The hotel is conveniently located close to the downtown Toronto airport. I think if the weather had been nicer and we didn't have as much luggage, it would have been possible to walk from the airport to the hotel (how often can one say that!) There is alot of construction outside the hotel, so it was tough to find it by car and it was also hard getting a cab later that day. Patience is necessary. The hotel staff was cold and brusque, not accommodating at all. They refused a one-hour late checkout. Also, we asked for a double room, but was given a king because there were no more doubles available. Though the room was an upgrade to a corner "suite," it was still inconvenient. The room itself was lovely. Huge bathroom, clean, comfortable, spacious. We would go back there again, particularly when the weather is nicer and we can explore the harborfront area (there is a shopping mall down the street that looked really nice with restaurants and a supermarket).

Very clean, comfortable hotel. Discreet service. Premises seem well maintained. Parking lot felt a little crowded, though - perhaps it should be a bit bigger given the size of the hotel.

I was welcomed and attended to, with a bright smile at the front desk. My room had a great layout. It was very clean, neat and professionally taken care of. The restaurant and bar located within the hotel provided great service and they were very comfortable. I look forward to staying again when I visit Toronto again.

Horrible Front Desk - NOT FRIENDLY, very HOSTILE, RUDE and stubborn. Breakfast: Microwave was broken. Toaster oven was broken, so forget warm breakfast...Couldn't even toast a slice of bread or bagel. I needed an airport hotel and chose poorly. Challenges: Horrible location too far from airport; $8.00 charge for shuttle; kitchen closes at 10:00 - impossible when arriving from the west coas; very old room, especially electrics, impossible to plug in laptop or cell phone without moving furniture, loud in room air/heat. "The Monte Carlo - A clean and easy place to stay"

"Very bad service"
First we waited for 3 hours at the airport waiting for the shuttle to pick us up. Every time we called the hotel, they either said the driver was on the way or the traffic was bad. After arriving at the hotel, they charged extra money for each additional members except the two adults for the two queen-bed room. There were hairs in the bathroom. In the […] morning, we were leaving at 6 which was the time the breakfast started. They said they would pack breakfast for us, but by the time the shuttle arrived, they only packed for two people. They said they would pack two more for the kids, but didn't until I went to the kitchen. The lady at the kitchen started to put muffins by her bare hand and saying she has been packing. She is lying obviously. I then said I would pack the breakfast myself since I didn't feel comfortable seeing her using hands to take the food, and she said her hand was clean and I was not allowed in the kitchen. The hotel was a bit dated and had small but clean comfortable rooms. There is a restaurant on site and it is not close to anything in Toronto but not far from the 401 or the airport. for the money it is a great deal especially if you factor in the free parking. The staff was friendly, and the hotel wasn't bad, but the bed was not as advertised. I booked three nights because hotels.com advertised they had sleep number mattresses, and that was not the case. I booked this hotel because this was relatively inexpensive and close to downtown Toronto. The location suited my purpose of visiting friends in and around Toronto. "FLEAS and Wet Moldy carpet odor required new room"
Within 5 minutes of getting into our room, we told the Front desk about the wet moldy carpet odor and returned to the room. Ten minutes later, while sitting on the bed watching TV, we felt something crawling on our legs (FLEAS ?). We went back to the Front desk and they immediately gave us a new room. This hotel is not fit for a three star rating. There is a hidden cost to their continental breakfast. If you want to eat eggs, you have to pay for it. They will not tell you this if you dont ask. The towels provided were so inferior, so i would advice anyone checking into the hotel to take along their towels. The ice machine was broken, you have to go down to the lobby to get ice. This hotel was not friendly to a tourist traveller. They clearly had a known business clientele they cater to but did not seem very friendly at all to others. Breakfast was mediocre at best. The service was abrupt and unfriendly. The air conditioning was loud, very cold and difficult to regulate because you could not read the knobs and some were broken.
