with your stuff. the location of this hotel was perfect...close to the famous clock, and also Republic Plaza. Shopping both souvenirs and quality modern shops very near. the breakfasts were great..abundant and appealing to every nationality.

We spent a few days in Prague in the later part of October, and must say that everything was great. The Hotel service was great, the employees were firendly and helpful. The brealfast buffet was abundant and they offer a great selection to choose from. Most of all is the location of the hotel. I would satay again and will recommend it to everybody.
"Enjoyed our stay at the BW Meteor Plaza in Prague"
My husband and I spent a week at the Best Western Meteor Plaza in Prague, and we were really happy with our experience. The hotel is cozy and clean, the breakfast was great, and we walked to all the key sites from the hotel, including the Palace and St. Vitus' Cathedral. We will stay there again if we go back to Prague.

The hotel was perfect. The only inconvinience we encountered was that the A/C was not working in our room. They did offer us a fan which we used. Other than that little thing everything else was to our satisfaction.
Great location! Quiet hotel. Most rooms face inner quiet couryard. Close to all major sites and can walk to everything. We will stay again if we ever come back to Prague.

This hotel was much less expensive than other hotels in the area. while the room is small, it is clean and has a good bathroom. Only missing is an iron and board in the room. They do have them upon request. the staff is wonderful. Breakfast included and is okay.

"Great location in Prague"
This was definitely an outstanding location, right in the heart of the city and within easy walking distance of public transportation. The staff spoke perfect English and was enormously gracious and helpful. It is NOT a five start hotel, but it is very clean and comfortable and the price is excellent. I'd definitely recommend it!

Hotel was south of the train station in a relatively poor neighborhood. Pick a hotel nearer to Marienplatz or near the outdoor market just south of Marienplatz. No Air Conditioning in this hotel either.

This hotel is about 10 minutes slow walk from the old town square and is really on a main street where you can't get lost getting to or from it. I was able to get all over Prague from this starting point without any issues. If you prefer to take tours there are a couple different companies just a street over. The room was large enough though the bed […] was smallish (it was a single room though) and was reasonably well appointed, except I do not like half shower doors rather than a shower curtain. This bathroom had the half shower door so water getting all over the floor was an issue with each shower. "It Was Nice, It Was Close, It Is Out-Dated"
This Best Western Hotel looks much better in pictures than it does in person. It is in a fantastic location; 5 min from the Old Square, 15 min from St. Charles Bridge and less than 5 min to 2 different metro stations. Believe it or not, it is also nice and quiet. The room was very clean, as was the shower and washroom. The only issue with the shower […] was a faulty handle, but no fuss was made about it. The housekeeping staff was phenomenal! They left us a "care package" every day at our door, which contained fresh new towels, and toilet paper - a first for us at any hotel, from 2 star to 5 star. Front desk service was okay. Without going into details, I needed to make a super-urgent local call and I was told no, I must use the room phone. Very unprofessional for such a serious issue. Other than that, the walk to the room was very long (over 2 minutes) and we thought the rooms were a bit outdated. "Fantastic location, best deal for the price"
I would highly recommend this hotel. Location was superb. Easy walking distance to all the major sites. The room itself was large for European standards, although the shower was small. Huge breakfast variety with great quality- you will start your day with a full belly. The staff was all very nice and accommodating. Air conditioning worked well.

This hotel was in a great loctation near the powder tower for walking to the old town and the new town. The breakfast was ample. The room was quiet if a bit small. The hotel is a bit drab, but a great buy for anyobne who doesn't feel the hotel is the object of the visit.

I spent three days at the Best Western Meteor Plaza during Thanksgiving. It was a great stay. The hotel is very easy to find (less than a ten minute walk from the Metro station), and about two minutes to the Powder Tower - and no more than about a leisurely fifteen minute walk to the Old Town Square. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast […] buffet. The wifi in the room was free and worked pretty flawlessly. the hotel is half a block to the Municiple Building, the cultural center of Prague. Everything we wanted to see was within walking distance of the hotel. Hotel was old but nice. Rooms were small but clean. If you're looking for a realitively cheap hotel close to Wenceslas Square this is a great option. Everyone was very friendly. Only stayed there the last night we were in Prague.

This is an excellent hotel in what, at first glance, appeared to be a scruffy neighborhood. As it turned out, it was a nice area with several nice restaurants close by. Our room was very nice and spacious. The staff was extremely nice. The restaurant/bar was excellent.

We absolutely enjoyed our 4 night stay in mid July. The hotel is so close to the Powder Gate and all of the other attractions. There is a shuttle bus at the airport that drops you off about 75 yards from the hotel. I think it was about $8USD. Clean and contemporary room and the bathroom was HUGE - had a tub and a seperate shower. The breakfast was very […] good with a huge variety of meats, cheeses, fruits and pastry. Best Western Meteor Plaza is well located, walking distance from the airport shuttle drop off location, walking distance to all the sights in old Prague. Rooms clean with good A/C. Very nice breakfast. Excellent value!

"Very helpful"
They had lost my luggage at the airport and were very helpful getting my luggage to me the next day ater checking in. Their breakfast buffet was great and free. My room was roomy and bathroom was one of the best I've seen in Europe. The location was great, near the old town square.

We had a great stay at Meteor Plaza. Our room was at the front of the hotel, overlooking the road, but most of the rooms overlook the courtyard at the back.
